Better not and never again
The rental is through Reed, a rental agency. Even if you book directly through VRBO, they require you to confirming your reservation, paying through their website, sending a scan of your passport, signing a rental agreement, picking up the key code in person (!) at their rental office between 3 and 5pm. We had to drive an extra 12 miles, just to get a piece of paper with the key code, which other VRBO hosts send by email. This additional booking process was very time consuming and involved additional phone calls and emails back and forth. In short, VRBO should make it clear that this agency requires you to do the entire booking again.
However, we would not book the house again. Key features that were mentioned in the VRBO ad and were a deciding factor in our booking do not exist, such as WiFi or an ocean view. You probably cannot expect an ocean view for the price, but then you should not put it in the description. We have emailed Reed asking for a response, but the agency has not replied to date.
Had we known this we would not have booked the house. In addition to these serious misrepresentations in the advertisement, the house is in a poor state of repair: It is quite run down and in poor general condition. It was cleaned ok but even the best cleaning team cannot clean rusty furniture or work their magic in the short time they have when a house needs a thorough cleaning and general refurbishment.
We would not recommend staying there.
