Ein Schlafzimmer mit Queen-Size-Bett, Wohnzimmer, ein Bad mit Wanne und Dusche. Es gibt einen kleinen Kühlschrank & Keurig; keine küche Free Wi-Fi, aber kein Fernsehen. Ein Wi-Fi "Extender" hat die Wi-Fi-Probleme gelöst, über die einige Kommentatoren geschrieben haben. Es gibt eine große Couch, auf der ein Kleinkind oder ein sehr junges Kind bequem schlafen kann, aber es ist kein Klappbett. Dieses Gerät ist über unsere Garage mit separatem Eingang über eine Außentreppe, bitte Bilder zu sehen. Wenn es Probleme mit der Mobilität gibt, ist dies nicht der richtige Ort für Sie! Inklusive Zugang (bis zwei Stufen) zu einem in Balkon abgeschirmt.

Wir sind in der Stadt Hill von Bar Harbor. BH Innenstadt ist ein 15 bis 20 Minuten mit dem Auto von hier, die charmant und genau benannt mit "Crooked Road entfernt." NE und SW Harbors und Ellsworth, sind auch die jeweils etwa eine 15-minütige Autofahrt entfernt. Nach einem 10-minütigen Spaziergang gelangen Sie zum "Blue Horizons" -Reservat des Maine Coast Heritage Trust, um das Meer zu erreichen. Das Naturschutzgebiet Blagdon ist eine 5-minütige Fahrt entfernt.

Peaceful Getaway Close to the Park!

This property was stunning and I loved getting to enjoy the peacefulness of it surrounded by trees. The location couldn’t have been better and was so convenient to everything on Mount Desert Island. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Exceeded Expectations

Although we never met our hosts, communication was excellent and we felt welcomed and supported. This location and cozy apartment (sans kitchen) was so much more than we expected. We hope to return!

Peaceful retreat

A beautiful stay in the woods away from traffic and noise. Hosts were helpful but left us alone/available if needed. Close to Acadia, restaurants and Bar Harbor downtown. A great place to stay!

Beautiful grounds

The property has beautiful grounds! Small area above owners garage. The bathroom is very small, however I knew that ahead of time. Communication with the owner excellent. Close to everything that you need.

Cozy and Quiet

Very lovely spot in a quiet wooded area with a great central location on the island. Comfortable and clean. There were magical tiny lights on the large trees outside that made it fun. Also come nice walking trails nearby. We loved it there and would definitely go back.

Cozy place to stay!

The unit is above a garage. There's plenty of privacy and it's very well set up, provided that you don't expect to cook food - which the hosts tell you is not allowed. There is a small fridge, hot pot and Keurig with mugs, paper cups, utensils etc. We had every convenience we wanted and greatly enjoyed our stay. It is only about 15 minutes from Acadia National Park.

Peaceful Retreat

This property is perfect for a solo traveler. It is peaceful and quiet but close to Acadia National Park as well as Bar Harbor. Barbara was such a great host, with all kinds of tips about the area and information about the NP. Sometimes, I navigated only from her directions without using GPS! I even got suggestions prior to going on the trip which really helped in planning! The apartment has many little extras such as a Keurig and a well-stocked bookshelf. The bed is comfortable and the property is beautiful with fairie lights in the trees welcoming you back if you arrive after dark. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location to Acadia National Park

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. The guest suite was impeccably clean and had everything to make us comfortable. It was a nice place to come back to after long hikes and crowds in town because it was private and peaceful. Very enjoyable!

Quiet, convenient stay near Acadia NP

The host was easy to reach and gave us heads up on where to book reservations early for special sights( Cadillac Mountain and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Garden), location was only 15-20 minutes from key sights, accommodation offered good value. Be aware that there are steep steps and a tight bathroom. However, the unit was the perfect place for our timing and budget.

Loved the place! My brother and I were on a bucket list trip to New England and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the woods! Very clean and comfortable. Close to Acadia and several good restaurants. Will return again for sure.

Magical haven at Acadia

Best vacation hideaway! The studio was just what I had hoped! Located in the woods, quiet, yet central to Bar Harbor and Acadia. It was clean and sunny. Barbara and David are FABULOUS hosts! They respected my privacy, yet were available to answer any questions I had. Their suggestions on restaurants, hikes, and must sees were awesome! There is no TV, which may be difficult for some. It was a perfect way for me to unplug, relax and catch up on some reading. Several other reviews mentioned adding a microwave to reheat leftovers. While it would have been helpful, it definitely was not a deal breaker. There is a Keurig as well as an electric hot water kettle. It was great to be able to enjoy coffee or tea in my down time. I wish I could give them more stars. I am so hopeful to return to explore more of Acadias beauty. I will be sure to stay at Barbara and David’s getaway haven! Thank you for a magical stay!!

It's around 16 min by car from Bar Harbour and ~15 min walking from a trail that goes to a nice beach. The unit was great, and very cozy. We had a parking spot. The hosts were welcoming.

Exactly as advertised/excellent host

The location is very private, but it is still very close to the location’s attractions. Our host was excellent. Communication was quick and helpful, the property was clean and well stocked, and check-in/check out was simple. The only thing I can think of that would improve the property would be a microwave.

Fantastic location for my spring getaway

I was very pleased with this vacation rental. The location is great. It is tucked away in the woodlands, but it is only a short drive away from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It is cozy and comfortable, especially after a long day of hiking in the surrounding area. I enjoyed sitting outside and soaking up the late afternoon sun on the outdoor patio. The owners are very friendly and easy to contact. As advertised, there are no cooking amenities, but there are plenty of great eating establishments close by to explore. I highly recommend this place.

My stay in Maine on Mount Desert Island

Overall the property was very good. Convenient location, good resources to local area. The property is park-like and in the woods. Very private. Responses to issues were prompt. Imperfections: minor, minor (and we would still go back to this location: small toilet in a small space, the one couch is a pull out bed we didn't use so as a place to recline, not the most comfortable on the planet). BUT AGAIN, we would stay there again!
