Das Heritage Hideaway ist der perfekte Ort, um sich zu entspannen und neue Kontakte zu knüpfen. Unser Tiny House befindet sich auf 25 Hektar großen steilen Klippen am Rande des üppigen Hartholzwaldes. Ein 100 Meter Wanderung in, können die Gäste wirklich unplugged fühlen. Gemütlich rustikal, das Tiny House ist mit Solarstrom ausgestattet, sauberes Wasser wird bei jedem Aufenthalt bereitgestellt.

Unser kleines Haus ist zu 100% aus dem Netz und nutzt ein kleines Sonnensystem. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie die Verwendung elektronischer Geräte und Geräte einschränken sollten, um sicherzustellen, dass während Ihres Aufenthalts ausreichend Strom für Licht, Ventilator und Kühlschrank zur Verfügung steht. Während es kein fließendes Wasser gibt, werden pro Aufenthalt 10 Gallonen Frischwasser geliefert. Das saubere und moderne Plumpsklo ist in der Nähe, aber nicht zu nahe an den Tiny House. Eine kurze Wanderung hinter der Hütte ist ein Felsvorsprung für spektakuläre Aussichten auf den Sonnenuntergang. Bitte beachten Sie, dass sich der Parkplatz 100 m von der Kabine entfernt befindet und kein Zugang zur Kabine selbst für Kraftfahrzeuge besteht. Ein Wagen erleichtert den Transport Ihrer Ausrüstung für Ihren Aufenthalt.

Ein wahres Refugium, ist die Kabine gehockt wieder abseits der Hauptstraße, doch in der Nähe viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Entspannen Sie am Lagerfeuer oder lauschen Sie den Geräuschen der Natur. Genießen Sie die malerische Aussicht und treffen Sie sich mit Ihrer Familie, wo die Ablenkungen verschwinden.

scenic get away

The tiny house is quaint and clean and private. It had everything that we needed. Tucked near a scenic wooded area with bluffs and valleys. it was the perfect home base for our Fall road trip. We would definitely return.

Just what we needed. I had to do a little convincing to my wife before I booked it, being its off grid, I asked her what she thought about it, on our way home, and she said she was so glad that I convinced her to give it a try. Very peaceful setting, and we really enjoyed the swing at the overlook.

Anniversary Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay! This was a nice mesh of his off-grid backpack hunting and my comforts of home. It was nice to disconnect from our busy lifestyles and just be present with each other for the weekend. We wandered the property, wandered the roads to the little surrounding towns and sat together just talking and playing games. After all our years together, we need these weekends just to regroup us. My husband has decided we need to come back during trout fishing. Oh, and that we need our own tiny house off-grid like this! In his mind we have one going in about 4 different states.....Hosts were easy to communicate with and very prompt. Troy met us a few hours after arriving just to make sure things were good. This ended up a nice half hour chat between him and my husband about their similarities in hobbies. Highly recommend if you need the time to reset or reconnect with family or a loved one!

A Walk in The Woods

Laurie was a great communicator about unforeseen circumstances. We enjoyed our visit a lot. We didn’t really find trails on the property, but had some great hiking at Whitewater State Park! Be aware you need to bring all condiments (coffee, tea, salt, pepper). Recommend some battery operated flashlights and/or fans due to the limited solar capacity. The overlook on this property was perfect with a comfortable swing and a phenomenal view!

Wonderful Off-grid Cabin

The listing was extremely accurate as were the picture. While it's off-grid the attention to detail was impressive and all the instructions were very accurate. The piece of land is gorgeous...and if you go back a bit there is a bench swing on a rock formation that is just amazing. This was exactly what I was looking for - it was so quiet and calm and everything was minimal. Troy met me on the first night and was very kind and wanted to make sure I had everything sorted out and made it clear to reach out if I had any questions or issues. It was just what I needed and I can't say enough about it if you are looking for something quiet and minimal you can't beat it!

Perfect getaway spot to unplug

We had a wonderful tiny house weekend to get away from the hustle and bustle of our day to day. We enjoyed visiting the surrounding area (loved the Fillmore County Museum in Fountain!), eating at Estelle’s in Lanesboro and seeing the rolling countryside. Then coming back to the tiny house for the spectacular sunset, supper and board games. A couple of notes—the solar electricity is truly limited; after a rainy day, we ran out in the night with just the fridge and ceiling fan plugged in. The mini fridge was a significant factor in choosing this property, but I’d probably bring a cooler as a back up now. And the sunset was better viewed standing at the outcrop just before the one with the swing—not as many branches to hinder the view. Overall it was exactly as we had hoped—a quiet nature getaway in a clean, sheltered space.

A hidden “glamping” gem!

What a fantastic hideaway! So close to Lanesboro and the Root River Trail, yet so wonderfully quiet and private. The tiny house was incredible - well-designed, a comfortable bed and plenty of room. The host stopped by to welcome us and then responded promptly (in person!) when we couldn’t figure out how to light the stove (completely our mistake). The photos of the property don’t show the gorgeous vista just steps from the front door, complete with a swing for two; perfect for listening to all of the birds. We will definitely be back!

Rustic and fabulous cabin!

One of the best private cabins I have ever stayed at! Secluded, quiet and everything you need for a "glamping" experience. The swing out on the cliff was perfect for a morning cup of coffee, for reading and for watching the beatiful sunsets. Highly recommend this place :-)

Zu Gast bei Troy & Laurie Danielson

Troy was born and raised in the Lanesboro area. He works as an Engineer for Minnesota Department of Transportation in Rochester. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing and just generally being outdoors. The Danielson family continues to maintain the original family farm nearby. Laurie grew up in west central Wisconsin on a small hobby farm. She works as a pharmacist for Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She loves living on the Root River and enjoys gardening, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and biking the Root River Bike trail. We feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful place and enjoy meeting our guests. We hope you enjoy your visit to the Lanesboro area.

Heritage Hideaway, LLC was originally established in 2012 with our Amish built log cabin. We became interested in the Tiny House movement and wanted to provide guests the opportunity to experiment with this lifestyle. We purchased the Tiny House in 2015 and moved it to it's current site in May. While selecting furnishings we experimented with a variety of options to make the Tiny House efficient yet functional. We hope you enjoy the scenic beauty, solitude and sounds of nature during your stay.

Our Tiny House is 100% off the grid utilizing a small solar system. While there is no running water, ten gallons of fresh water is supplied with each stay. The clean and modern outhouse is close but not too close to the Tiny House. A short hike beyond the cabin is a rock overlook for spectacular sunset views. The short 100 yard hike in, is facilitated by a wagon.
