Bear creek vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. We unfortunately were evacuated due to wildfires in the middle of the week and Jan was very helpful, caring and accommodating for us as we had to leave abruptly in the middle of the night. Otherwise the property is beautiful. The cabin is spacious and feels like home and we loved the kitchen and location to near rivers and waterfalls.

Restful Springtime Holiday

Perfect spot for a peaceful holiday in nature. Great location for walking trails and cycling. We also enjoyed spending time in Brevard. It's a lovely welcoming town with lots of creative vibes and a great bookshop. Earth Mountain Bicycle (bike hire/shop), Brevard Yoga Studio and Brevard Pottery are all highly recommended.

Time to relax and reset

Bear Creek is very inviting, well stocked and comfy. The back porch is amazing for morning coffee and the fire pit is perfect to end the night with a cocktail. Exactly what we needed to visit with dear friends, relax and reset after a few crazy months.

Just be a little more specific or direction to take the garbage to the recycling center. It took us awhile to fined it. Just tell them to turn right at the dollar store. (They hide it well)

What a great place

Long weekend with some lifelong friends. This is a great property, very comfortable and inviting. All my communications with the owners were seamless and all questions answered quickly and completely. Small things add up, and you can tell that the owners have done a lot of little things that add a bit of an upscale feeling to a very comfortable place. I wouldn't hesitate to plan another trip here.

Beautiful property in the mountains

We had a wedding to attend and loved this property. It was very clean and was exactly as described. The only negatives I have are it needs more light in the downstairs bedroom. I couldn't find extra normal sized trash bags. Also it's very strange that most of the windows didn't have blinds or curtains and you can see directly into the house at night. However none of these reasons are enough to drop a star and I would definitely stay there again. Thank you

Hurricane Helene

The cabin was exactly as described. We loved the location but unfortunately we were not able to enjoy our stay due to the hurricane hitting the day we arrived leaving us with no power or water. Since we could not leave the cabin for 4 days due to trees down we got to know the neighbors in the area and made some life long friends. Jan keep a check on us as best as she could with limited cellular signal. We will be returning to the cabin as soon as the area has time to recover.

Girls getaway

The property was perfect for our girls trip. It had everything that would be needed. Communication with the owners was great. They were very prompt in notifying us with an issue they were having with one of the toilets before we arrived. My only suggestion would be to sharpen the knives or add a sharpener to the kitchen utensils.

Bear Creek vacationn

We really enjoyed our stay at Bear Creek. The back porch was delightful with our morning coffee and the daily visits from the hummingbirds host was very accommodating with all of our requests. We would stay there again for another month with without any hesitation.

Lovely Mountain Location

We enjoyed our stay at Bear Creek Cabin. The cabin is charming, comfortable and cozy. The location is very convenient to many nearby attractions. Even though the cabin is easily accessible, it is also extremely quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch, enjoying the sounds of nature. Communication with the host was very easy and helpful. It was a truly restful vacation.

Peaceful Stay in the Mountains

Adorable Cabin

We stayed here for a couple days while hiking in DuPont Forest. The cabin is very nice and has plenty of space for small groups. Jan was very responsive and easy to reach by text. We would definitely stay again.

Just Visiting

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was lovely! Check-in was easy, it was very peaceful, and clean. I would have liked a heads up that the grocery stores are really far away coming up through South Carolina and that the closest ones are located in North Carolina. Also, when the water ran, the toilets bubbled. When we would flush the toilet downstairs it shot water up onto your bum in the upstairs toilet and visa versa. We were not aware that we would need to haul off trash either. It costs $3 a bag to dispose of at a recycle center that is located 10 minutes away. Overall we had a really great time and enjoyed the peace of the mountains.

During construction, a friendly bear was seen many times at the creek watching as the construction progressed, so we named the cabin "Bear Creek". There is no better place to come and relax after working in the city. Bring your CD music and play your favorite mountain tunes! My personal favorite is watching the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee on the back porch. At night you will enjoy the mountain sounds, tree frogs and katydids will sing you to sleep.
