Things did not work.We had to call for a maintenance guy two timesBut worst part about it is when I was speaking with Jennifer over the phone. She got frustrated because of my questions and hung up on me.And of course she will have her version, but I was asking legitimate questions that she thought I should already know it was our first time Renting a cabin for 10 peopleI would not recommend this property to anyone else simply because of Elks rental customer service Jennifer her attitude just cost the owner money, I would possibly rent again, but if she still working there, no I would not

Great Time Snowed In

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We happened to come in during a snow storm and were snowed in for our first few days of vacation. Company did amazing job plowing and salting our entrance and winding road to the property which was greatly appreciated. Only had a few issues with freezing water pipes, heated pool and working the gas powered cooking stations outside, but all in all we had a great time!

The view was pretty but it was a little pricey for what it is. The heated pool was why we booked and invited family for the stay. Whatever kept the pool hot kicked the bucket and we had a freezing cold pool for the kids to enjoy for about 5 mins due to how cold it was. We planned on staying and letting the kids enjoy the amenities but nothing seemed to be working. Pool table was off along with the game machine not working. Definitely a bummer for the price tag

Reviewer Comments: Rented mansion on the hill, dirty old and out dated all rooms, Grilles were dirty, big movie screen doesn’t work, pool & Spa have extreme amounts of chlorine or shock. Driveway leading up to cabin is very unsafe! Pool table rack missing, tv remotes missing. Bugs in all the rooms, showers are nasty, all the games missing pieces , Very over priced for what it is. We have been staying in TN for 30 years. Elk Springs Very poor management!

Mountain View Mansion Christmas 2024 Review

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, property can use a few updates. New/updated lighting in the kitchen over the kitchen table, change blown light bulbs. Add additional lighting to living room. Update/finish the walls in the family room area downstairs. The pillows can be updated in the rooms (very flat). Be more descriptive on the property amenities - thought it was an actual theater room, but it is just a theater screen on the wall in the pool room. Be clear that two rooms share a Jack n Jill bathroom. Be more transparent about the amenities on the property. Could also use a thorough deep cleaning - saw cobwebs beside toilet in bathroom and nail clippings on bedroom floor. Overall, pleased with the size of the property cause it fit my entire family but invest back into the property and update it!

NOT CLEAN AT ALL

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views and the overall house was good but upon arrival there were hazardous personal item left in the bathrooms and outside. Also the grills were not cleaned and beer cans were on the back deck. There was hair on the floors in certain rooms as well. We could never get internet to work upstairs, it only worked downstairs for 1 day and the outside lights to cook on the grill did not work. To pay this much for this type of service is unacceptable and I would suggest people choose another house. The customer service did not care to compensate for anything. BE careful of the tiny road leading up to the house, it is dangerous with no guard rails.

Beautiful reviews but home needs attention

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views at this home are incredible. It’s so relaxing sitting out on the patio. There’s a fire pit and hot tub there which are very nice. However, the house itself needs attention. The home needs a proper deep clean. We spent the first few hours cleaning the kitchen- dirty refrigerator shelves, dirty silverware trays, dirty microwave glass with a gross film on it etc. The bathrooms were not up to par. One shower had mold everywhere and one toilet made a loud screeching noise constantly. The bottom of the toilets were nasty. The rugs in the master are filthy and not washed between guests. The bedroom upstairs with 4 king bags where the kids stayed was very dirty under the beds. Our kids had toys roll under and there was food, empty drink bottles, random shorts etc. The house is huge so the cleaning crew is surface cleaning at best. The gate was broken and we constantly had to fill the pool up - it appears to have a leak. I’ve given this feedback to management in the past that they need to clean their homes better. They have amazing properties but they are slowing going downhill.Basically if you don’t mind spending a little time cleaning or you aren’t bothered by some dirt, I’m sure you’d have a great stay. The location is perfect and overall our family had a great time.

July family vacation

Updating of two of the shared bathrooms upstairs and master bathroom needed as well as bed comforters. Outdoor patio chairs needed to be replaced and outdoor weeding round the house was needed. Outdoor fountain wasn’t running. For the cost of the house and pictures from website we expected better. Also, the driveway up to the house was treacherous as it was tight curves and narrow with no way to pass a car coming the opposite direction. The location as far as Mountain View’s was great, kitchen was well supplied with cookware and having three refrigerators was great. Closeness to activities and parks was also good.Maintenance people were quick to reply the three times we called them and very friendly.

