La Fortezza ist eine Villa, umgeben von viel Grün und in der absoluten Ruhe ihres privaten Parks, zwischen alten Olivenbäumen, Eichenwald und Obstgarten.
Es liegt auf einem Hügel, nur 6 km vom kristallklaren Meer von Polignano a Mare (BLUE FLAG SEIT 2008 und 5 VELE LEGAMBIENTE) mit seinen wunderbaren Meereshöhlen entfernt, die bei Bootsfahrten entdeckt werden können. Die Villa besteht ausschließlich aus Stein, Holz und Glas auf zwei Ebenen und zeichnet sich durch einen Hektar Park, eine große Panoramaterrasse mit Meerblick und ein Solarium aus. Der Holzofen und der Grill stehen Ihnen zur Verfügung, um Pizzen, Focaccias und Außengrills zuzubereiten und zu genießen.
Die Panoramaterrasse, von der aus Sie einen herrlichen Blick auf die Weiten von Olivenbäumen, weißen Bauernhöfen, Himmel und Meer genießen können, ist etwa 40 Quadratmeter groß und mit einem großen Esstisch im Schatten von drei Steineichen ausgestattet, die aus dem Garten darunter "auftauchen" : Der Holzboden wurde unter Berücksichtigung der Anwesenheit von Bäumen durch die Schaffung von Schlitzen in Übereinstimmung mit den Stämmen gebaut. Im Park von La Fortezza finden Sie Blumen und Parfums und viele Ecken des Paradieses: Felsensitze, auf denen Sie sitzen und ein Buch lesen oder Musik hören können, Holzbetten zum Sonnenbaden und Genießen der Sonnenuntergangsbrise. Saisonale Früchte können direkt von den Bäumen geerntet werden, um ihren fantastischen Geschmack zu genießen. Im Obstgarten zwei Reihen Lavendel, um Ihre Schränke in der Stadt zu parfümieren! Der Park ist komplett mit einem elektrischen Tor, einer Alarmanlage und einem privaten Sicherheitsdienst eingezäunt.

Den Park, die Waschküche, den Holzofen und den Grill sowie den offenen Raum mit Trainingsgeräten können Sie kostenlos nutzen.

Das Haus liegt auf einem Hügel am Ende einer Privatstraße in der Stille der Natur, die es umgibt. Der Hausbesitzer wohnt gelegentlich in einem Nebengebäude in der Nähe des Obstgartens.

Exceptional Residence

The residence is really nice and very well equipped. Peaceful yet very close to Polignano a mare. The property manager was very welcoming. We arranged to have their chef cook a dinner at the residence. The price was very reasonable and the food was excellent.

My family had the best stay here. We stayed for 4 days and Francesca made us feel so welcomed and was very accommodating. She made it such a memorable experience for us! La Fortezza - Absolutely the best

Can't say enough great things about our stay here at La Fortezza. The house and surrounding property was absolutely gorgeous, spacious, clean and made for many memorable evenings on the patio after our day trips throughout Puglia. Francesca and Claudia are the best. You will fall in love with them as soon as you meet. Would highly recommend having Chantal make dinner for your group. It was delicious and so much fun. Thank you again Francesca - wish we could have stayed longer.

Francesca was a wonderful host always on hand for anything you need and also with some fantastic restaurant and activity suggestions. Her home is even better than the online pictures suggest with the front treehouse terrace a particular highlight! The plunge pool was also a huge hit on a hot day. The house was well equipped and has lots of personal touches that added to the experience. Location is fantastic- 10 minutes drive from Pogliano a mar but also a few local spots within walking distance! We would go back in a heartbeat!

