If this home was located at a different location, my review would be much better. However, it was not.
First, I will list the favorable items: the property was clean, the walk to the beach was easy, the distance to restaurants and grocery stores was great, and the house was equipped with everything that we needed to cook with (including a crock pot and plenty of pans and utensils- which was a huge plus!)...
However, the negatives very much outweigh the positives:
the road the property is located on flooded the first two nights (this should be mentioned in the description). And when I say flooded, I mean flooded! The water was at least 12 inches high. It was the back-up of the salt-water marsh that apparently floods out the roadway during a full moon. Secondly, the pool is tiny. I'm not sure what angle the photo of the pool was taken from in the description but it was more like an oversized bathtub, instead of a pool. It was nice to have our "own" pool but, we had 5 children and they couldn't all use it at once. Thirdly, the craziness of Myrtle Beach has found its way to this location. The first night (during the flood), a street fight broke out in the parking lot across the street. Several of us had to call the police as a group of about 20 people screamed, yelled, threw punches, and finally sped off into the night (of course, before the police arrived). Fourthly, the neighbors (which apparently own their property) set off fireworks EVERY NIGHT and had parties every night. Our last night, they were outside at 0147 yelling for "Gerald" until about 0230. The fireworks (one night) sizzled into the marsh behind us- and we actually thought it was all going to go up in flames.
For the cost, this property was not worth it. We won't be back.
