Great location and large home!

The home is very large and in a great location. Can walk to the beach! Large kitchen with everything you should need. Pool table and game room downstairs. Plenty of seating in the open areas. Comfy couches. -the house could’ve been cleaner. Dirty carpet from spills, some dust and even a dead bug. The house really sleeps 9 adults I think. We ran out of dish soap right away and had to buy some and paper towels. We had an issue with the smoke alarm but it was resolved with the owner. Upstairs beds (not master) need to be replaced. Uncomfortable and cheap. Overall a very good stay!

Not what I expected. Needs some TLC!

Luxury Beach House?!? NEAR the beach…yes. But not beachfront as suggested. Luxury….hmmm. The space was great for our entire family to stay, but it was needing some help. Light bulbs burned out Blinds missing in the bedroom Kitchen and pantry, a hodgepodge Mismatched bedding Moldy furniture on the patio Not my idea of Luxury. Would not recommend staying here especially at the price Garage remote

Vacay

We do an annual family beach trip, to celebrate my husband's birthday. This house is a gem. It accommodates our family with the 4 bedrooms and baths plus allows my son to bring his two small puppies. Its a short walk to the beach. Stores are close by if you need anything. This is our second time here and we will continue to come as long as its available.

The property was located in great neighborhood and a block from the beach. Overall the property was clean and accommodating and a lot of space for hanging and enjoying the summer weather.

Great house close to beach

We had a great stay here, house has plenty of room, great parking, washer and dryer. If you love reading they have plenty of book options and some fun family games to play. There are bikes, a wagon and boogie boards. Plenty of linens, so no need to pack beach towels. There are camping chairs which was also very nice to bring to the beach.

Beach Life

Great location. Every year we do a family beach vacation, this home was large enough for the 11 of us plus allowed us to bring our 2 small dogs. Each family had there own bedroom and bathroom. Perfect for us.

Great getaway!

Myself and 9 family members stayed here to celebrate my parents 45th wedding anniversary and 70th birthdays! Home is beautiful and had everything my family needed to have a good time! The outdoor space was amazing and the extra large dining table was perfect for playing games! Bedrooms were sufficient and had plenty of blankets however, I would recommend bringing own pillows and maybe even a mattress pad as beds are very hard. 3.5 bathrooms and all had plenty of towels and extra bath accessories which was nice. Kitchen was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need. Would plan on taking extra paper products such as paper towels and toilet paper as what was supplied ran out after a day. We were looking forward to riding the bicycles that were advertised but both had flat tires. Instead we used the boogy boards and beach chairs provided and had such a fun beach day! There was a leak in the garage that poured water everytime upstairs bath was used that was concerning but the property manager was easily reached and responded quickly. Definitely a great beach house for the price and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The location of the house is great. Close to stores, restaurants and walking distance to beach. I have stayed in a few beach locations in Ventura and enjoy visiting Ventura and surrounding areas. As for staying at this site, it needs lots of TLC!

Great summer stay

We were very happy with the house. Very clean. Plenty of room to hang out and relax. There were a lot of extras, too, like board games, books, beach equipment for us to use. Really convenient to the beach (walking distance) and to the port for Channel Islands (short drive). Loved having the washer/dryer/drying rack there. Outdoor shower was great, too, for rinsing off the sand after a day out. We were *very* conscientious about the neighbors. We pulled up and got some leery side-eye looks from locals. No fault of the owner (and, honestly, I’d be the same if I had a vacation rental next door). So we were constantly on guard about our noise level. No big deal, but definitely not the place to have a loud party. Thanks for great stay!!

Amazing Family Beach Vacation

This house is perfect for a family beach vacation!! My daughter was married in Oxnard which was a destination wedding for us. Our three adult children from around the country stayed with us, so we were all together for the week. We were comfortable, and enjoyed the downstairs pool table and huge couch for relaxing and visiting. Perfect place for the bride to get ready, the skylights made for beautiful photos, so close to the beach that we enjoyed walks along the water and it was the perfect place to relax!. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of small appliances, we were grateful for the extra towels, blankets, and little things like extra trash can liners. Our host was amazing, he anticipated all of our needs and made this the most special weekend we could have spent at our daughters wedding!! We stay at large Vrbos (4+ bedrooms) twice a year, this house and host are a 10! We’ll be back.