Staying in the Basile family home was the absolute best part of our trip in Puglia. And Francesca is the absolute best host we have ever had! An unforgettable holiday

We had an amazing time at Francesca’s property. Everything went above our expectations, both in terms of the comforts offered and the sheer charm of the decor, the stunning views and the blissful feeling of being in wonderful surroundings. The terrace became our front room and we spent many happy hours in the dappled shade of the trees. We were five adults and all agreed that would be happily book again and again. La Fortezza is a perfect holiday home

This year we spent two weeks in Puglia, and got to know the surrounding country side and the delightful small cities near by. Francescas Fortezza was as near a perfect holiday home as can be: a large garden with various fruit trees and conifers in a colourful mix. One pond for the people and the other for the turtles. The house itself was a mixture of old and new: we liked the appreciation that was given to the work of past generations as well as Francescas own efforts to preserve the old in harmony with new additions. Thus the house was equipped with all the household items you could wish for, but also with solar panels and rechargeable batteries as a sign of a environmentally conscious host. We have been travelling all ovet Italy for over ten years and Francescas home and her positive and active attitude towards her quest has been the most impressive of all.

Most memorable stay in beautiful La Fortezza

We loved our stay at La Fortezza. It is a sprawling property with stone exteriors in the outskirts of Polignano a Mare, with a lovely garden and outdoor jacuzzi pond. Francesca is a charming and gracious host, she had left the house very well stocked including the kitchen. She also shared many recommendations for meals and sightseeing which were appreciated. The house was spacious and comfortable for us with 3 bedrooms (one of them is compact with a single bed space but suited our daughter). If you have car, it is a great location to explore the environs. We wish we had more time on our vacation, so we could spend time enjoying Francesca’s home more. We will need to come back to appreciate Puglia and La Fortezza fully!

A gorgeous and comfortable house as your homebase while traveling in Puglia.

We have rented many vacation homes over the years, both in the USA and in Italy, and La Fortezza is by far the best ever. The house is huge and would be perfect for a large family gathering, although we were just a family of 3. The 2 story house, built of stone and dark wood, is uniquely designed, with many comfortable nooks for reading, napping and relaxing. The house sits up high, overlooking a valley of trees and the Adriatic Sea in the distance. It's surrounded by a large tree-filled estate. The cherry trees were in season during our stay, and we ate baskets of ripe red cherries every day. We spent many relaxing hours on the tree-covered deck where there is always a breeze, despite the heat of the day. The interior decor is a wondrous mix of elegance and whimsy, with fine art mixed with fascinating antique Italian farm implements. The online photos do not do this place justice. The view through the picture window in the dining area is just lovely. The kitchen is better equipped than mine; the bathrooms are modern; the air conditioning cools the entire house; the beds and bedding are so very comfortable; and everything is so clean and in working order. Our host, Francesca, definitely respected our privacy, but was ever ready to respond in a warm and friendly way to any need that came up. She provided us with incredibly helpful information sheets in English of restaurants, stores, places to visit, local beaches and the like. We would have missed out on some incredible meals and experiences without her guidance. She also helped us arrange for a local chef to create a memorable dinner for us one evening, consisting of all local specialties. There was so much food that we enjoyed the leftovers for a gourmet lunch the next day. And finally, the fee for renting this marvelous and special home is truly a bargain. We have paid much more for much less, especially when renting a place in Italy. To be able to stay in this place is truly a gift and a memory that we will always treasure. Meraviglioso.....

Esperienza meravigliosa, durata purtroppo solo due settimane. Si, perché ci sarebbe piaciuto stare di più, la Fortezza è un luogo incredibile. Siamo arrivati e subito accolti da Francesca, impareggiabile padrona di casa, che ci ha fatto trovare tarallucci, mozzarella e vino bianco fresco per rifocillarci. Ci ha poi spiegato, prima di lasciarci, tutto ciò che ci serviva sapere per trascorrere al meglio i nostri giorni pugliesi. La Fortezza è una splendida villa costruita sulla collina alle spalle di Polignano a Mare: tre camere da letto, 3 bagni, una grande palestra completa di tutti gli attrezzi necessari, una grande cucina e un enorme soggiorno su due livelli, tutto arredato in modo da farti sentire come a casa tua. E poi, tutto ciò che si trova subito fuori casa: un terrazzo vista mare da urlo, un parco gigantesco con alberi da frutta di ogni genere, una zona barbecue e perfino un forno per pane e pizze. E mille accessori utilissimi, dal forno a microonde alla lavastoviglie, dai 2 grandi frigoriferi con congelatore all'impianto audio, 3 televisori lcd e una veloce WiFi. Insomma, la vacanza perfetta ideale per 6/8 persone. Ci ritorneremo presto.

