Aktuelle Features wie neue Fliesenböden, 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder Haus mit einem kurzen Spaziergang zu einem nicht überfüllten Strand. Es gibt nur 6 Häuser auf dieser kleinen Straße und nur 2 sind Vermietungen. Die restlichen Häuser sind nicht zu vermieten und werden nur selten genutzt, so dass Sie die meiste Zeit über einen großen Teil des Strandes für sich haben. Dieses Haus wurde 2016 komplett renoviert und wir haben erst kürzlich die Wannen und Duschen in den Badezimmern erneuert. Das Haus verfügt über alle Geräte, einschließlich eines Kühlschranks mit Edelstahltür und einer freistehenden Eismaschine (Sie müssen kein Eis kaufen). Es gibt einen separaten Waschraum mit einer großen Waschmaschine und einem Trockner. Das große Familienzimmer bietet viele Sitzgelegenheiten mit einem 55-Zoll-Smart-TV und einem DVD-Player sowie Highspeed-Internet. Esstisch für 8 Personen plus Bar mit 4 Sitzplätzen. Screened Veranda hat einen Tisch für 4 Personen. Es gibt auch eine Terrasse mit Blick auf den Strand.
Das Hauptschlafzimmer ist groß mit Kingsize-Bett und Premium-Matratze. Es gibt viel Stauraum und Schubladen für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Das Master-Bad hat einen Doppelwaschtisch mit Dusche. Schlafzimmer 2 verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett mit Premium-Matratze und Etagenbett. Es gibt auch viel Stauraum und Schubladen. Schlafzimmer 3 verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett mit Premium-Matratze und ein Etagenbett sowie viel Stauraum und Schubladen. Alle Schlafzimmer haben Smart-TV. Zweites Bad hat eine Badewanne / Dusche.
Für unsere Gäste gibt es einen Grill, Liegestühle, viele Strandspielzeuge und einen Karren zum Strand.

Wir sind in der Nähe der Fähre und zu Fuß zum Yachthafen und Tacky Jacks Restaurant. Es gibt zwei Restaurants / Märkte im Umkreis von acht Kilometern.

Annual vacation

The pictures were on point and the stand along ice machine was good since we all carried water bottles everyday. Being able to enjoy the sound of the wave every morning on the porch was great. The short walk to the beach with the supplied cart and chairs was a plus. Everyone enjoyed their stay.

Could be better

The house wasn’t perfectly clean when we got there- a spill on the counter, fingerprints on the glass tables, and sand on the bunk beds and kitchen table. The house is older, so it isn’t as new as the pictures would lead you to think, but it is nicely decorated. We could tell the owners of the property don’t stay there, due to simple inconveniences that should be addressed. The TV was very finicky and it took us 30 minutes just to get it on. Apparently the last renters had unplugged some things, probably trying to get it to work. There was only one dish towel and one dish rag in the whole kitchen. The hose on the porch, for rinsing sand, was busted. Some kitchen cooking items were dirty, the dishwasher smelled awful (we handwashed all items), and we also had some ants. Some pros were the screened in porch, a Keurig that wasn’t listed in the description, a variety of beach items to use, and clean bathrooms.

You’d think that it would feel crowded on a holiday weekend - but the Rustic Retreat delivered quiet relaxation! We especially loved the awesome bed swing on the lower porch.

Great view.

This was a very nice property with a beautiful view! We loved the screened porch. The furniture was all comfortable and clean in the living area and on the porch. The bed in the main bedroom was also very comfortable. The kitchen was large and stocked well with an added bonus of a stand alone ice maker. There is a great swing under the house to enjoy the cool breeze. A very nice uncrowded beach is just a walk down the road and over a sand dune. It was nice to go down to the beach early in the morning and then again late evening. Guests have access to beach items stored at the property. The wagon to haul your stuff down to the beach was another added bonus. Good communication with the owners. All questions were answered promptly. Don't hesitate to book this property.

Loved our stay

Location was ideal for us - away from the crowds but plenty of nearby activities. Short walk to the beach. Peaceful. Loved the porch to relax with a cup of coffee have or a glass of wine. Fully stocked with everything we needed. Comfy beds. Communication with hosts was easy with quick responses.

We absolutely love the place. Love the rustic atmosphere. Very short walk to the beach. Not many people on the beach so a lot of privacy. The place is very equipped to stay here for a week. We definitely will be back our new home at the beach!

Enjoyed the stay!

The home is perfectly placed, just a short way to the beach. The home is adorable & comfortable. The ice machine was a lifesaver. The only issue we encountered was certain areas needed cleaning before they could be used. This is more likely the cleaning company used by the owner & not the owner themselves. We also experienced bugs in the kitchen that we had to get spray for. Overall our stay was nice and we would consider staying here again.

Great place!

We really enjoyed the front porch here in the mornings. We loved the open concept. Having an ice machine was awesome. Plus, it was a short walk to the beach. We used the outdoor shower as well- would love to see that closed in the next time we come! We will be back!

Good Family Spot

This property looks a little run down on the outside, but is clean and spacious on the inside. The owners were easy to reach when we had a question and provided anything we needed for our stay....cookware, dishes, beach toys, etc. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if we ever come back to the area.

Easy stay!

This was a great place & a very easy place to stay. The checkin process was super simple, Linda was extremely communicative with us, and when we had an issue with the AC while we were there, they sent someone out quickly to fix the problem. Would absolutely stay here again. Very convenient access to the beach.

Beautiful beach house, loved our stay

Lovely beach house. The photos do not do it justice! Very tastefully decorated and well stocked with everything we needed. Very clean. Much appreciated the use of the beach equipment in the under house store and beach towels. Lovely beach with white sand. Very quiet in April. Ferry to Dauphin Island only 5 minutes away. We did day trips to Pensacola and New Orleans as well as time chilling on the beach. and the porch. Great restaurants in Gulf Shores. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to come back for longer next time! Thank you Linda and Mike for hosting us!

Loved it!

My 2 grandsons loved the "Cowboy House" for its rustic exterior. We also loved it for its beautiful interior and many amenities. The location is great especially if you are not into the tourist scene. We had a great time and highly recommend this house.

So good!

We had the best time! The house was perfect. Very clean. It was stocked with kitchen essentials which was appreciated because we cooked many meals. The proximity to the beach was great. The best part is the beach toys provided. We did not need to purchase anything. Boogie boards, sand toys, nets, chairs, even a kite! And a wagon to haul it all to the beach. The owners were generous and answered any questions we had promptly. We would recommend this property to anyone. 5 stars!

We purchased this home spring of 2016. We have loved traveling to this area for approximately 17 years. We love the uncrowded beach setting as well as watching sunsets and love watching stars at night just as they come out. We enjoy the great food, playing tennis on some great clay courts. We have spent vacations with our children and grandchildren at Ft. Morgan the last four summers . We all love watching the dolphins from the beach, fishing from both the beach and boat. It's just a great area for family vacationing. Kids loved the beach, collecting shells, sightseeing and shopping. We all love the great seafood.

We like the fact that the beach in this area is more secluded, and not wall to wall people like so many areas. It is a great place for families

This is an older home with large rooms. It has a very open feel. So many of the houses that are available to rent have very small rooms and no storage. There is a closet in each bedroom, plenty of seating and a nice screened in porch where you can sit at night and listen to the waves. If you like, we've furnished an air bed to sleep on the screened porch. We have a griddle, crock pots and there is an electric patio heater if you come in the cooler months.
