Das Haus der Acuna Family Lake (das bald Forest Haven am Prairie Lake heißt) liegt eingebettet zwischen den hoch aufragenden Kiefern am Prairie Lake, nur 3 km nördlich der Stadt Chetek in Wisconsin.

Unser wunderschönes Haus am See ist einfach perfekt für Familien und Freunde von Bräuten und Bräutigamen, die The Mill * in Chetek für ihren besonderen Tag ausgewählt haben. Frühling, Sommer, Herbst oder Winter ... gerne heißen wir Hochzeitsgäste in unserem Haus willkommen. * Frag Nancy nach einer Referenz :-)

Wir bieten den perfekten Platz für Ihre Familie, um sich auszuruhen, zu entspannen und zu spielen. In einem Gebiet, das 4 Jahreszeiten lokalen Freizeitspaß bietet: Angeln, Schwimmen, Wasserski fahren, Reiten, Wandern, Klettern, Ein Autokino, Restaurants, Motorschlittenfahren, Skifahren und vieles mehr. Für die Fischer da draußen ... warme Sommertage oder eisige Winternachmittage ... In Cheteks Sechs-Seen-Kette wimmelt es nur so von Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, Sunfish und Walleyes.

6 Gäste schlafen bequem in diesem praktisch neuen Seehaus. 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Badezimmer, sind voll mit brandneuen weißen Bettwäsche und Handtüchern bestückt. Genießen Sie von der Terrasse oder dem Dock aus den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang. Das große Wrap-Around-Deck ist der perfekte Ort zum Essen. Zum Grillen oder Braten von Marshmallows stehen eine Feuerstelle und ein Holzkohlegrill zur Verfügung. Fischen oder schwimmen Sie von unserem privaten Steg aus, an dem ein Kajak und mehrere Schläuche warten. Eine öffentliche Bootsanlegestelle befindet sich 800 m entfernt, wenn Sie Ihr eigenes Boot mitbringen oder mehrere Pontons / Boote in der Umgebung ausleihen möchten.

Classic Northwoods cabin

We had a great time in Chetek- the kayak was great and seeing so many stars was wonderful. The cabin had plenty of space for us all (5 of us) and the supplies were as stated in the listing. The hosts went above and beyond when we forgot something important- so appreciated.

Our usual friends fishing trip i think that this is our 5th year staying in this particular cabin.

The fishing was great until the High Pressure System hit. But we still found plenty to do in town.

Great to reconnect

We spent a long weekend visiting family and friends and were a short drive away from everything and everyone! We did all of our cooking at the house, just be aware to bring your own sponges/ and paper products in the kitchen.

we all had an amazing time! this lake rental was clean and the location on prairie lake is beautiful. We rented a 20ft pontoon form lake country Marina and were able to dock it on the lake front property with no problem but I would suggest not parking anything larger there.The neighborhood was peaceful and just what we needed. we all enjoyed swimming off the dock, fishing, kayaking, campfire and BBQ on the charcoal grill which is provided by the home owner. We had everything we needed and couldn't be happier with our stay.

It was a great stay!

We really enjoyed the lake with a pontoon. The cabin was clean and felt 'homey.' The rain was kind of a pain but we made the best of it by catching a movie and staying in, making dinner and hanging out as a family. It would have been nice to have larger pans. It was difficult to make meals for 5 with two small skillets and very little Tupperware for left overs. But we made the best of it. Thank you, Acuna family. Jennifer-Green Bay

Great but here are always improvements....

Very clean and well furnished....only suggestion is to provide basic essentials like toilet and paper towels/ dishwasher and laundry detergent :) We had to go out and purchase those. If your are not going to stock these, tell us before we arrive.

Clean and comfortable.

We were surprised that basic staples, i.e. salt and pepper were not furnished. Just things left by previous guests, I think. Also, the route from the house to the dock was kind of sugar-coated. It ended up that Grampa couldn't do the slope to the steps. Plenty of hot water, great appliances, wonderful showers, lots of towels, etc. - tho short on dish cloths and dish towels. Plan to stream all TV viewing, reception via antenna is minimal. Took a lot of gerry-rigging to get the Packer game on Sunday! Reception once we got it was good. We'd go back, but not with Grampa.

Relaxing and picturesque

We loved staying here over the weekend of our son’s wedding. After each full day, it was so relaxing to go down to the water and unwind with the beauty of fall in its splendor surrounding us. Mornings were calm and lovely. The house had everything we needed and Ronda was very helpful throughout our stay. We’d definitely recommend it!

Beautiful Lake Sunsets

We were so pleased with this beautiful property on so many levels! The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for the long weekend. A sturdy boat dock to tie up our pontoon, a wrap around deck with outdoor dining, sitting and even a hammock were just some of the outdoor amenities. The fire pit was the perfect place to relax and watch the sun set over the lake. The neighbors were all friendly and the location was mere minutes from Chetek. We would gladly stay again and again and again.

Great Stay!

My husband and I stayed for 9 days and our adult sons were able to join us for the weekend. The property had a central lake side location. Everyone in Chetek was friendly and the rental house was super clean. We hope to return to Chetek next summer!

We moved our family of 4 from Chicago to the Northwoods of Wisconsin in the summer of 2014. The desire to have land where we could farm, have some chickens and raise our family in the slower pace of a rural community. So we began our search, which led us to the beautiful area around Chetek Wisconsin. We found a rural piece of land…8 acres with a stream on the north end. We bought it! A year later we hired an Amish cabin builder, who built our stacked timber home 20 miles east of Chetek. We share our home with our dog Ellie, cats Daisy and George, as well as a flock of chickens. In addition to being a wife, and mother to 2 amazing teenagers, am a full time Elementary Special Ed teacher and work winter weekends at Christie Mountain Ski Lodge.

Those who know my family would say that we have the “gift of hospitality.” When we lived in Chicago we often hosted foreign exchange students in our home from around the world. After moving to the Northwoods of Wisconsin we wanted to have a comfortable place where we could welcome people from near or far to a relaxing experience. We take great pride in hosting…from the moment you inquire about a possible stay at our home on Prairie Lake, to your arrival and settling in…I am available for questions, suggestions or assistance!