tutto magnificamente bello

che dire.... non ci sono parole per descrivere la fortezza, qualsisasi termine sarebbe ridutivo.... le foto non rendono, dal vivo è tutta un altra cosa, è magicamente bello, perfetto, la propietraria la signora francesca che ho avuto modo solo di parlare al telefono (spero che un giorno ci incontreremo dal vivo) è gentilissima anche la signora anna e la sorlla della signora francesca sono persone stupende ti fanno sentire a casa. in casa non manca praticamente niente cominciando dal piano cottura ad induzione, sono rimasta sbalordita, sto pensando di comprarlo anche per casa mia hahahahahha...... la casa è curata nei minimi particolari il giardino magnifico il laghetto con le tartarughe, tutto qualsiasi cosa, ripeto senza parole solo da vivere e spero di ritornarci al più presto.... grazie grazie di tutto

un posto da sogno!

La mia famiglia ed io abbiamo soggiornato a La fortezza per poco più di una settimana e fin dal primo momento abbiamo capito che sarebbe stato tutto perfetto. Ci ha accolto la Signora Anna con un graditissimo omaggio: un cesto di benvenuto con le specialità della zona. Al primo colpo d'occhio la proprietà appare curata nei mimini dettagli e con il passare del tempo si scoprono i particolari che la rendono unica: i calessi nelle rimesse, le selle appese nella camera padronale, un piccolo stagno con tartarughine e gli ulivi antichi, un giardino immenso, etc. Dalla terrazza si vede il mare, panorama ammirabile anche dalla sala da pranzo, grazie alla grande finestra. L'arredamento interno ed esterno è in perfetto stato, la cucina è fornitissima, completa anche di tutta la biancheria. Silenzio e pace per un posto davvero da sogno; grazie alla proprietaria Francesca, disponibile e gentile, in grado di trasmettere ai suoi ospiti l'amore per la sua fortezza.

Essenza di Puglia

La mia breve vacanza a "La Fortezza" è stata semplicemente magnifica! La villa, con tutte le sue adiacenze e il grande giardino, rappresentano una sintesi perfetta della natura e della cultura pugliese: vegetazione mediterranea, colori splendenti, profumi delicati ma intensi, mare, sole e storia. La casa è un labirinto magico dove tutto parla della storia di una famiglia. L'accoglienza è resa ancor più gradevole dalla freschezza e dalla pulizia di ogni stanza nonché dai particolari impeccabili: fiori freschi in ogni angolo, piccoli oggetti di artigianato che decorano piccoli spazi, doni generosi nel cesto di benvenuto, che è offerto da una persona deliziosa: la padrona di casa. Il giardino ricorda il "locus amoenus" del mondo antico, con la varietà delle sue piante e i suoi laghetti nei quali trovano posto papiri e ninfee. Un luogo per riposare e per meditare. Consiglio vivamente questa dimora, nella quale vi sembrerà di vivere nel cuore del paesaggio, geografico e umano, della Puglia.

