Impeccable location, old world charm and first class style
Visiting this home is a richer experience than merely looking at the photographs of it. The description is modest compared to the lovely experience I had.
There was an abundance of clean towels, sheets, etc. and I received replacement clean towels over my stay here.
The location of this home could not have been more perfect, just a few steps from the small port in Molyvos and its charming restaurants and gift shops.
The mornings and afternoons were spent either in our private pool enjoying the cool sea breeze or sipping a glass of wine overlooking the Aegean. If you like small inspiring details in your vacation home, this is the place for you...From the beautiful ceiling lights, to the drawings and paintings on the walls, it's no wonder I wanted to stay longer. I know how this is the perfect summer home, but, with its corner fireplace and cozy furnishings, I pictured visiting
in the winter to watch the rain fall on the shingled rooftops and sea below, while a fire burns in the fireplace. Definitely a place to revisit again and again.
This is a home where memories are made.

Stunning
This property was fantastic, the listing description was accurate and the property was very comfortable, the rooms were very spacious. It had every facility we needed, the kitchen was well equipped and we were particularly happy with the washing machine (after two weeks of travel with 6 people)!!! It was also well located right near the port of Molyvos. We had easy access to restaurants by the port and a short walk into the centre of Molyvos. The property was very clean and beautifully maintained. You can tell the owners are very proud of their property and they are easily accessible. We had excellent customer service from the moment I made contact with the owners, thank you Yiannis (he even emailed me a photo outlining in detail the location of my apartment in relation to the apartment that my cousin was staying in...this is very helpful when you have never seen a property before....it really eliminates any confusion or disappointment). I would definately recommend this property to friends and family and would definately stay here again. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!!!

A Wonderfull Property In a Perfect Setting
The Villa was in an ideal location with views to die for! Everything about it was just as described and it was exceptionally clean. Nana and Stratis and family were lovely people and I always feel so much at home in Molyvos I should have been born there! There are many superb Taverna's to choose from and we particularly enjoyed eating around the harbour. To quote 'Arnie' - "I'll be back" !! Nicci for and on behalf of our party!

A wonderful house for vacation in Lesvos!!!!
Molyvos Manor is an excellent place to choose for holidays in Lesvos!!! The house is beautiful, very well equipped and very comfortable for us (4 adults and 3 children of the age of 6,7,8). The Krallis family are really warm and helpful!!! Thank you Mrs Nana, Mr Stratis and Yiannis for your wonderful greek hospitality!!!
Molyvos is the place to stay if you want to visit the whole, big island of Lesvos. It is the most picturesque part of Lesvos where you can eat, drink, walk, shop. The island has a pure greek beauty and very warm people. You have to be prepared for 1-2 hours driving for the remarkable destinations of Lesvos but you will not regret! You can always and easily find a nice beach for swimming, good food (fresh fish of course!) and ouzo!!! We really enjoyed Sigri (the petrified forest, the museum, the beach and the taverna), Skala Sykaminias ( with the small church of Panayia Gorgona -for those who read the book of Lesbian writer Stratis Mirivilis the place gives so many emotions!), Agiasos, Mantamado, Petra, Eftalou. I am sure there are much more nice places to visit and I wish we can be back soon for that! In this case Molyvos Manor will be the chosen place to stay!!! The pool was really relaxing after the all-day trips we had!

Home away from home and real Greek hospitality
I had the great pleasure to spend time in October/November 2013 at Molivos Manor. I have spent many happy summer holidays here in this property and I am delighted to have also discovered how nice it is in the off season months. The comfort of the house is excellent and the ambiance is charming, combining a very high standard of facilities with delightful and thoughtful traditional touches. The property is maintained in excellent condition and Mr. and Mrs. Krallis are extremely good hosts who offer that very special touch of hospitality over and above what one can expect from a commercial property. The property has been the family home and it retains this essential character. I would have no hesitation recommending both the property and the town, with its lovely heritage architecture to anyone who is looking for the Greek island experience with a real difference.

An Idyllic Home in an Idyllic Village
If you are looking for a sublime venue in a lovely traditional Greek village, Molyvos Manor has it all. I have spent 8 springs in the house which is furnished in a traditional style with all the modern conveniences. The terrace of the house is ideal for relaxation, elegant dining or just downing a glass of ouzo with friends. The pool is a fairly recent addition that allows for relaxation and exercise on those bright sunny & warm days. Additionally, the upstairs master suite is elegant with stunning views of the harbor and the western expanse of the island of Lesvos. All in all, this is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the delights of Greece from another era.

Unbelievably special - don 't miss it. Top notch.
I spent two glorious weeks in this Villa October of 2012. I cannot say enough good things. The house was beautiful, and so easy. The location was perfect for hanging out at the house overlooking the sea by the pool, or walking into the very special town of Molyvos. The terrace breakfasts every morning were magnificent. I will be back as soon as I can. Enjoy this amazing oasis.

