Property is within walking distance of the St. Charles historic Main Street. Tons of great places to eat, shop, and just hang out. House was just as pictured. Quiet, safe neighborhood.

Great place and great location

We were in St. Louis for the weekend. This was a perfect place for our family. Great location. Easy to get on the highway and get where we had to go. Will stay here again

Great long weekend stay

This was a great property for our long weekend in the St Louis area. We enjoyed being close to downtown St Charles and within driving distance to all the things we wanted to do in St Louis as well. The house was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Pictures were not accurate

Unfortunately we felt the pictures that we saw when we booked the property didn’t actually depict the home, so we stayed elsewhere. We didn’t feel comfortable staying there.

Updated little home near main

The owners are very quick to respond! The home is cute and updated. The home is a short walk to Main Street, we walked with our 9, 7, and 5 year old, it was so convenient. We will stay here again next time we’re up this way.

Really enjoyed this property

The property was a good size with comfy beds and I appreciate they left a fan by one of the beds as I always need background noise to sleep. No complaints at all. The property manager is quick to respond.

Great house in a quaint location

We loved being so close to the shops and restaurants in St. Charles. House was clean and comfortable, somewhat bare bones, but just what we needed for an overnight stay for our family of eight. We ended up sleeping on the couch bed because we didn’t want our younger kids in a room with an exterior door (both basement and living room sleeping options) but I hear the other beds were great. We had some issues with the laundry not being finished from the previous cleaning which is why I’m only giving it 4 stars, but the owner was quick to respond and apologize. Would recommend if you are looking for a budget friendly option in a cute town.

Comfortable, clean and cozy

Very easy to book and check in. House was clean and smelled great too. Great decor. Plenty of dishes to accommodate cooking meals for the family. Would definitely recommend this location to others!

Worked great

The owner was extremely responsive. This house is old and has personality for sure. It is nicely updated. My kids enjoyed some of the interesting nuances an older home offers. Easy walk to the Katy Trail or old Town St. Charles with the family and our dog. No complaints from us. We live nearby and are getting our home remodeled and needed a break from it so this was a refreshing little get away. I'd really like to reinforce how responsive the owners were...with something like this that goes a long way!

Cute & Cozy Bungalow

It was a nice place to stay for a night, the beds were comfortable and it was a good experience overall. They could improve by offering a more affordable stay for a night. Prices have gone up so much it’s not as cost effective to stay at a VRBO and other rental platforms anymore, we’ll be considering hotels in the future unfortunately. We have loved having a homey feeling when staying at home rentals. The kitchen was also lacking some essentials. Otherwise a cute & cozy bungalow!

Great Getaway!

My husband and I would definitely recommend this house. It was in a great location within walking distance to the Katy Trail and historic downtown. It was safe and well maintained with nice updates. It was really nice that soap, paper products & all basic kitchen supplies were provided. The fenced in yard was a plus for easily letting the dog out. Can’t go wrong staying here!

It was simple and easy, and worked really well for us. My girls loved the giant beanbag chair, and the basement bedroom really is blacked out at night, which was great.

Comfy stay for girls trip!

5 women stayed here with plenty of room for sleeping and hanging out! Downfall is definitely the 1 bathroom-we would choose a house with 2 next time! Other than that, everything was nice and clean easy and close to the hub! We had a great time!!

Just what we needed

We enjoyed our stay at Alex's bungalow and with the exception of a couple of things to clarify with Alex once we got there the check in was easy and we settled right in. That said, communication with Alex was prompt and professional so I'm very happy about that. The location was great for us too, a quiet street close to a walking trail, Frenchtown, etc and in-between St. Louis and O'Fallon where my family lives. There could have been a few more things to make the stay more like home (more cooking things in the kitchen, more room to hang towels in the bathroom, etc.) but I understand that most renters are probably not a family of 7 with small kids so I don't take up too much of an issue about it. We did find some trash in the front yard but again, most people wouldn't have found it had they not curious kids playing in the yard, and the property is close to the street so it could have been from a passer-by. But for these minor things it was a great stay and would have given a 5 start instead of 4.

Nice clean house to enjoy St Charles

Great response from Adam. Welcoming and very nice clean house. The fenced in yard was a bonus. The walking trail is within a block of the house. The dog and I enjoyed that very much while out on some strolls. Restaurants within walking distance. Check out the Lewis and Clark Museum and grab a bite out. Many enjoyable restaurants to choose from.

All we did was spend the night

This location fit our needs just fine. It was clean and comfortable. A little plain, which was fine with us. The stairs going up to the upper bedroom are very steep, so be careful. We didn't eat any meals there, so can't really comment on the kitchen. Thanks, Anne

Not reliable!!!!!!!!!

This was such an inconvenience! I booked with this property my funds immediately were withdrawn from my account and thirty minutes before check in the owner calls to tell me somehow the website double booked and there were people already in the house. I was basically stuck searching for some where to stay the night and having to fund it as my money is still tied up! I don’t understand how this happened and I’m completely disgusted with the level of professionalism!
