I booked this house based on its cover photo, and I’m pleased to say it did not disappoint. The view of behind the house was nothing short of spectacular. When we weren’t hiking, we sat out on the patio and enjoyed the view!
The house was clean, comfortable, and provided ample space and supplies!
We contacted the owner for insignificant or personal reasons; she was pleasant and responsive each time!
We also appreciated the house’s location to everything we planned to do. Our trip included a visit to Zion, Red Canyon, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon, Toadstool Hoodoos, Kanab Peekaboo Slot Canyon, Sand Caves, Great Chamber, Best Friend’s Animal Sanctuary, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.
For those interested in travel times:
Zion: 35 min to East entrance, roughly an additional 25 (but stunning) minutes to get to the visitor center.
Bryce: 1hr 30 min with a few quick stops for photos and to hit the Red Canyon visitor center.
Grand Canyon North Rim: 1hr 45min—be sure to hit Jacob Lake Inn for some amazing baked goods, dinner on the way back, and cute gifts!
Horseshoe Bend: 1hr 30 min
Toadstools: 45 min
The others mentioned are right in or around Kanab—good sites for a “down” day! Food options in Kanab are limited and mediocre (again, personal preference), so just be aware of that if you like to eat out.
Overall, we loved the house, location, and owner. We would stay here again if we make it back to southern Utah!