Beautiful Mansion with Amazing Views

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was host to 20 members of our family in July. The views are so incredible and we spent as much time as we could on the large patio by the pool house but were limited by the oppressive heat. Something to consider if you are booking in the summer. There is a corn hole game but one side is broken, we brought our own so no big deal. The kitchen was very well appointed and we had everything we needed for large meals. There was plenty of extra bedding and pillows if needed. The basketball “court” is more like a basketball wall, be careful as we had a few balls roll off the edge of the area and had to climb to retrieve them but the kids still had plenty of fun with it.Our biggest disappointment was the pool. I picked this house because of the pool and assumed even if it was really hot out we could spend a lot of time swimming. Unknown to us in advance, the heater was broken and the water temp was 79 degrees, too cold for the adults but the smaller kids splashed around a bit. Since the pool is indoors it doesn’t get warmed by the sun. It is a drive to any hikes because of the location of the house (not to mention difficult for our smaller children) and we would have spent a lot of time swimming and hanging in the pool house (which was lovely) so that was a big disappointment for us. The pool house has a theatre set up which would have been great but you can’t see the screen during the day because the room is well lit and by the time it’s dark enough to see the screen the smaller kids have gone to sleep. Nothing to be done about that, just something to keep in mind. Lots of room for our group in the house even though the bathroom set up wasn’t great, several couples had to share the small bathrooms but it wasn’t a deal breaker and we made out fine. Overall it was a great house and a nice place for a gathering. Customer service was outstanding throughout our stay!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin is old and tired. I imagine was nice back in the day but needs renovated. Only one room with its own bathroom. Mold in the showers, cabinet paint all chipped up, very dated and not well maintained. Found a cockroach - which I had to hide from the kids or we would have left that day.. maintenance had to come fix the gate, but unfortunately, it still did not work properly. Driveway was crazy. We had a great trip, but the house needs updated.

Graduation Family Trip

The property was very nice, you are in the middle of nowhere, so if you were loud, it's not a problem. I loved that the pool house is separated from the house. We also had a visitor (a bear), I wish I could attach the video. We were sitting on the back porch and when we saw it. We took video inside the house through the window. The only minor thing was, the cabin could have a little cleaner. There were flies in the master bedroom in the tub. Also the driveway to get to the gate is like a roller coaster. I would rent again though.

Awesome views, great pool house but outdated and dirty house

Overall had a great time but the house needs an overhaul cleaning wise and updated master bathroom very old and toilet had puke or something on the base. Wouldn’t book again for the price we paid for 4 days . ($9200) . Recommend reducing the price or putting money into the property.

Secluded location with an awesome view

We had a great week at this place with extended family. It’s secluded and you really don’t have to leave once you are there. Plenty of space for the family to gather and plenty of room to spread out. The pool and fire pit area were heavily used the whole week, and there is an awesome view of the mountains we couldn’t get enough of. We even had a few visits from a black bear. Two minor dings - they weren’t ready to check us in at 3 on the day of arrival. - they need to do a better job of cleaning the place between guests. Several places need some extra attention, nothing that was a mood killer, just clearly haven’t been cleaned in awhile.

Needs tender loving care

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Awesome but the cabin is overpriced needs some love the gate never worked we had a leak issue inside the cabin needs better attention in the area of cleanliness

Now remember how expensive each night is

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We would not recommend You would think the leaves would have been blown away from in front of the doors, they would have picked up the trash lying around, wiped off the countertops and tops of dressers, cleaned the spills off the poker table, cleaned the coffee pots and emptied the ashtray at the front door, but they did not. This was not the best stay we have ever had but not the worst, although I can't remember what was. The concept of all this in one house was amazing but reality was we will not do this again. This was over a 10k trip and not something we can do all the time. WE really expected a lot better and cleaner house for the money we spent. We had to wash all dishes before we used them and clean all rooms. Just because when you walk in the house it gave you the feeling it was not clean.

AMAZING views and beautifully secluded!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin was incredible. The separate pool house was so much fun for my group, and we could not stop taking pictures of the views. The sun sets just perfectly facing the overlook. Tons of space for a large group!
