Great Escape liegt in einer ruhigen Bucht in Cayman Kai, nur wenige Schritte vom Rum Point Club entfernt.

Diese weitläufige Villa besteht aus einem Haupthaus mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern sowie einem optionalen Schlafzimmer mit 1 Schlafzimmern und 1 Bad. Die Vermietung von Villa und Cottage bietet den Gästen zwei hervorragende Master-Kingsize-Suiten sowie zusätzliche Gästezimmer mit King- und Queen-Betten. Mit einem großen Süßwasserpool am Meer, einem weißen Sandstrand und geräumigen Innenräumen ist Great Escape eine großartige Unterkunft für Ihren Inselurlaub.

Die Meistersuite mit Meerblick im Haupthaus öffnet sich zur abgeschirmten Veranda und verfügt über ein eigenes Bad mit enormer begehbarer Dusche. Die Königs- und Königin-Gästezimmer im Haupthaus teilen sich ein Vollbad, wobei sich das Königschlafzimmer auf die abgeschirmte Veranda und das Königinschlafzimmer auf die Veranda öffnet.

Das Gästehaus ist mit einem Kingsize-Bett und einem Tagesbett (für 2 Kinder) ausgestattet und verfügt über ein komplettes Badezimmer, eine Küchenzeile und eine private Veranda mit vielen bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten. Alle Schlafzimmer sind mit Flachbild-TVs ausgestattet.

Das Interieur des Great Escape ist sauber und modern mit kühlen Fliesenböden und modernem Dekor. Zahlreiche Fenster und Glasschiebetüren öffnen sich zum Pooldeck und füllen das Haus mit natürlichem Licht und einer herrlichen Aussicht. An gelegentlichen faulen Tagen können Sie sich auf der großen, abgeschirmten Veranda am Strand mit bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten entspannen oder eine Partie Ping Pong spielen, ohne die Brise oder den Meerblick zu verlieren.

Eine Gourmet-Küche befindet sich direkt vor der Veranda und ist mit Granit-Arbeitsplatten, einer Island-Frühstücksbar mit Hockern und einer kompletten Auswahl an modernen Geräten ausgestattet. Kochgeschirr, Geschirr, Besteck und Kaffeemaschine werden bereitgestellt.

Mit einem der größten Wohnpools in Cayman Kai ist das Outdoor-Angebot von Great Escape erstklassig. Der Pool verfügt über eine eingebaute Tischplatte mit untergetauchten Sitzgelegenheiten und einem Sonnenschirm für Schatten. Optionale Poolheizung ist für 250 USD pro Woche erhältlich.

Das Pooldeck überblickt die ruhige Bucht und ist mit Liegestühlen, Sonnenschirmen und weichen Sofas ausgestattet. Speisen Sie im Freien unter den Sternen am Pooldeck oder unter der überdachten Cabana am Wasser. Mit einem eigenen Pier können Sie Bootsverleih und Jetskis im Hinterhof anlegen oder ein privates Bootscharter mieten, um diese direkt am Dock abzuholen. Der Besitzer bietet (2) Einzelkajaks und (1) Paddle Board gratis an.

Truly a Great Escape

Our trip to the Great Escape at Rum Point was both amazing and much needed. All of the bedrooms had so much space and kept us cool at night. The whole house stayed cool and gave relief from the daytime heat when needed. The pool has a table with 4 seats that became the center for waterproof card games and great conversation. There are so many great places to disappear to if you choose to take a nap around the pool. The lanai (porch) was fully screened in which was a nice feature to keep the bugs off us when the wind stops at night; although most of the time it was breezy, so no bugs. The surrounding landscaping was very lovely to look at while floating around. There was a sand wash off station that was an underrated amenity. The gas grill worked wonderfully. The kitchen was big with plenty of space to store food and fix breakfast, even with a large crew. The kitchen was also very well stocked with more than enough silverware, dishes, cups and cookware. I would go back in one click with no remorse.

