Our stay

We loved the house and the property and were very comfortable! Our only critique would be that the laundry room was not swept and there were some big cobwebs in the 1/2 bath and a couple of the light fixtures. There were also some bugs that got in through the master windows when they were opened even though we saw no holes. Just wanted to make you all aware of that.

Amazing property & host

There was something for all ages at this great retreat tucked away in Washougal. We stayed here during thanksgiving week, and had a blast. The view from the backyard is gorgeous and we enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub thoroughly. The kitchen was well stocked, the house was very clean and had all the amenities our group needed. The host was very helpful and responsive. 10/10!

Peaceful getaway

We had a great time staying at this VRBO! The owner John was very helpful! The only complaint we have is that the property had a few maintenance items that could have been fixed up easily to make the stay more pleasant. Additionally, we noted a few areas that could have been a bit more clean. Overall though the area was beautiful and we had a very peaceful weekend.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL

What an amazing way to spend a vacation! The view is stunning, the house is gorgeous, the games were fun, the basket ball tournaments were a blast, the jacuzzi tub was insanely comfortable.......& family time was had by all. I can not wait to come back!The gorgeous painted horse that the neighbors have was also a gorgeous sight! & waking up to the sound of the rooster just made every morning worth having the windows open!

Wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home on beautiful land. The views were extraordinary. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The home had plenty of beds, well appointed kitchen, and even a dog run! Truly a fun place to gather as a family.

Lovely home and property

We rented this home and property to allow for a long awaited multi-generational gathering. The home had space inside and out for our family and extended family. The property had gorgeous views and many activities available onsite. The host was conscientious and thorough and was quick to answer our questions and meet our needs. We highly recommend this property!

New year friends gathering

Great location, really nice house layout for groups, beautiful setting. Lots to do nearby. Fun game room for kids and adults alike. Cleanliness needed to be improved - it was dusty on the shelves, under coffee and side tables, and the TV room still had Xmas tree remnants. There were also lots of unfinished patches on the walls and missing baseboards in places.

Family Reunion

We had the best time at a rare family reunion. It takes a lot of coordination to get all 10+ of us together and the host made the accommodations part so easy! The location is so peaceful while also not being impossibly far from stores and Portland itself. The hot tub was magical in the winter and we had plenty of room for the kiddos to run around. A fantastic Christmas!

Terrible customer service

I want to preface that I did not stay at this home due to the terrible customer service. My family and I plan a yearly trip somewhere new every year. This year was supposed to be Oregon and we booked the house 2 months in advance. About three weeks before our stay we had a family emergency and half our group wouldn’t be able to make it. I contacted the house management and asked if we could just move the dates of our stay. They said yes and then didn’t contact me back. I messaged them repeatedly with no answer until I called Vrbo and got in contact with a customer service agent. Long story short I was in a three way call with the property management and Vrbo employee for hours! They tried to tell me that moving my dates would result in a 900 seasonal fee since apparently the dates I selected were the last days before they up their prices for the season.I then asked for a refund for the house and the property management declined and claimed I no longer fell under their cancellation policy. I asked what they were willing to do which then ended in the property management hanging up and not picking up when the Vrbo employee called them back. I was left with the option of loosing all the money I put in for the house or paying an additional 900 to move my dates to the following month. I normally don’t leave bad reviews because I don’t believe the customer is always right but I do believe there was something the property management could have done but refused.

I was expecting a little better from what the listing said.

When we got there things seemed to be ok, after a long day of driving some family wanted to use the hot tub and it was filthy, brown, cloudy and just nasty, we called and our contact said said they would send someone right out, they showed up the next afternoon. The BBQ was filthy and the lid to the garbage located next to island kitchen had moldy food on it, was nasty. We were not told that the motocross competition was that weekend and much to our surprise we were directly under the helicopter flight path and next to landing pad, luckily we were not there the whole day. We were harassed trying to get in and out on the road I called out contact to see if we could get some sort of pass and never got a call back. The ladt day we were loading up and the garage door spring broke, we were only given one dish washer soap pod so could not start dishwasher when we left and not enough recycle cans. I called to advise contact if all that and never heard anything back. Communication was pretty much non existent. Will probably not rent again.

Wonderful Family Reunion

We had the best family reunion in this home! It fit our 10+ member family just right and had a huge property to explore. We loved taking the kids to the stream and treehouse and afterwards, taking a dip in the hot tub ourselves in the cold winter. It is a serene place with mountain views and nature galore. Plenty of parking for multi-car families and plenty of amenities. Our hosts were just the greatest and so easy to communicate with too! Overall an unforgettable Christmas family reunion.

Large property, very comfortable main bed. Lots of stuff for teens to do, ping pong, hot tub, tree house. We saw deer when we were using fire pit and making s'mores. Beautiful location.

We’ll be back!

Nothing Short of Amazing

Let me start by saying the location of this home is top notch. It is a little out of the way but it is worth it. When we on our way, we received word that a miscommunication took place with house cleaners and the home wouldn't be ready for us. John was prompt in figuring it out and actually the home was cleaned for our arrival. During our stay, if we had any questions John was attentive and worked to make sure our stay was what was expected. Hot tub was amazing and spent a lot of time in there. I am looking forward to coming back and spending more time in this home.

Great spot for a group

Our book club came from portland for a getaway. We spent most of our time cooking and eating and the place was perfect for that. Very well-equipped kitchen and lovely deck.