Gracious manor living with a sea view
A gracious manor house perched over the port with a grand view of the sea and coastline. You can sit on the terrace and watch the fishing boats, flocked by seagulls, putt-putt into the harbor; or lounge around the new swimming pool with its great view of the hills. The interior has an Old World charm, and an especially nice country kitchen with a long dining table perfect for lingering meals and card games. It’s only a five-minute walk to the port and its many lively restaurants, or ten minutes in the other direction to the heart of the village’s shops. Plenty of everything – towels, linens, dishes, pots and pans – makes this a pleasant place to stay for a few nights or weeks, and I have done both. The downstairs bedroom and bath are their own private suite. With both AC and central heating, it’s a great vacation spot or retreat all year round.

Molyvos Manor, Molyvos, Lesbos Greece
We have very many good memories of staying in Molyvos Manor. Over the many years my husband and I shared holidays there with friends, we loved the grand old house, beautiful upstairs bedroom and spacious kitchen . But we all spent most of our summers out on the vine-shaded terrace overlooking the garden, across the sea to the mountains - a perfect place for morning coffee or sunset drinks. Nana & Stratis Krallis were not only good landlords, they became our friends.

For a delightful holiday
I have had the good fortune to be coming to this house on a regular basis for the past two decades. The house is not only beautiful situated and equipped, it is also warm and charming with a real flavour of Greece. I have spent many summers here with friends and more recently also time in the winter and I will continue to do so. I can thoroughly recommend the warm hospitality and thoughtfulness of Stratis and Nana Krallis, the house owners who always go out of their way to make guests as comfortable and to ensure the experience in Molyvos is positive. If you are looking for a memorable holiday stay in the property of truly lovely people, look no further than Molyvos Manor.

Best choice in Molyvos
After visiting Molyvos in 1998 for the first time and falling in love with the town, we have been back several times and always stayed at this place. Why? Because the house offers stunning views of the scenic village and the harbour, its terrace is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and a book, the kitchen allows for real cooking, harbour life can be joined in just a few minutes walk and the Krallis family makes sure everything goes smooth and offers valuable advice if asked.
Definitely a place to stay!

Beautiful Greek Villa Full of Charm
I have being staying in this wonderful villa for eight summers since 2006 which in itself says how much I have loved the time spent there with an assortment of fantastic friends. Beginning with one month each year it quickly became two and even that is too short. Planning to be there for two weeks this November.
The location at the end of the Village overlooking the Harbour is magnificent. The house with three bedrooms has everything you need for a pleasant stay: Full kitchen, air-conditioned bedrooms, Wifi, etc. All beautifully keep and all regularly cleaned, the house as well as the pool and gardens. The beautiful terrace covered with wisteria holds many great memories.
Tired of the seclusion you can be in the middle of the action at the harbour in just two minutes. And as a base to see the wonders of this fabulous island, you could not ask for better. Apart from the pool there is the town beach and the marvellous beaches at Eftalou and Kagia. There are restaurants galore from traditional Greek fare at the Captain's Table, Cafe Tropicana and Angelo's to more exotic creations at Marjoram and Sansibal. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to get away from the hustle and bustle of hotels. The owners are charming and ever helpful - simply the best.
Do yourself a favour and book a stay at Molyvos Manor.

A genuine home away for home
I have stayed here every summer and more recently also in winter for nearly two decades. What brings me back to this home away from home is the lovely well maintained and perfectly equipped house, memories of wonderful summers with friends and above all the warmth and hospitality of Straits and Nana Krallis. Our relationship has developed into real friendship and I can warmly recommend both them and their property. if you are coming to Molyvos, look no further than here

Zu Gast bei Yiannis Krallis
While not having roots as deep as olive oil production in Lesvos, the Krallis family can be found in Molyvos as early as the late seventeen hundreds. By the late nineteenth century they were part of a small circle of Greek and Turkish families involved in representing Molyvos to the Ottoman authorities and essentially running the village. The interesting blend of Greek identity with active participation in the Ottoman empires social and economic life can be seen in the folk art decorating the walls of the Krallis Mansion - currently in the stewardship of the Athens School of Arts - where images of Alexander the great stand opposed to whirling dervishes and depictions of Istanbul, the imperial center towards which Molyvos and more generally the Island of Lesvos were directed.
After the incorporation of the Island in the Greek state in 1912 the family retained its prominent position in the village. In the mid-1920s Ioannes Krallis, father of the current owner of Molyvos Manor, built the power generator for Molyvos electric lighting. The little electricity factory close to the harbor provided the village with electricity till the late 50s when Molyvos became part of Lesvos grid. Still, the second world war and family deaths led the Krallis family to Athens in the late 40s. Today Stratis and Nana spend six months a year in Molyvos and the rest of their time at their home in Athens. Their sons Dimitris and Yiannis live in Vancouver, BC and Athens.
Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
Molyvos Manor is part (half) of a large home built in 1926 by Ioannes Krallis after his wedding to Maritsa Kalligeris to house their family.
The house was never truly lived-in since the premature death of Ioannes led Maritsa back to her family in the village of Sykamnia. In the years that followed it was occupied by the Germans (during WW II), the communist guerillas, the army, and earthquake victims.
Only in the mid-eighties was it divided among Ioannes’ two sons Stratis and Nikos, and renovated. Stratis and his family lived in it for roughly 7 summers until they moved to a newer house in the middle of an olive grove in the village environs.
Since 1994 the Stratis part of the house, now called Molyvos Manor, has seen numerous guests, many returning year after year, choosing this unique spot for their vacations.
