Die Shell Beach Haus ist nur über die Straße von Shell Beach so dass diejenigen, Abend oder am frühen Morgen am Ufer entlang geht es ein nur wenige Schritte entfernt.

Wenn Sie in der Wohnung bleiben wollen, zurück zu treten, genießen Sie einen Sat-TV im Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer. Wenn Sie lieber den Film sehen würden Sie Sinn habe, um zu sehen, die einen großen Fernseher, DVD-Player und Stereo-Sound im Wohnzimmer ist genau richtig. Oder genießen Sie Ihr Lieblingsbuch oder CD, während auf einem der vielen Fenster Sitze im Hause ausgestreckt.

Auf der Straße ist das Parken nicht gestattet. Der Großteil unseres Hauses bietet nicht mehr als 3 Autos Platz. Great experience !

The location is wonderful! Close to the ocean, the seals, "spooky woods", the playground.... My family and I all found The Shell Beach House to be very homey and comfortable! We enjoyed the view from pretty much every room, watching the wildlife in our own yard, enjoying the night sky from the hot tub (which is in a lovely garden). Although it's an older home, (which some people don't like) it was very clean and functional! My chef son appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and grill. We all agreed we would love to spend next year's family trip there!

Great location-run down home

Online pictures didn't show the broken and missing tiles, old baseboards , broken screens or no sliding screen & broken handles including the bathroom shower doors. The lights in kitchen are dirty and you can't see out of the master bedroom sliding door. Definitely needs some tlc!! Noise travels through the home when you walk or close the soors.

Good house. Great location! Owner needs to do some minor maintenance and I hope they are done by the time the next guest arrives. Thin walls so you can hear everything going on in every room. But it’s a good sea ranch home.

Great location. Too many spider webs and odd preventable problems.

Although we loved the location and the space in the home, there were dirty underpants in the couch, a tack in the bed sheets, and so many spiders and spider webs. We would have also appreciated a warning that the back door doesn’t lock, and that grass is overgrown into weeds and in a state that is not close to the pictures provided.

Good! Just one weird thing

Overall the house was perfect for us. Really comfortable and a great location. There was a really weird interaction with the host though. They gave us one kitchen garbage bad for four adults for 5 nights. When asked them about it, they said one bag per can was their policy. Just seemed like a weird thing to skimp out on. Other than that, the house was great and we had a really nice time!

Shell Beach House

Let’s start with the most positives. The location is excellent & it’s pet friendly. Both very much on the plus side. Overall, the house was adequate for our five-day visit but compared with several other houses we’ve stayed in at Sea Ranch, this one had a few negatives making it not worth the price we paid. Our guess is that this one of the earliest homes at Sea Ranch & very little had been done to upgrade it. This was most obvious in the bathrooms & kitchen which were very dated. In both cases they were undoubtedly original. The tub/showers had none of the safety features one would normally expect—no grab bars, no mat or treading on the tub to keep it slip-proof. In the master bath the faucet sink was so hard to operate it took force to open it. The kitchen has an electric stove. The left rear burner sags badly & will not support a pot. The house has no central heat. There are only two heat sources: a gas stove in the master bedroom downstairs which worked well & a wood-burning stove upstairs in the main room. We would have loved to have a fire upstairs, but while an abundance of large wood pieces was available, there was no kindling. There was one laughable sheet of paper provided next to the firewood. (This failure was probably attributable to the rental service or cleaning crew.) The house is sunny during the day but overall the lighting is not great for curling up with a book. And one gross thing. We went to take place mats out of a cabinet only to find them moldy.

We really enjoyed the Shell Beach home at Sea Ranch, The home itself was an outstanding location close to Shell Beach and the trailheads. Great hot tub and a gated area for your dog. Would highly recommend for a Sea Ranch getaway!

Lovely Family Vacation at Shell Beach

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay at Shell Beach. It was our second time staying at this house and the location cannot be beat. The views of the ocean are stunning as well. The house is very comfortable, but not fancy. They even had toys and books that my daughter enjoyed. We will definitely return.