Il soggiorno a La Fortezza è iniziato quando, ancora immersi nel proprio quotidiano, abbiamo deciso di trascorrere la nostra vacanza estiva in Puglia, in questa straordinaria Residenza in cui ci siamo imbattuti “navigando”. Infatti quello che sarebbe stato La Fortezza lo abbiamo percepito ed iniziato a “vivere”, sin dal primo contatto telefonico avuto con Francesca, la padrona di casa, che ci ha messo subito a nostro agio, dall’altra parte del telefono, con la sua cortesia e con la sua disponibilità nel rispondere puntuale alle qual si voglia domande… Poi, con l’avvicinarsi della data di partenza Francesca, sempre da lontano, ci ha accompagnato da buona padrona di casa, con SMS che hanno dato, di volta in volta, le varie coordinate sulla strada migliore da percorrere, su chi avremmo trovato ad accoglierci a La Fortezza in sua assenza, sulle più belle spiagge della zona… è così sempre più incuriositi da questo crescendo è arrivato il giorno della partenza a togliere l’ultimo velo… all’attesa! Arrivati nelle vicinanze di Polignano a Mare, la troviamo, adagiata sulle morbide colline che dallo storico centro abitato salgono dolci verso l’interno. Giunti di fronte a La Fortezza la curiosità aumenta nel vedere gli alti cipressi che ne vegliano l’entrata. Oltrepassato l’ingresso la curiosità si trasforma in stupore! Ad attenderci c’era un luogo ameno e remoto, immerso nella quiete… Ecco subito un grande frutteto ricco di molti di quei frutti saporiti che la generosa terra di Puglia è capace di regalare… alberi di fichi, di prugne, di mele, di pere, di castagne, di noci… e poi i cactus carichi di fichi d’india… ma la Villa ancora non si vede quanto è immersa nella vegetazione che arricchisce la proprietà. Viottoli in pietra si arrampicano dolcemente dalla destra dell’ingresso con alberi di pino, cipressi, lecci e di altre specie, che sembrano “aprirsi” al passare delle nostre auto come in una foresta incantata… Sulla sommità di questo incredibile giardino ecco, finalmente, svelarsi ai nostri occhi, Villa La Fortezza. E’ Amore a prima vista! Una carissima amica di famiglia è li ad attenderci e, sapientemente ci fa da anfitrione. In modo puntuale, ci “presenta” la Villa, e noi ci “presentiamo a lei”. Ci mostra i suoi anfratti, i suoi segreti le sue ricchezze ed abbiamo la riconferma di quanto siano veritiere le foto che ce l’hanno fatta conoscere e scegliere su Homelidays.

UNA SPLENDIDA DIMORA

La Fortezza è una splendida dimora immersa nel verde e nella quiete della natura. La terrazza, da dove si può godere di magnifici tramonti, ha un bellissimo panorama: una distesa di ulivi ed in fondo il mare! Sembra di essere sulla prua di una barca! Il parco è molto grande e ben curato: piante, fiori e frutta fresca da raccogliere dagli alberi. Entrando in casa si viene avvolti da un profumo di pulito e di lenzuola asciugate al sole! Francesca, la padrona di casa, ci ha accolti con un bel sorriso ed un cesto di benvenuto con prelibatezze pugliesi. Ci ha fatto sentire come a casa nostra, come se fossimo vecchi amici! MAGNIFIQUE

La Fortezza est une maison magnifique...on y entre et on sent toute de suite un charme fou, en effet construite par le signore Basile, visiblement amoureux de la nature, des chevaux et de la mer et les bateaux, il a crée une demeure avec une vraie âme, faite d'un mélange de toutes ses passions, on est dans la maison comme dans un bateau, sa terrasse et ses planchers comme les ponts, son intérieur feutré et au milieu d'une nature et d'un jardin d'une grande richesse d'essences....d'où odeurs, fruits frais, plaisir des yeux, calme... La maison est située proche de Polignano, qui est très caractéristique par ses rochers, sa belle mer. Nous avons profié aussi pour visiter les Pouilles,..juste aux environs, Castellana et ses grottes, Alberobello et plus loin Il golfo di Taranto , la mer Ionienne, Lecce... L'accueil a été très sympa et la cuisine d"Anna un spectacolo!!! Bref Magifique, merci Francesca

Un luogo dove i sogni si avverano

L'energia di questo splendido luogo si propaga ovunque. La casa è speciale, accogliente, piena di gentilezza ed attenzioni. È possibile immergersi nella tranquillità della natura ed assaporarne i profumi. Il paese è delizioso e tutto ha un profumo vero. Grazie Francesca.

Chi non crede al paradiso non è stato qui!

Una breve vacanza speciale in un posto speciale! La villa ti emoziona per l'attenzione posta ad ogni particolare; il giardino e la terrazza sono plus impagabili. Tutto profuma di pulito e, per qualsiasi necessità basta contattare la padrona di casa: è stata disponibile con gentilezza per rendere gradevole il nostro soggiorno. Anche per quanto riguarda le brevi gite nei dintorni e la scelta dei ristoranti abbiamo ricevuto ottimi suggerimenti. Ora non resta che tornarci! Liliana e le sue amiche