Family summer trip

Very good location, walking distance to a clean sandy beach. Close driving distance to stores and restaurants. House is very nice, spacious with lots of amenities: cookware, dinnerware, utensils and glasses; towels and bedding all plentiful. Only the paper goods (toilet tissues and paper towels) were not enough for a 4 night stay.

Arlo video cameras everywhere. Privacy laws broken. Tvs did not work upon arrival. Worked with owner to fix but a waste of time. Spectrum showed up next day to fix. Barely any paper goods in unit. Needs a gardener to clean up weeds around property. Nice walking distance to beach.

California Family Time

Overall the stay was good. Location was premium, regardless of weather. We all came from wintery weather, and we love the Shores. As for the property … It needs a good amount of care from the owner(s). Good space. I rented the same house on Terramar years back, also at The Shores. It was 10x nicer. Old, dirty furniture (some in disrepair), old remnant of water damage complete with signs of black mold are not desirable, and unsafe. The clothes dryer needs servicing, but functioned. Fortunately there were a lot of blankets & throws to cover the dirty couch and chairs. The feather stuffed furniture and pillows are ready for retirement. It did not appear that good cleaning between guests was a priority. The pantry and other storage areas/ cabinets/ drawers were so disorganized. The BBQ grill was so filthy we couldn’t even use it. Thumbs down on towels/ linens. Extras were in a little closet and on the floor rather than a small shelf or laundry baskets-??? The images on the web page show good looking bed rooms and the beds were indeed nice ones. The foundations on the other hand were not so nice, and uncomfortable. Because I am big on clean, it didn’t take long to discover the mattress pads were not washed prior to our visit. The king mattress is very nasty. Bring your own paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, …etc The property could be lovely if cleaned up a bit. A little gardening, decluttering, sprucing inside and out.

Great for big groups

We spent our annual family post-Christmas trip at this house. We had a wonderful time. The common rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There were so many extras like books and puzzles and games. We have never seen so many and we go on this trip every year. We even discovered a new game for us called Balderdash which was fun and hilarious so we ordered one for ourselves. The beach is a short walk from the house and it is wonderful. We saw people riding horses a couple of times which was pretty cool. Our trip was during several storms or we would have gone more often and we could have used the beach towels. The appliances in the kitchen are wonderful and, for once, there were enough plates and glasses for a group. The kitchen is spacious and easy to work in. We went to the Reagan Library (30 minutes) and the Ventura pier and downtown area (10 minutes) which were fun. We wished that the fireplace in the primary bedroom worked but we enjoyed the fireplace upstairs (wish there were fireplace tools). We would recommend this house to large groups.

This home is beautifully laid out. The master bedroom is perfect. The other three bedrooms are small, but comfy. The place was sparkling clean & smelled like it just been scrubbed when we arrived. The kitchen is a dream, however the cooking pots and pans😩

Grandson top 10 summer spot

Spacious, beautiful house. Loved the dinning room table. Our hangout spot. Reunited family, for after 2 years of separation. Pool table was a big hit. Had been many years, since we have played. Brought back good memories.. The beach was a plus. Looking forward to coming back.

Beach stay-cation

Nice house, needs a little love. Has a pool table, good pool cues. Fan in master not working. Outside furniture ok, but half needs refinishing. 3 minutes walk to the beach, nice coast line. Three to four tiles loose in front of downstairs bar sink, covered with a carpet. Well stocked kitchen and clean, but carpets are very stained. Overall, it was fine for the money, but as an owner, I'd attempt to fix the short comings and the home would be amazing.

Just as advertised

We had a great stay at the property. Our family consisted of 10 adults and there was ample room for everyone to gather in both the downstairs great room that has a HUGE sectional, pool table, etc, and also the upstairs kitchen, dining room and additional seating area. Great neighborhood and less than 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. Ample parking, garage space for 1 car and room for 3 cars in the driveway space. We will definitely book again for our annual FAMILY VACATION!!!

Beautiful Ocean Breeze with space to spare!

This home has it all. We walked a couple blocks to the beach, played some pool, cozied up on the biggest couch I have ever seen and jammed out to music in the modern kitchen...All that each and every day at this wonderful home!
