The Family House is a luxurious holiday home for 12 people, located in the heart of the unique domain of Castle Fajac Selve. A breathtaking view of the forest and the surrounding landscape from its large terrace. On the ground floor, the living room is a large open space including kitchen, dining room, living room, toilet and laundry. Decoration is a kind of industrial furniture and vintage. 1st floor: 2 large double bedrooms with its respective bathrooms & wc, 1 dormitory with 8 bunk beds with private bathroom and toilet. In the dormitory, there's a play and reading area for children awaiting a quiet moments. The swimmingpool is nestled in the heart of the cloister of the Castle. In the Elves' garden is a hut on stilts, slide and swing. Pets are allowed on request. The legend says that it was here on this hill that the moon fell in love with the earth.

The Maison de Famille for 12 people, warm and comfortable in the park of the Château de la Selve Fajac. A forest classified for discovery walks (deer, birds, wild orchids ...). A pond, a swimming pool in the cloister of the Castle. For children, a playground with stilt house, swing, slide, space to play bocce, football, in badminton. Access to swimming pool and pinball in the Castle. Videotheque and library available. Delivery of bread and croissant, cheese, organic vegetables and fruits on request. Massages 2km. Hairstyling at home on request. In the house: semi-professional kitchen, pantry, laundry... Bed linen and towels provided. Cleaning products provided. DVD player, Wifi. Nous avons passés un excellent week-end, la sympathie et l'accueil reçu par Lola, Claude et Yvon est au top. Mention spéciale pour l'aide et la disponibilité d'Yvon durant notre séjour, un grand merci à lui. La maison est spacieuse, bien pensée et confortable. Nous n'aurions pas rêvé mieux pour faire notre week-end de réveillon. Un grand merci à nos hôtes, nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

La propriétaire est très agréable et chaleureuse.

Ayant loué pour les 18 ans de ma fille Lola a eut la gentillesse de faire visiter son château attenant ce qui a ravi ma fille et ses copines. Un grand merci. Le seul bémol c'est qu'on ne puisse pas réserver que pour une nuit .

Super séjour

Nous étions un groupe de 9 pour un EVG et nous avons passé un agréable moment. Le cadre est super, l'accueil était parfait. Le gite est très bien équipé. Vraiment une bonne adresse pour passer un moment entre amis.

Excelente experiencia en Familia

Fantástica casa para pasar unos días de descanso en familia. El entorno es idílico y muy tranquilo pero con la posibilidad de hacer actividades lúdicas con los niños como canoas, tirolinas, etc.. Una vez en al casa, la atención por parte de los propietarios es muy buena y cercana. Recomiendo encarecidamente este alojamiennto.

Agréable séjour à la campagne

Gîte idéal pour accueillir nos 2 familles pendant quelques jours. Très belle et spacieuse pièce à vivre, 2 grandes chambres et un dortoir parfait pour les enfants. Lola et Claude sont très accueillantes. Merci pour cet agréable séjour.

Halte détente en famille

Halte de trois jours en pays Cathare, en famille nombreuse (parents et huit enfants). Un séjour parfait ! Maison spacieuse, propre, fonctionnelle dans une propriété pleine de charme (joli parc avec des bancs disséminés). La piscine enterrée et fermée est précieuse en canicule. Les hôtes sont incroyablement gentils et accueillants ! A peine un (petit) moustique à reprocher au séjour ;)

un bel endroit

la Maison est soufflante , et correspond a la description, une énorme piece à vivre très lumineuse la grande baie vitrée donne sur le parc et une vue sur la foret, deux chambres tres confortables et un dortoir ou les enfants se sont beaucoup amusés ( maison de poupées, BD) pas de téléviseur dans le gite mais un ecran et DVD, Wifi , le parc est enorme. Nous n'avons pu profiter de la piscine , elle n'est pas chauffée mais celle ci etait propre et entretenue, les proprietaires nous ont meme fait visiter le Chateau du domaine. Bref nous avons été ravis de notre séjour .

Not suitable for a family holiday.

As two families with 5 young children between us we wanted somewhere with things to do on site for them. We booked this property as we thought it would be a great place to stay for our children. It is described as a luxury holiday cottage, it is definitely not! We arrived after midnight (having informed the owner we would be arriving late) to unmade beds which we then had to make up for the 9 of us. There were cobwebs, insects and flies everywhere. You can't lock the house. The next day having had a look around we realised the house and grounds were not suitable at all for the children and certainly not as described on here. I will briefly list some of the issues we had. Air conditioning not working, no air con upstairs at all. House absolutely covered in cobwebs, the beds had spiders in. Stairs completely unsafe for children, their is a ledge running along from the top of the stairs, easily accessible to the children with a huge drop to the concrete floor below. The kitchen needs a good clean and updating. Wifi intermittently did not work. Tv did not work. In the grounds there is dog dirt all over, in fact the area right next to the house seems to be the dogs favoured toilet area! On arrival and for the first 1/2 days the pool was too filthy to use. The children's "play area" was dilapidated and unsafe. I could go on but they were our main issues with the accommodation. Delores (Lola) is very welcoming but when we discussed the problems with her on the first day she did not seem to think there was much of a problem. She did have the pool cleaned (we also tried to clean it ourselves) and she had someone attempt to make the stairs safer, although this was still not done when we left early on the 5th day. To summarise this property and the other cottage on site are more suited to students/young travellers and certainly not a family. It is not luxury accommodation in any way.

This place is a haven of peace, far away from all the vicissitudes of urban life. A forest, a pool, gentle hills as far as the eye can see: everything you need for recharging batteries in a quiet setting. It is perfect for a family or a romantic trip but it is also ideal for a creative escape. Our houses are comfortably and carefully decorated. The village of Mirepoix (17 km away) offers all amenities.
