Brookside Cottage hat alles! Das Brookside ist ein gemütliches, komplett renoviertes, offenes Gästehaus mit herrlicher Aussicht und eignet sich ideal für einen Kurzurlaub auf dem Land oder für einen Skiurlaubsort. Es liegt in den Hügeln des Headwaters und in der Nähe mehrerer Naturschutzgebiete, einschließlich der Boyne und Mono Cliffs. Wandern, Skifahren, Golfen, Schneeschuhwandern und Radfahren sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir bieten 32 Hektar Waldwege und Felder zum Wandern oder Schneeschuhwandern. Die Gegend bietet eine Reihe von guten Restaurants, Boutiquen, Märkten, Museen und lokalen Handwerkern. Wir sind 15 Minuten vom Mansfield Ski Club und Hockley Resort und 45 Minuten vom Blue Mountain und Wasaga Beach entfernt. Ideal für Paare, Soloabenteurer oder eine kleine Familie. Wir sind hundefreundlich und begrüßen gut erzogene, sozialisierte Hunde.

Im Inneren ergänzen rustikale Holzakzente die modernen Annehmlichkeiten. Die Fußbodenheizung im Duschbereich hält Sie im Winter warm und die neue, voll ausgestattete Küche ist offen zum Wohnraum, Kamin und Entertainment-Bereich. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich ein kleines Loft und ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett. (Zusatzbett kann für Kinder und zusätzliche Gäste zur Verfügung gestellt werden) Von jedem Fenster haben Sie einen Blick auf die Mulmur Hills.

Lovely weekend spot

Lovely pace for a weekend away to unwind and have some quality time! The horses enjoyed some apples and we had fun with walks on the property and playing games from the chest of well stocked board games

Rural paradise

Quiet Country Relaxation

Nice hidden getaway

The cottage is a cozy place with almost everything provided, and we even hade a chance to feed the horses. Highly recommended for family with young kids.

Relaxing Getaway

Had a wonderful time at the cabin for a few days. Enjoyed the beautiful hiking trails in the area that the host (Taria) suggested. Cabin had everything you needed to make it feel like a home away from home. Loved sampling some of their homemade maple syrup from the farm. Definitely recommend!!

Another Great Stay

This was our third stay at Brookside, as always sparkling clean cottage with all the amenities you could ask for. The dogs loved running around the property and sitting beside the horses as we gave them some carrots. This is a must place to visit if you just want to get away for a few days. We'll be back in the spring.

Lovely spot

Quiet, clean, pleasant. Owners are amazing, extremely thoughtful and organized. Tons of amenities that help make your experience a comfortable one. The grounds are excellent for taking a nice stroll (bring apples for the horses!).

Great getaway during a pandemic or anytime!

This was a perfect spot for some quiet time in the country. The cottage is perfect for a couple, and we had our baby with us which worked fine. The property and host were lovely. We especially liked the map of the large farm property which showed hiking trails.

Wonderful, Peaceful Country Oasis

We had a fantastic stay as part of our "baby-moon" before the arrival of our little one. The cottage was clean and outfitted with everything you'd need - nothing was overlooked! We loved walking the trails with our dog and were fortunate enough to have Taria and her pup Ava join for us for a good runaround. Thank you Taria, we had a wonderful time!

Well kitted out cottage and friendly host

We stayed at Taria’s cottage with our two kids and had a wonderful time. The cottage is very well stocked with everything you need for a country getaway. Loads of board games, blankets to snuggle under by the fire, slippers, hot cocoa, etc. It’s a charming cottage on a beautiful property. My kids also enjoyed meeting the horses.

Dietrich and Taria van Weesenbeek have been living in the local area for over 20 years.
We love the peace and quiet of our home, our dogs and horses and spending time riding, playing tennis and skiing.

As your hosts, you'll find us respectful of your privacy, but available anytime you need assistance. Dietrich speaks English and Dutch. Taria speaks English and Finnish.

We looked for a number of years before we found the property we knew we'd never want to leave. It was an opportunity to bring our love of horses home with us. This area is special to us as it brings us closer to nature, provides us with the privacy and calm that we wanted yet close to every day amenities.

We fell in love with the expansive views and the ever changing scenery. We often sit out, or from our window watching weather coming in, or the daily changes we see as the seasons change. We're a stones throw from fabulous hiking in Dufferin Hi-lands and Beaver Valley.
