Great cottage with lots of local amenities and very well equipped.

Great cottage with lots of local amenities and very well equipped. Lovely friendly people around the village and the owners were also very helpful. The cottage was homely with lots of nice touches. The only thing that did take some getting used to were the creaky floorboards.

Great tidy little cottage.

Great tidy little cottage. Location was ideal for various outings in the north of England, especially Kielder Water/Forest. Nice village location with shop just opposite the cottage and a pub just up the street. Only real negative is that the ceiling is a little low in places so any 6ft+ people would need to watch out, but I managed. Otherwise it was great. Would definitely recommend it.

Second stay which says it all really.

Second stay which says it all really. Quaint, cosy, big enough for me, hubby and dog and an ideal base for a running event he does on Sunday night around Kielder Forest. Village is welcoming and friendly, great food and dog friendly service at The Cheviot which is literally 100m from the Bothy and the local amenities including a supermarket but fab local butcher and baker take you back to the days when shopping locally for all your needs in small outlets was a pleasure. Lovely countryside to explore including the beautiful waterfall at Hareshaw Linn which is a 90 minute round trip starting from the cottage. Cottage itself has all you need, bathroom a bit tired but fine for a short stay and the welcoming touches like milk in the fridge and even a bottle of wine are a really nice idea. Sure we'll be back!
