Not the best experience...
The house is really shabby, which you can't tell from the pictures. My family didn't even want to go in when we arrived.
During our stay, some contractors came to stain the decks (which we were sitting on at the time). I asked the property management if these men were supposed to be there while we were occupying the house. They responded that it was the property owners' scheduling error and for the inconvenience, they wanted to offer us a credit for one night stay (at a future date). We thought that was a little insulting considering the experience made our stay very uncomfortable and awkward. And, no, we aren't taking the offer. We will stay somewhere nicer next time.
The property was nice. We enjoyed the waterfront and beautiful view. And the private dock was amazing. But the house itself was uncomfortable and in bad shape.
Also, if you book this property, make sure you check your invoices. The property management charged me several hundred dollars more than what I agreed to pay on vrbo. I contacted vrbo to get information as to why that had happened and they said there must have been an error, I should only have to pay what was agreed upon when booking the reservation online (which makes sense). I contacted the property manager about the discrepancy and they said they don't normally adjust their prices based on vrbo listings but they would do it for me once as a courtesy. WHAT?! We had a contract. You can't just raise the price after the agreement. It was strange.