A TRUE GREAT ESCAPE

The property was absolutely amazing!!! Our group couldn't have been more happy with the villa. We had 7 adults in our group. Between the main house and pool house we had more than enough space. The house was incredibly clean when we arrived and well stocked. The outdoor space is a haven. The pictures don't do it justice A few pointers you may want to know. It is not close to 7-mile beach. If you are looking for night life, shopping and a bunch of restaurants to choose from, then be prepared to drive. If you want something quiet and less touristy, this is the place!! There are some restaurants near by, and only one that is within walking distance. Thank you, Great Escape for making our vacation so perfect.

Feels like a private resort

We had a wonderful visit. Great escape was the perfect property. It had absolutely everything we needed. The property is even more stunning in person. More than enough space for multi families. Endless areas indoors and outdoors to relax. A great place for kids. The bioluminescent bay right off the dock, starfish point and sting ray city were favorites. But we were thrilled just to lounge in the huge pool, paddle board and relax in the hammock. The property is far from seven mile beach, but we knew this and prepared by stocking up on groceries. We much preferred the out of town private feel. The only thing to make the experience perfect would be if Rum Point was open - it is currently closed for renovations, which we didn’t realize until after we arrived. We will just have to return when it reopens happens!

Great Escape.

Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. While the pictures looked good the furnishings of this residence need updating. The pool was to cold to use and the deck chairs were in horrible shape. We also had large bugs crawling on the floor and followed then to a hole in the wall behind the TV in the master bedroom. Plugged it with a hand towel. Bedroom tv’s didn’t work at all. Pot and pans were horrible. Just glad to away healthy.

Family holiday

Location and layout of properrty and house is stellar for combined families and children. Rum Pointe was ideal for our family. Our trip to the Island was fabulous. Grand Cayman Villas and Silver Thatch services, professional and friendly staff. Thank you. Issues we experienced with house, inefficient HVAC system in the main house, bedrooms either too cold with second and third bedrooms too hot with noisy ceilinng fans. The small guests house was musty, our son and his families allergies kicked in. Purple bedroom mattress needs to be replaced with firmer mattress.

Your very own resort In paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed the property. Plenty to do to keep our party of 8 satisfied because getting to Seven Mile beach from Rum Point is quite a long trip and driving at night was not easy. If you want peace and quiet this is the place. We had a little trouble getting in touch with the property manager but to his defense there was a wind storm on the island and he was very busy. The pool was very dirty from the storm - we cleaned it ourselves because we were unable to get in touch with Ron and the safe was locked but after it was open it still did not work for us - could have Been operator error. Small issues - great time! We will return to CAY MAN - the island is beautiful!

Wonderful time and amazing property!!!!!!!!

We rented Great Escape for a week and absolutely loved it. We have traveled all over the world and stayed in numerous accommodations. This was by far our favorite. The property was immaculate and accommodated our family of six adults and two children perfectly. Everything about this property was great!!! We spent our days swimming in the pool, fishing off the dock, lounging in the screened in porch, playing games, grilling, and kayaking in the cove. We have stayed on Seven Mile Beach twice before and all agree that staying at Great Escape and near Rum Point was far better. It's a much quieter pace, low key, and very safe with no crowds. We loved walking down the street to Rum Point, grabbing coffee at the Kaibo Expresso Bar, and dancing at the Kaibo Tuesday night Barefoot BBQ. We highly recommend this property and can't wait to go back. One recommendation we would make is to pay the extra and have the pool heated. We are so happy that we had it heated. Thank you again to the owners for sharing this wonderful property and allowing our family to have such an amazing time in Grand Cayman.

Wonderful Vacation

My family of four, two teenagers and two adults stayed at the property and it was perfect. The home was very clean and the perfect layout for hanging out. We really enjoyed the outdoor area around the pool and the screened in porch...very private so we could play music and hang late if we wanted. We used the paddle board and the two kayaks everyday to cruise up and down the inlet. Really nice being so close to Rum Point...yes, just a walk away to see the ocean, grab a bite to eat or relax with a drink. People very friendly and nice. Nothing negative but I will mention that we were there the first week of June (start of rain season) and if the wind was not blowing, the mosquitos were a problem. All the outdoor restaurants came to the table with bug spray just in case. We had lots of ocean air so was only a problem one evening. I would definitely stay at Rum Point versus Seven Mile Beach for the privacy and beauty. Great vacation.

