Sehr komfortables, gut ausgestattetes Haus für 10 Personen am Teich und in der Nähe des Pubs im schönen Dorf Norfolk. Vier Schlafzimmer, darunter eines mit Himmelbett und eigenem Duschbad, sowie ein Familienbadezimmer mit freistehender Badewanne.
Ursprünglich war eine Wesleyanische Kapelle aus dem Jahr 1845 Teil der Dorfschule. Jetzt komfortable, gut ausgestattete Ferienunterkunft. Das Hotel liegt am Teich im hübschen Dorf Wereham im Westen von Norfolk im Herzen der Landschaft, in der die Fernsehserie "Kingdom" mit Steven Fry gedreht wurde.

Norfolk Wedding Visit

An old characterful house in a lovely location. Comfortable lounge with lots of seating, well-appointed kitchen downstairs. Upstairs..spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Worked well for our family of grandparents, parents and siblings and two small children to attend a family wedding nearby. Clear instructions were left. It was ideal for us.

Large accommodations!

This seasoned property was well-situated in a small village just across the pond from the local pub. It provided us with plenty of room for five adults and was a good home base for exploring some of the coastal areas of Norfolk. We loved the ability to have a fire in the fireplace each night. Our host, Ian, was very welcoming and helpful. While some of the appliances could stand to be updated, overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Spacious, Baby Friendly House in Lovely English Village

'The Old School House' provides generous and flexible accommodation, including all amenities needed for including infants (crib, high chair etc.). The host is most accessible and responsive, and Wereham is a tranquil and engaging village (with a great local pub providing excellent food), close to many interesting sites for day trips. A lovely place for an enjoyable holiday.

Loved this huge but homely home. The location overlooking the lake was an added bonus. Ian and Debbie left us a bottle of Prossecco, sweets and a lovely card, really nice touch. A neighbour brought us round some home grown tomatoes 🍅 I would definitely go back and would definitely recommend 👌 Thank you Ian & Debbie xxx

Great stay wonderful location

Very relaxing few days in a very friendly village. The village is very picturesque and the house sits right on the edge of the village pond which as a temporary resident you are allowed to fish. The village pub is very welcoming and serves lovely food at very reasonable prices. The village is in a great location for touring around Norfolk. Ian is a great host and even provided access for us to plug in our electric car overnight so we were fully charged every morning. That saved us alot of running around. Great shower in one bathroom and a bath in the main bathroom which is very large. Beds are very comfortable and the house has all the amenities you could need. Highly recommended.

The Old School House Wereham

This property is in the beautiful village of Wereham. My family and friends stayed here for my son's wedding in a nearby village. The Old School House is amazing - such a lovely house and I can't recommend it highly enough. We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous property in every way.

We were an extended family, grandparents, adult children, grandchildren (6 to 15) and two dogs. Ian was a superb host, there when needed but not intrusive and extremely welcoming. The property was lovely, well equipped and warm. Plenty of room for our party of 9 plus 2 dogs. The location in the village was also ideal overlooking the pond. The pub opposite made us feel at home too, staff and customers friendly, food great. I really hope that we will be able to make a return visit. Thank you so much Debbie and Ian

Historische woning als vertrekpunt voor uitstapjes

Comfortabele en nette woning met historie. Mooie ligging aan vijver met pub aan de overkant. 4 ruime slaapkamers voor volwassenen. Veel parkeerplaatsen. Prima vertrekpunt voor uitstapjes in de omgeving. Prettig contact met snel reagerende eigenaar. Enig verbeterpunt is de petroleum lucht in de keuken.

Lovely location

Great size house although it is looking a bit tired with quite a few cobwebs but that didn’t spoil the stay. Lovely village with friendly residents and pub. Communication with owners was excellent.

Friendly host. Happy house

We stayed with 5 children/teens and two dogs. Comfortable house with all you need. Friendly host who lived next door and Ian was hand for anything you may need. Lovely friendly village pub opposes serving simple but good pub grub. Very dog friendly (even providing dog towels bowls and treats) we will be back 😊

Weekend in Wereham

Lovely spacious property in a beautiful setting. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend for a large family/friends getaway. In reality not much to do in the village (apart from enjoying the idlyic setting), and we all have cars so were able to travel around. It's a shame that the local pub doesn't serve food every day, having said that it didn't stop us enjoying a few drinks sitting outside and watching the world go by! The village pond outside the property has ducks and is full of fish! As I said previously, such an idyllic setting. Great hosts, great property!

Great extended family booking!!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the old school house. Great position for day trips travelling to Norwich, seaside and other areas. Ian and Debbie were lovely hosts making us feel completely at home.. will definitely recommend. Great size for 2 families 6 of which were adults.

We had a lovely long weekend stay at the old school house.

Overlooks a village pond and opposite a lovely friendly pub. Plenty of parking. Nearby walks for dogs and children's play area. Ideal location for us as our son was getting married in a barn nearby. Plenty of combinations for sleeping, loads of extra bedding if needed. Big kitchen table - ideal for family meals. Ian, the owner was extremely helpful, contacting us several times before our stay, and again once we arrived. We would definitely recommend it. Can't think of any negatives.

Recently retired. Have had holiday home in this village for 16 years and always found it relaxing and enjoyable.Neighbours are very friendly and helpful and local pub has excellent beers and is very welcoming to all.
We now live for much of the time in the property next to The Old School House and try to welcome all guests personally
