Modernes Chalet mit 2 Schlafzimmern auf unserem Privatgrundstück neben unserem Sandstrand und mit herrlichem Meerblick. Eines von nur 7 Chalets auf dieser privaten Website, das mit einem 3-Sterne-Genuss in England ausgezeichnet wurde.
Das Hotel liegt im Küstenort Scratby, nur 6 km nördlich des Badeortes Great Yarmouth und nur 3,2 km vom berühmten Norfolk Broads National Park entfernt. So viel zu sehen und zu erleben für die ganze Familie in der näheren Umgebung. In Gehweite gibt es ein Schwimmbad, ein hübsches Pub, ein Restaurant, eine Weinbar, chinesische Gerichte zum Mitnehmen, Fish & Chips zum Mitnehmen, eine Bäckerei, einen Minimarkt, eine Post und vieles mehr.

Norfolk Retreat

Loved the location of this accommodation - 6 small chalets, a pine lodge and a detached home on a lovely plot with views over the sea. A great base for exploring Norfolk. Chalet for 4 people is small but well designed, very clean and very well equipped. The outdoor space is fabulous with far-reaching views...

Best ever location

We liked how the chalets were set in a semi circle with the large grassed area in front leading to the cliff edge with great views. It was very peaceful with plenty of space. The chalets were very comfortable and well equipped, and the owners are very nice.

Amazing scenery and lovely visit worth doing!

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay. Everything was there when we arrived, and the owners were very welcoming, and if there were any problems they were there at the end of a call. We had arrived late and it was dark and the owner had guided us up with no problems we was welcomed with gifts the scenery was amazing and enjoyed our walking and watching the sunset. I will definitely be booking again. very clean and tidy, and the bed was really comfortable. Thank you again to the lovely owners, and it's definitely worth the holiday break if you needed one. 💕

Christmas beach holiday

Chalet struggled to stay warm and dry due to condensation. Humidifier supplied but didn't know why until the next day and the Christmas presents we had stored under the bed were wet and the walls were wet. This would have been a lovely stay if it wasn't for that issue. We didnt bother the owners as i doubt they would of been able to do anything to help the situation and we didn't want to go home as the kids were loving the holiday by the beach. We had to keep monitoring the electric payment meter as everything needed electric. Almost ran out of £1's so had to find more change. The heating in the main room is really not suitable for the size of the place and the controller didn't work enough for us to know if it was high or low heat. The main bedroom had no heating which is why it was damp. Only plus bits was the beach being so close that we went everyday. The owners let us stay another night for free even before we got there, which was amazing. They even supplied towels for our visit, which was previously not included. Prior to our visit the communication was amazing and they answered all my questions as i like to make sure im prepared for self catering and bring extra equipement if needed. Luckly we did as the utentils in the kitchen were not sturdy enough for serving pasta. I hate having to write a poor review but we now know why all the chalets in the area are closed. They are no way near suitable for the winter months. The place would be amazing in the summer.

Great family break

Clean and tidy chalet, had everything we needed for self catering and our stay. Great location on the cliff edge. Access to the beach was a one minute walk away. Local shop and bakery a short walk away. 5-10 minute drive to larger shops and amenities. Plenty more beaches and things to do with within a 1/2 hour drive radius.

Peaceful getaway!

A small quiet site with outstanding views of the beach and sea. Access to the beach is 5 minutes away. Our dog loved his walks and we frequently saw seals in the water. Our chalet was comfortable with everything needed including a view of the sea.

Wonderful

Really pleasant and peaceful little oasis right next to the beach. Loved the view, loved how easy it was to get to the beach, loved that there were cafes, bakery, pub all within walking distance as well as a little local shop. We were left alone to enjoy our holiday but checked on to make sure everything was okay. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Great stay

We all had a lovely stay the view was amazing especially first thing as I am an early riser I got to see the sunrises over the sea which was something else got a few great photos as well the accommodation had all we needed for our short stay 1 week and was very comfortable. Nice and peaceful which suited us met Louise briefly on arrival who was very friendly all in all a very nice place to stay thank you Alan and family

Wonderful

We had a fabulous four day stay in a Hickling chalet. We really weren't sure what to expect but we were thrilled with our chalet. There was everything you could want for a comfortable holiday. The view is absolutely stunning, I could've, and did, just sit looking out to the sea. There are a few eating places within walking distance. Thoroughly recommend "Marlow's". All in all a fabulous few days and the weather was great too.

A weekend felt like a week

Arrived in the dark to a welcoming and worried owner❤️ who showed us to the property set us up with electricity! A lovely comfy and very cute chalet! Bunk beds for the kids and a comfy dibble for us. So clean and warmed up quickly! And what a view in the morning! Just beautiful. So relaxing and sheltered. A short stroll to the sea for me and dog! We spent day one beach hopping. Day 2 was villages and we all relaxed into our lovely trip! No negatives! We WILL be back! Thank you guys x

We liked the sea view.

Good location, lovely sea view, with easy access to the beach which was great. The garden with lots of grass and patio table and chairs. Not keen on dogs in proximity to our chalet and garden. Chalet was good but a bit small. Dehumidifier was excellent.

Lovely place

Chalet was nice and clean and functional. Floors in the bedrooms get damp and had to wipe off mould from the wall in one of the rooms even though the dehumidifier was on. The sofa was also not too comfortable and a little tired but that's small things really overall as the location was great and it was great for what we needed which was a base and place to sleep as we spent most of our time out and about.

Winter stays

This is a lovely small chalet with a fantastic location near the beach with all the basic amenities. It would be really lovely in the summer months and I will probably return some time in a summer. However it is in need of some updating, and is difficult when you arrive in the dark and there is no electricity in the chalet until you add money to the meter (once you find it). Despite this being a small chalet, staying in cold months is expensive as the coin meter uses a lot of money - more than my 3 bedroom single skinned 1930s semi which leaks heat and I had previously thought eats gas and electricity. Even with the dehumidifier running constantly as instructed (which is noisy) anything on the floor in the living area, such as dog beds, get really damp every day and needed drying out. For my friend who prefers to sleep without the heater on in the second bedroom, it meant the bedding and their clothes also felt damp after a few days. With no one in the next door chalet it was lovely and quiet though.
