A Great Stay Makes For A Great Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Myself, my wife, and both of my kids had a great stay at the Escape to Paradise house. The house was clean, it was in a great location, and all of the furniture was comfortable (including the beds). The views from the deck are great because there are no houses across the street that obstruct seeing the ocean, and the crows nest view is awesome, totally unobstructed. Over the years we have stayed at a bunch of different rentals, including houses, cabins, and hotels. No of those places can compare to the comfort and at home feel that we had while staying at Escape to Paradise. We will be back to stay again in the future.

Great place to stay.

Layout of house was nice. Washer and dryer would be nicer if upstairs. Dishwasher was really loud. Front and backyard not usable. Housr was very homey feeling. Views from deck and crows nest had incredible views. Already booked for next year.

Wonderful Location

Everything was perfect - the place was clean. There was starter kit of items to get you started (dish soap/bags/etc.) It may be across from the beach but it felt beachside as very little obstructing the view. And the beach entry was steps away. Definitely a great find! I highly recommend.

Had a wonderful time at this house across the street from the beach in Kitty Hawk. The house was clean and in great shape. Dog friendliness was a huge plus. We'd definitely stay again!

The outside needs a really good clean up. Junk everywhere. And I don't think your cleaners ever scrub the floors. Our socks were black after walking on them. Never disappointed

Our 2nd year here. I love the spot, the beaches are pretty much private. Perfect location and accommodations. Love the cottage, the eagles nest, the deck. Lots of room. Only thing I can say negatively is it needs a good spring cleaning and outside toy area needs to be cleaned up. But nothing to discourag our 3rd year. Thank you for a cute getaway.

Escape to Paradise

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was the best part of this house - only a few steps to the beach access. The house is small but very functional. I wish the kitchen was stock with a wider variety of pots and pans and it seemed that the water for the showers only stayed hot for about five minutes. It is also very dark where you go up the steps to the house, so dark in fact that I feel down several of the stairs and broke my fibula. I would suggest the owner add some brighter lighting to the underneath of the house. The house did have some leaking from a heavy rain and I called Beach Realty and they had someone come right out. Very professional. I would use this realty again, they have been so nice from the initial booking all the way through the week.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Killed 2 cockroaches in the living room within the first few hours of out stay and found another a few days later. Ants showed up later in our stay. The first thing we noticed when we got to the home was the smell-dog pee-inside the home. We bought air fresheners and they certainly helped but the smell never went away. Was disappointed that the greenery around the home was not cut back so it was difficult for our dogs to do their business, but unsure if that is a regulation for erosion.On the flip side, the house location was perfect. Great view, great proximity to the beach - did not disappoint. The size of the house was perfect for our family. Great decks including gates, furniture, and kitchen utensils.The reason I would not recommend this house or stay in it again is mostly the insect issue but also the smell (dog pee). If both of these issues were resolved I would stay here again due to the size of the house, great decks, and location.
