Would not Recommend
First, the good. Apartment is in a great location if you’re catching the Heathrow Express, literally a 2 minute walk to Paddington.
Now, the not so good. Arriving at the apartment there were several open bags of garbage next to the steps. We used the app they had recommended to open the building door, but the lockbox outside, which they stated specifically in their instructions (with a picture) would not open with their given code. We tried for 10 minutes, tried Robert and got voicemail, then called their emergency number which is an answering service. My wife went up the several flights of stairs and found another lockbox which actually had the apartment key. Going into the building was abhorrent; cigarette butts on the carpet which looked as if it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks, bags of towels, what looked like broken drying racks, etc.
The apartment itself was clean and very bare bones. Their instructions listed coffee shops in the neighborhood but none provided, nor was there washing machine soap. This is typical with a corporate run apartment. The worst thing was the bathroom. It was clean but the sink was unusable as it very clogged as is the tub. Be ready to shower in ankle deep water and shave and brush teeth in the kitchen.
For a company which sends numerous emails stressing that you must keep the noise down, no cigarette smoking, etc., they really need to do a better job keeping this building and apartment in shape.
Would not recommend. Oh, this was the last of eight VRBO apartments we stayed in on a five week European trip. All our other reviews were five stars.