Connect with the ocean

Great location, heat stopped working

On our last night the gas heater wouldn't turn on after working fine for the previous few days. It was after hours so I called the main vacasa 1800# who told us space heaters should be in the closets of the downstairs bedrooms. There wasn't any. The heater switch isn't labeled so I wasn't sure if it was left in the on or off position. At 5 AM the gas heater ignited! (it must have been left in the on position). I turned it off. The next day the heater wouldn't turn on again. I called the local office when it opened as this seems like a safety issue and I was told I would get a follow up from the manager. I didn't hear anything back from them at all. There are lots of other things wrong with this house that people have mentioned in other reviews but personally I can overlook the cupboards not closing properly etc for the great location for the few days we were there. But I expect heat to work. And if it doesn't, I expect to get a follow up explaining what occurred and I didn't get that either.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at Shell house. The bedrooms were cozy and perfect for our family. We loved being close to Shell beach and within pleasant walking distance of walk on beach. Once we got the fireplace upstairs going, the house was cozy and perfect for a winter stay after Christmas.

Marvelous Sea Ranch House

Wonderful big windows In comfortable living room that look out to ocean. You can see surf breaking on the rocks. Fireplace made it more cozy. We walked nearby cliffs, watched the seals, and 2 of our party did laps at the pool. Definitely a dog-friendly place. Kitchen well-equipped For fixing a Christmas feast. Beds comfortable- we would definitely return!

Renters beware

This location is excellent especially for a family with children as it is a short walk to both Shell Beach and the park. The views are excellent and the main seal watching area is right down the path. The hot tub was also great although it’s quite exposed to the surrounding neighbors. The master bed is very comfortable but the other 2 mattresses are in need of replacing. The house was very dusty and full of cobwebs but the bathrooms/kitchen seemed clean and sanitized. Unfortunately there are many more reasons to pass on this property unless you don’t mind paying for inconvenience galore. This house has many things in need of replacement! The nightmare we had with the toilets will make it seem like this review is fake! After discovering upon our arrival that neither of the 2 toilets flushed we thought we’d have to leave, but 4 visits from 2 different plumbers and a day of vacation wasted, the problem was solved by complete replacement of the downstairs toilet. Yay! (Celebrating working plumbing shouldn’t be included in your vacation plans.) The bathrooms are old and cruddy with broken tiles fixtures in dire need of replacement. The gas fireplace was on the fritz. All the window seat cushions are ratty and stained. The electric stove is awful. There are 3 sliding doors to balconies in the bedrooms and not one of them had screens — so no fresh sea air! Why?!? It’s clear the house has been neglected for a long time and it’s sad because it has such potential! Some previous reviewers said how Sea Ranch homes all have their own quirks and that’s fine and true. But this just goes way beyond “quirks”. I do want to state that Joanne and Holly at the local Vacasa office were very kind and helpful thru the many calls for repair we had during our week stay. The truth is we left a day early. We won’t be returning to this spot and after 35+ years of visiting the Sea Ranch it is the first time I can say that about a house!

Wonderful family vacation

The location of this house can’t be beat—a mere minute or two from a lovely protected beach. The house also has AMAZING views from every room. We loved watching the whales playing in the evenings! It has a nice little fenced back yard for your doggo to explore. Shell Beach has its quirks like every Sea Ranch house: funky kitchen cupboards, paper-thin walls/floors (don’t expect any sound privacy in the bedrooms, the vents are literally holes between the rooms), and a crappy dishwasher and garbage disposal. The cheap-o tiles on the upper floor are peeling, the shower doors downstairs are broken, and the upstairs toilet doesn’t flush well. The prevailing wind direction means that the airflow through the house on hot days isn’t ideal; only one small window in the upstairs bathroom lets the fresh air in. This is all fairly nit-picky, of course. Overall, this house is absolutely a winner. Fully stocked kitchen (an Instant Pot? sweet!), good grill on the deck, nice big table for family dinners, newer hot tub, decent beds with lots of pillows, and comfy couches for watching movies. Our family had a good time and will return to this house!
