My husband and I arrived Saturday afternoon to a warm welcome from Pamela.
The cottage was welcoming, decorated in warm country tones, clean, with a peaceful atmosphere.
We are beef farmers ourselves so wanted a quiet relaxing retreat, home from home, so to speak, I knew we had found the right place to unwind from the busyness of life; a tranquil
location.
Dungiven is only eight miles form Coleraine, the pathway to the North Coast.
The scenery is breath taking different to the Mournes, where I grew up and to Co. Antrim where I now live.
Northern Ireland is like a diamond with its many facets of scenery.
Banagher Glen which was approximately 2 miles from Magheramore Cottage, which we walked twice as we enjoyed it so much.
Our daughter and niece joined us on the Tuesday, they were excited on arrival, as we had told them of Banagher Glen and Garvagh Forest Park, a treasure hidden away with its only known pyramid in Ireland.
We enjoyed a beautiful meal at The Newbridge Restaurant in Coleraine.
Walked from Magilligans Point to Banoe Beach, then treated ourselves to ice cream in the famous North Coast Morelli's in Portstewart.
The seven days passed quickly by, a holiday I didn't want to end.
We got packed and ready for home with our physical batteries recharged and well rested.
We can highly recommend Pamela's Cottages as a beautiful location to get away from it all.
