Charming and quiet house located in a Manor House XVIII is one of the three houses located on a traditional Quinta in the Minho region of Portugal. The Quinta dates back to the 18th Century and underwent a full restoration in the 1990s. It stands proudly on nine hectares of land and offers visitors a relaxing environment with its close proximity to fields, hills, trees and animals.
The Quinta is made up of granite stone, typical of the region, which is present both inside and outside the house, but can especially be seen at the small chapel, the large gate and in the pools and fountains.
The Quinta enjoys a great location, being situated in a small, quiet village but close enough to two main cities – Braga and Vila Nova de Famalicao – to satisfy holiday-makers’ needs. The Quinta is close to many amenities( 1km away is a market, bread shop, petrol station and two restaurants).The house has 3 bedrooms, ideal for 4 adults and 4 childreen/teenagers.
A car is highly recommended to explore the region. The Quinta enjoys a fantastic location, being close to the main tourist attractions in the North of Portugal, such as Guimaraes (where Portugal was founded) and Ponte de Lima (Portugal’s oldest town), both of which are only 35km away. Viana do Castelo is just 45km and great beaches such as Vila do Conde, Póvoa de Varzim and Esposende are all within 30 km. The Peneda-Geres National Park is within 45km and the North of Spain is 80km away.
