Just got back from a wonderful vacation at Casa Cielo! We had an 11 day trip to celebrate our daughter's graduation from college! 6 adults coming in from 4 different locations and arriving and leaving on 4 different days so lots of coordination of schedules. I'd start out by saying the owners, Jeff and Bridgett, and their terrific staff (Emma, et al) go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and that starts pre trip by helping recommend transportation services from airport (CARM was terrific!), obtaining golf carts for touring the island, recommending restaurants, activities, arranging cooking services etc. ( Many who stay here will have meals prepared or cook themselves in the nice kitchen at the Casa. Our group enjoyed going out to the many wonderful restaurants on the Isla.) If I had a "do over" I think I would have communicated more with our hosts pre arrival to help arrange activities like our SCUBA diving or fishing (I had arranged some myself over the internet but I think it would have made more sense to take advantage of Jeff and Bridgett's many contacts to get the best operators, etc.) In any event we had a lovely time enjoying the sunny weather, beautiful water and gracious people on the Island. The property was well maintained, had a relaxing pool, had a new washer/dryer which we used. This Isla is not the bustle of Cancun but much more laid back which we loved but also, therefore, somewhat more primitive requiring use of bottled water, care with the plumbing and occasional use of bug spray, etc. We had a great day fishing and took our freshly caught grouper and snapper to local restaurants where wonderfully prepared meals! My daughter and I had a fantastic two tank dive on what still remains very beautiful protected reef! We look forward to returning to dive with the Whale sharks sometime in the future. Thanks to all our hosts and help!
