Parfait! Perfect ! Perfekt !

The location of Alain is a very nice place in the very middle of Paris . You can go everywhere by foot and don’t loose time by taking the Metro. It is very well equipped, with nice colours and lovely taste ! you’ll find everything you need. Alain is a very friendly person and it was a pleasure to meet him ! We highly recommend this place and wouldn’t like to come back ! Herrliches Apartment mitten in Paris auf der Ile de la Cite . Liebevoll eingerichtet, ist alles Nötige vorhanden inclusive des herrlichen Blicks über die Dächer bis hin zu Notre Dame . Trotz des warmen Wetters konnten wir bei offenen Fenstern gut schlafen. Der Aufstieg in die 5. Etage ist ein prima Training für Lunge und Oberschenkel , anstatt der ausgefallenen Sporteinheiten zu Hause . Uns hat das nicht gestört . Alain ist super nett, entgegenkommend und unkompliziert. Es war uns eine Freude ihn kennengelernt zu haben. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen und werden selbst gerne wiederkommen!

What a location!

The location of this apartment could not have been better! Central to the city, so close to Notre Dame and Saint Chappelle, and literally next door to boulangeries and restaurants. My wife and I are older, but were able to manage the steps up and down. Meeting Alain was a plus, and he helped us carry our bags up the stairs when we arrived. A small, but efficient apartment, the views out the windows were terrific. This was a perfect start to our time in France. Marci, Alain!

The Perfect Paris Getaway

This was the perfect place for a Parisian getaway! From the quintessentially Parisian views to the well-appointed apartment, the experience staying at Alain’s property was exceptional. Beyond the wonderful apartment itself, Alain was an incomparable host, going out of his way to offer a warm welcome (even through some travel challenges encountered with flights on the way there), treats and wine in the kitchen, perfect recommendations and so much more. Wonderful Stay!!

Wonderful stay! Perfect location! Close to many of the sites, yet the area is relatively quiet. We were able to walk to most sites but if you want to take the metro it is very close, including the RER B to/from the airport or the RER C to Versailles which is just a 5min walk. The area feels like a quiet oasis from any crowds but is close to boulangeries and restaurants. You will feel like you’re right in the middle of everything you want to do. The apartment is well equipped with every necessity and is very clean and well maintained. There’s also an easy to use washing machine/dryer. The main bed and the sofa bed are very comfortable. The apartment is small and it was a little tight for the three of us, but it was very manageable and we would stay here again. It would be perfect for two people. The spiral stairs may sound intimidating but honestly it wasn’t that big of a deal (and two of us are over 60). Plus, once you get there you have amazing views and a wonderful cross breeze. While the area felt very safe, it was reassuring that the building is very secure. And as a host Alain is wonderful! He was quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our trip, he supplied us with great recommendations, and even helped us with securing a taxi to the airport. And when we arrived, he already had croissants waiting for us, a bottle of wine, soft drinks in the refrigerator and plenty of tea and coffee for the Nespresso maker. We greatly appreciated his hospitality!

Couldn't ask for a better stay in Paris!

My husband and I stayed at Alain's place for a week-long getaway in November, and it was fantastic! The location is ideal for getting around Paris and to/from CDG Airport. We traveled exclusively by foot, Metro/RER, and -- once -- electric scooter! It was a breeze to get anywhere we wanted to go. The apartment was great -- sunny, charming, clean, and efficiently arranged. We loved our morning coffees with a view that overlooked Paris rooftops and Notre Dame. The stocked fridge was also a nice touch :) Alain was very helpful throughout our stay: getting us oriented to the apartment, providing recommendations on local places to eat and tips on using the Metro, and he also was quick to respond to our questions throughout the week on French customs and culture. Would highly recommend, and would absolutely stay here again!

An ABSOLUTE GEM on Île de la Cité!

We had the most lovely stay at Alain's flat! Everything was perfect - the location cannot be beat, upon exiting the flat you are one block from Notre Dame and the Seine (either bank!). We chose the flat because of the spectacular views and it did NOT disappoint. We traveled with our 15 month son and the flat was the perfect retreat after a full day of exploring to come back relax and still be a part of Paris's magic with the balcony views to take in the sunset and rooftop views! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, the bed is VERY comfortable and the flat is clean and charming with plenty of room (we had a lot of stuff!). And the icing on the cake was Alain, the flat's host!! He was SO responsive from my initial inquiry, helpful with any questions I had, so kind and thoughtful as we navigated our trip plans. He could not have been more helpful and my husband and I SO enjoyed meeting him and think of him now as a friend! Alain also had so many special touches that made the visit all the more memorable -- wonderful treats, a stocked fridge and wine! We were so thankful to have these upon arriving after a long day of travel. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Bienvenue a Paris!

