Das Haus verfügt über besondere Details, die es zu einem einzigartigen Ort zum Entspannen mit der Familie und Freunden machen. Ein großer offener Raum auf der Hauptebene ist ein idealer Ort, um sich mit der Familie zu unterhalten und Zeit beim Kochen zu verbringen. Es liegt günstig zu den beliebtesten Restaurants, Bauernhöfen, dem Blaubeerfeld und Brauereien der Region. Die schwedische Bäckerei / Luisa'a Cafe ist 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Es gibt ein Minimum von 5 Nächten vom 1. Juni bis zum 31. August. Für Familien oder Gruppen von 6 oder weniger Gästen (dieselben 6 Gäste für die Dauer der Reise) kann eine Ermäßigung von 10% gewährt werden.

The owner was immediately responsive when I had a question. The property is close to the beach and has the all the things needed for beach fun. The beds and pillows so comfortable like a fine hotel. The bedrooms are on different levels providing a good amount of privacy.

A great place to relax

Describing this as a house in the woods is so completely accurate! Even though there are other homes nearby, this has the feel of solitude with quiet and nature all around. There are a fair amount of deer in the woods. The first night two very young deer came nearly to the edge of the screened in porch, looked at us, and slowly walked off with their mother. The home itself is beautifully appointed and has so many kitchen supplies—appliances, dishes, glasses and even spices. It was easy to prepare meals in. There are plenty of kids, toys, mountains of books of all kinds, and lots of board games and puzzles to help keep evenings interesting. We did find the walk to the beach a little strenuous for older family members. Less the distance of the walk than the number of stairs. But there are several other choices nearby and those that did partake of the beach truly enjoyed it. The beach is quiet and clean, and the sand is very fine. All of the rooms are large and roomy. You have the feeling of being able to spread out and everyone feels comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Serene Location & Wonderful Accommodations

Because this house is nestled in the woods, it provides a serene experience with only another home next door on one side and a forest on the other side. The walk to the private beach is about 10 minutes. Very doable and the home owner provides a wagon to help with transporting your belongings down the road to the stairway that leads to the beach. The owner, Hannah, quickly replied to all of my correspondences with helpful details. Her home is welcoming, very clean, and fully equipped with all the necessary accommodations you will need for a lovely stay. I have rented many homes in the nearby areas over the years, and this one is going on my return list. Great home and attentive owner. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful house

The house was modern and very spacious with great appliances (especially the stove) and with all the amenities that we could have asked for. The beach was a short walk away and very nice, we practically had the beach to ourselves. The only con was that we found out on the second to last day that there was a mat available, my grandkids would have enjoyed using it at the beach. Overall it was a very positive experience.

Harbert Cottage in the woods

We enjoyed waking up to sunlight steaming through the trees outside our bedroom window. The beach access was good about a 10 minute walk through the woods. The house had plenty of room to spread out and it was clean. Hannah was a great host.

Beautiful place in the woods!

We stayed at Hannah’s place with family and extended family, 11 people altogether. There was plenty of room for everyone, enough bathrooms, and lots of towels - much appreciated! The house came with everything we needed for a wonderful relaxing beach vacation, including beach chairs, umbrellas, games and activities for rainy days. The location is perfect and the beach is close enough to back and forth several times during the day to go back to the house for lunch, etc. The kitchen was well equipped, including two outdoor grills, and we enjoyed some great family dinners there. Lots to do in the neighborhood as well. The Swedish Bakery was our favorite! Thank you for all the suggestions and for your hospitality, Hannah. We would love to come back for another vacation in the future.

Great Family Gathering Spot

We loved the "in the woods" feel with access to a beach! The house accommodated our family wonderfully. The big screened in porch was so peaceful! Our grand children are still telling their parents they want to go back to the beach house.

Girl’s Weekend

This is our second year staying at this property for our fall girls weekend and we love it. There are 13 of us and we all fit comfortably. The house is equipped with everything we needed and is in a beautiful location. Close to the beach, heavily wooded, and close restaurants and wineries. Golf Weekend with the Guys

Stayed here with three other buddies to get in a golf weekend. The house was well located for this and was comfortable of the evening times we stayed in. Can't really comment on the beach as we never got that far. Much better place to stay than an area hotel for its comfort and convenience.

Private Beach!

This place will not disappoint! It is a beautiful home with all the conveniences, clean, comfortable and VERY spacious! It is located on a private lane in the woods. Hannah provides all you need for your stay. Our party of 9 grilled out, we ate at a few of the recommended spots, ordered pizza, visited the Roadhouse for the Walleye! We used the screened porch for morning coffee and playing games in the evenings. It was a ten minute walk to the private beach that we had all to ourselves most days. The trail was a good heart rate builder and could be a challenge for some. We made use of the provided beach chairs, umbrellas and the water mat was a blast! We saw a bald eagle one day, had many visits from the same group of 5 deer(two does, two fawns and a buck. We also were visited each evening by a pair of barred owls who seemed to be picking off moths and cicadas. It was a treat to see! We hope to visit again! Thank you Hannah!

Fantastic Wooded Retreat Walking Distance to the Beach

Hannah's place was better than the photos. The house is tucked into a wooded setting and is so close to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds and pillows and linens are lovely. The living room and dining room are a great size for a group. I cooked a beef stew on a chilly, fall night. Everything I needed in the kitchen was on hand. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Michigan vacation!!

This was our second visit to Hannah's. 5 nights last August and 5 nights this August. She is a great hostess and her place is perfect for our large family ( 8 adults and 7 grandkids, ages 7,6,5,4,4,3,2). Would highly recommend for small groups or large.

I am from Chicago and grew up spending summers in Michigan with my family. From the beach to blueberry picking to the fun restaurants and farms, it's a fabulous place to spend time together.
