This is a spectacular cabin that had no problem accommodating for my large party of nine. The cabin is very spacious, is exceptionally well provisioned, has a ton of charm, and is in an excellent location for winter activities such as skiing at Crystal or snow shoeing. The hottub is a wonderful and relaxing amenity, though it was a bit murky when we arrived (the owner does provide treatment chemicals and instructions which we followed). The cabin is an easy 1.5-2 hr drive from Seattle, and the roads are very well maintained. The owner/property manager is very responsive, often responding to questions within hours. And while I couldn't be more pleased with the what the cabin offered, my party's experience was dampened quite a bit when the gas tank supplying the cabin ran out on day 3 of our 4 day stay. The stovetop and the cabin's central heating system are gas based, so we were unable to use the gas cooking range or the gas heater for our last day or night. While there is a microwave and slow cooker in the cabin, using alternative options to feed a group of 9 when we had pre-planned/purchased our meals with a stovetop in mind is extremely inconvenient. The owner/property manager was very responsive and prompt via text when I informed her that the gas had gone out, but she was out of the country during my stay and was unable to arrange for the gas tank to be refilled during my stay (she did offer to have some space heaters delivered which was very kind). While I understand that it can be difficult to determine when gas tanks are near depletion and they are often on a pre-set schedule for refilling, I also feel that running out of gas is something that should never happen to a group paying to rent a winter cabin. If nothing else, I was hoping that my group would be offered a small discount off our stay for our inconvenience, but we weren't. Ultimately I would recommend this cabin to others in the future because everything else about it is so fantastic, but I would advise others to inquire about the gas level prior to their stay. If it happened to us, it's likely that it's happened to others, and could happen to you.