From the initial planning stages, to check-in, to the stay in the heart of Ile de la Cite was truly a wonderful experience! Alain was more than helpful during the planning stages of the trip, being responsive in short order. Upon arrival, we were greeted into the Parisian flat with a smile and information that would be helpful to our stay. In addition, the flat was equipped with items for an enjoyable start, from soft drinks, small snacks, toiletries and the all important bottle of French wine. Alain treated us as friends and was not hesitant to assist and provide recommendations as to where to dine, shop and more. Though not equipped with a lift, the daily climb to the flat was well worth the reward of the balcony view over Notre Dame. In addition, Alain took pleasure in providing a history lesson in that the spiritual staircase was fabricated in the Eiffel Foundry. It was truly a pleasure in staying in Alain’s flat and getting to know him.

Sweet property in the heart of Paris

This was a great place to stay for our week in Paris. The two of us loved walking each morning to hear Paris come alive. All of our needs were met or exceeded. Keep in mind the staircase up to the unit is appx 100 steps. Those with physical disabilities should probably choose another unit. We were able to see the workers repairing Notre Dame directly from one of our windows. The bed was very comfortable and there are fresh baked croissants every morning just a few doors away.

Blissful experience in the heart of Île de la Cité

I had the privilege of spending a week in this lovely apartment. The location was perfect and Alain, the host, had made sure we had everything necessary for a wonderful stay. It was clean, comfortable and well-stocked - even with an amazing and helpful selection of reading material in both French and English! The only drawback for this senior citizen was the many circular stairs leading to the 5th floor. Fortunately I had my 17 year old grandson who carried our heavy bags . This was my first experience using vrbo and I feel as though I hit the jackpot. I definitely recommend NOTRE-DAME PANORAMA!!

Fantastic apartment/ Perfect host

Just spent 3 weeks on incredible "Tour de Paris," and Alain's apt was the perfect home base. CONVENIENCE: located in heart of the city, and most points of interest w/in walking distance. Plus, Cite metro (No. 4) station and RER stops 1 block away. Excellent boulangerie within doors away; small "convenience store" down the block and larger markets (e.g., Monoprix) short walks away. SO MANY good cafe/restaurants/ food choices -- all w/in 5-10 minute walk. COMFORT: the apt was comfortable for the 2 of us: living area has couch for resting/reading; the bedroom mattress was high quality (important for a 70 year old with surgically-repaired back!)--- we slept like babies. Alain provided all necessary linens/towels/blankets (all high quality), along with dish soap, laundry detergent, paper products, etc. A nice welcome basket (wine, cookies, bottled water, soda) was much appreciated. Bathroom newly remodeled, and roomy (by Euro standards) with shower that provided ample water pressure and hot water. Kitchen also new-- everything needed for light cooking and meals. Combo clothes washer/dryer easy to operate and a must for those of us who pack in carry-ons. In short, the apt checks all the usual boxes, but the BEST aspect of the place is the "ambience/setting"---- the views out over the neighborhood rooftops; sighting the spires of Notre Dame from the balcony; the serenading bells of Norte Dame. SPECTACULAR!! And Alain was the perfect host-- he spent considerable time with me showing me the apt ins/outs when I arrived (much appreciated, and not common with other apt owners/managers I rented from in Paris). He lives in an adjacent apartment, is easy to contact by email, and committed to the comfort of his guests. We had an opportunity to spend some social time with Alain and thoroughly enjoyed his company. BOTTOM LINE: fantastic apartment, perfect host. Franklin from Pittsburgh, PA

Authentic Experience

If you appreciate evening breezes, with a view of a glowing Notre Dame from your balcony, or a morning sunrise over vintage rooftops along the Seine, this charming corner apartment will provide. Although the winding staircase up to the apartment is a bit of a challenge with suitcases, we were happy to experience this skylit architectural jewel in the same way it has served residents for the last century. We loved being in the center of Paris on Île de la Cité, within walking distance to the neighborhoods and places along the river we wanted to explore. The apartment was well secured, clean, nicely fitted, and the bed was very comfortable. Alain was a wonderful host, and provided us with all the assistance and information we needed to thoroughly enjoy our first visit to Paris. We hope to return again - soon!

Perfect location!