Wonderful Vacation

My family of ten stayed at the Great Escape in July 2014 for one week. We had three adult couples who stayed in the main house and in the cottage four female cousins aged 20, 16, 16 and 7. This house was perfect for us and we all loved it!! I cannot say enough about this house, the island, and Rum Point Beach! We used the paddle board and kayaks every day and just loved the pool area. We barbecued a few times and had whatever we needed in the kitchen. The store is about a 20 minute drive. Be advised that everything is closed on Sundays. We were met upon arrival by a nice woman who showed us around the house and gave us information we needed for the week. The beds were comfortable, the house was very clean, the grounds were beautiful. It was a perfect vacation and we cannot wait to come back to this wonderful house. My family plans on visiting again soon!! You will be very happy you rented this house in the quiet, beautiful area of Cayman Kai.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!

Our family of four had the most wonderful week at Great Escape. The house was perfect in every way. With its open floor plan and large bedrooms, we were very comfortable. The amenities are fantastic from the well stocked kitchen to the immense amount of beach and bath towels. Our 8 and 5 year olds loved swimming in the large L-shaped pool multiple times a day. The outdoor dining table next to the water was our favorite spot for dinner. This side of the island is much quieter than the Seven Mile Island, which we loved. We walked to Rum Point almost every day to go to the beach, grab lunch or rent jet skis. I would recommend stocking up on groceries at the larger grocery store near the airport so that you can just relax. You will never want to leave.

Amazing!

We just returned from a week at this beautiful property. I cannot say enough about the villa. It was gorgeous and the pictures don't do it justice. We had a group of 6 adults and 2 kids under the age of 5. The kids LOVED the huge pool - it provided a really nice alternative to the beach. The lagoon side was gorgeous as well with plenty of sand to play in and shady spots to just sit and relax- it is just steps to the beach too. The property is just lovely with plenty of places to sit outside and inside for dining with a group. We were steps from Rum Point beach and that was really nice as well when we wanted to be in a less secluded environment. We would highly recommend this property if you are thinking of staying on this side of the island. We really felt that we had the best location in relation to getting to the beaches and the restaurants. The property itself is just gorgeous and was way beyond our expectations. Plenty of room for everyone - the bedrooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is large and was great for a group as well. We cannot wait to come back again!

Feb 4-11, 2012 Vacation

This home is located a few hundred feet down the road from Rum Point, so the main beach is within <5 minute walk from house. The street in front is a very quiet road, as is the bay behind the house. One can walk a considerable distance out into bay across the road from front of house and still be only waste deep in the water. A very tranquil location. The house is more appropriately a Villa, with very large rooms, fantastic front and back porch and the bedrooms very comfortable. Everything in the house works. It was a perfect fit with room left over for 6 adults and 2 small children. Pool is great for children as it is mostly in the 3' depth range. It is located several miles from other amenities, like stores and gas, but one goes to Rum Point to get away, not be in the middle of the crowds and action over at 7 Mile. A very clean home, with just about every appliance and kitchen item on hand, plenty of towels for bath and beach were provided. Only a few items in need of repair, if one wishes to be really picky.... None of this distracted from the stay in the least, but being a handyman I notice things.... Patio door is sticky, which the extra pull required to move door has worn out the handle, hard for 4-5 year olds to pull open. Screen to right of outside patio door is torn from frame, so insects could get in, but didn't notice many anyway. Some door hinges have nails for pins so door is off center a tad for closing easily (main bath in center of house). Microwave door hits framing, it should be lifted just a bit. It can be confusing trying to find all the light switches for all the outside lighting - when wishes to really be picky when setting mood lighting. Like I said this is really picky stuff. The house is great, the location is great, couldn't ask for more. Oh, and be ready for constant bird singing. The most difficult decision is where to set to relax and enjoy the views.