My two boys (12 and 14) and I stayed at Alain's apartment for four days in June. The location is a stone's throw from Notre Dame, the apartment is perfectly equipped, and in walking distance to absolutely everything. There are great bistros nearby, grocery stores, and RER/metro stations within a few minutes' walk. Alain was responsive and thoughtful (he left us water and boxes of cookies in the apartment) and we had early access to the apartment after our mid-morning arrival in Paris - very much appreciated! Lovely apartment, wonderful host

Alain literally could not have been more thoughtful, kind and helpful for our three-night stay at his lovely apartment in a terrific location right next to Notre Dame Cathedral. We could walk everywhere we wanted to, so much to see and do in the area. The stairs are quite a challenge with luggage (!) but well worth the effort for the fabulous views over the rooftops of Paris. Alain was flexible when our flights were delayed and our arrival time was constantly changing as we got re-routed, and the thoughtful touches of delicious Nespresso coffee, wine and essentials were much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again if/when we are in Paris next time!!

Perfect Parisian Getaway

We loved this apartment! It was exactly what we wanted and more. Alain was the perfect host. We would give him 10 stars if we could. He personally greeted us and provided a yummy welcome basket including jam, wine, and a fridge full of soda. His apartment was well stocked with towels, umberellas, and everything else we needed. The balcony was so nice. We sat out on the table and enjoyed lunch while enjoying the nice weather and gentle breeze. The rooms were bright and we were able to open the doors to create a cool cross breeze. The bedding and mattresses were cozy and comfortable. Having an extra bedroom was a bonus so that our daughter could have her own comfortable bed and private space. We loved the location! So close to Notre Dame and the metro. We felt completely safe. There were two outer doors to the building before getting to the stairway. Our apartment also had a separate door and key. Although we did need to climb stairs to the top, we enjoyed looking out the windows and feeling above the crowds and much of the noise. The bathroom was remodled and completely adequate for what we needed. We would not hesitate to book this apartment again. The apartment location, our friendly host interactions, and our apartment ammenities made our first stay in Paris a great experience we will never forget. Alain was excellent at communicating through email and gave us several great dinner reservation and itenerary ideas. He was the perfect Parisian host! Merci

If you’re single, this is the place for you!

Great location, host was very nice and inviting but, very disappointed with the apartment. If you’re a single person and you’re looking for a party place, this is the place for you. Just 93 steps up to your apartment! Apartment was not very clean, especially the kitchen cupboards. We found the apartment to be small and lacked functional and comfortable furniture. Small Bedroom with no room for moving in addition, to lacking storage. Tiny bathroom, poor lighting, tight shower and once again no storage.. Very noisy location, noise went on till about 2 am. Door security concerning that you had to lock yourself in and needed a key to let yourself out as well on all 3 doors. Big trap, very dangerous and unsafe. Overall , we just use the apartment to crash at night. Thank you, Paul & Ruth USA

Cute confortable stylish flat in best location of Paris

We stayed for 5 nights at this property and the owner were beyond to make our stay an unforgetable one. Best location of Paris, clean, modern flat that accomodates 4 people. Imagine yourself with a coffee listening at Notre Dame bells, priceless!. Even in a rainy day the appartment is well lighted. Alain provided us with a bottle of wine at the wnd of our stay. Apratment has electricity converters, expresso coffee and other goodies. I am so ready to come back.

The perfect Parisian apartment

LOCATION, LOCATION,LOCATION ! This is our fourth visit to Paris and by far this is the best apartment. What a wonderful stay! Alain's place is situated in an incredibly wonderful location -- two blocks from Notre Dame... You feel like a Parisian here with the adorable balconies and postcards views on rooftops, Notre-Dame towers and even a glimpse of La Seine! The rooms were very clean and exactly as described and pictured in the photos. The bed was divinely comfortable and the sofa bed (pulling it out was no problem) was pretty good to sleep on too. Kitchen has it all,everything what is needed is there and the unlimited long distance calls and wifi were great Excellent bakery doors away, late night small grocery store down the side street and many cafés in the street. 5 min. walk from Ile St. Louis and 15 min walk to the excellent restaurants in the Marais and Latin Quarter .The apartment is up five flights of stairs (that is the only minus we can think of) but compare to our previous experiences in Paris, the staircase is in perfect condition and has double doors to access it (in other words - safe !). And the reward afterwards is worth it ! Alain was a great host, great with communication, and everything met our expectations. We enjoyed our time in Paris and our stay in this apartment. We hope to return soon !
