"Puanani", hawaiianisch für schöne Blumen, ist ein Familienhaus im hawaiianischen Stil, das sich am Ende einer ruhigen Sackgasse befindet. Hanalei Bay und die Stadt sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein großer Garten mit Plumeria, Hibiskus, nachtblühendem Jasmin und einem üppigen Garten mit melodischen Singvögeln kann von der Vorder- und Rückseite bedeckten Lanais genossen werden. Das Haus ist mit Korb- und Bambusmöbeln eingerichtet und verfügt über offene Deckenbalken und Wände aus natürlichem Zedernholz. Es bietet ein geräumiges und komfortables Ambiente.

Der sichelförmige Strand von Hanalei Bay ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt und lädt zum Sonnenbaden, Strandkämmen, saisonalen Schwimmen und spektakulären Sonnenuntergängen ein. Machen Sie einen Spaziergang am Strand entlang zum historischen Hanalei Pier und genießen Sie die atemberaubende Aussicht auf die umliegenden Berge und Wasserfälle.

Great Location - Not a relaxing environment

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is lovely, in a typical Hawaiian style. It is in a great location in Hanalei - a couple blocks to the shops and the beach and has a very nice garden and deck area. The neighborhood is a bit of a challenge however owing to the complete lack of soundproofing. Quiet time is mentioned but this includes INSIDE the home too. Forget watching TV after dinner for which we were visited, yelled and swore at. I enjoyed a similar experience a couple days later (without the visit) for talking too loudly while doing the dishes at 8 20 in the evening.Bring a good book. Go to bed at 8pm. Talk to no-one for the remainder of the night and you'll be fine. It is a house I would have gladly returned to but NOT in the current environment - nor will I be encouraging friends and family to go.

Wonderful Stay

Reviewer Comments: Puanani is a great little house in a fantastic location just a couple of blocks off the Hanalei strip of shops and restaurants on a quiet cul de sac (save for the 5 AM roosters). It was perfect for our family of four (our adult children shared the room with twin beds, I and my wife slept in the master bedroom). The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms indoors, plus an outdoor shower. The electric range was fine, even for a gas snob like myself, and there's a large gas grill. Outdoor table on the deck makes for pleasant meals. Washer/Dryer and 4 beach chairs and umbrella were on site, a nice bonus. No AC and no dishwasher, but we were never hot (in April temps peaked at around 80). If you are looking for luxury, Puanani is not for you. But if you are looking to live comfortably "like a local" for a few days in the best part of the island, I highly recommend.

Perfect Hanalei Getaway

If you are looking for a simple Hanalei beach getaway you wont do better than Puanani Hale. Perfect location on a quiet cul-du-sac, a short walk from both the stores and the beach.

Wonderful Location to everything!

This rental house is really well maintained. Very clean and well appointed. Lovely wood interior. It had everything we needed. Being able to walk just about everywhere was fantastic. The house was a delight !It was very clean and had everything one would need. The cushions on the deck desperately need replacing- they were very uncomfortable as they were super thin and worn. I know there was caution given to being quiet for the neighbors but the neighbors are the noisy ones. The driveway is used as a turn around throughout the day. I could not figure out why so many cars coming to the end of the street and then turning into driveway. I would recommend a chain or rope across the driveway. Others before me have commented on this as well. They make a lot of noise turning on the gravel. Wondered if it is intentional.

Reviewer Comments: Mixed opinion about the property.The good:- central location in Hanalei while being in a very quiet area- in walking distance to beach and town- wonderful outdoor area - clean The not-so-good:- very outdated interior (price-value not balanced)- not well-insulated from outside noise (be prepared to wake up every day by 3 am thanks to the roosters that live outside) - neighbor complaining about noise from watching TV at reasonable volume in a rather rude way. We are seasoned travelers and very respectful towards locals wherever we go but this made us feel unwelcome. On the bright side another neighbor stopped by the next morning and apologized for her. - communication from rental agency was a bit too much - too many follow ups and reminders including download of unnecessary app- check in process very outdated where you have to pick up and drop off keys at actual agency office

Comfy, low key piece of Paradise

Our family (husband, myself, two boys,16 and 11) had a great stay at this property. Super clean and comfortable. It's a well-lived-in house, meaning no granite countertops or fancy tiles in the bathroom. The outdoor shower is grand and the location is superb. Yes, the roosters are noisy, but they are literally everywhere. So I think you would hear them wherever you stayed in Hanalei. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

Great Location

Would have given 5 stars, the property deserves it, but the resident rooster crowed the entire night. And the property behind us was under construction the whole week and were very loud (air compressor, nail gun) so it was not a relaxing place during the day. We would have appreciated a heads up on that. The property itself was perfect for us and close to the beach and downtown. It would have been lovely if it were not for all the racket.

Loved it!

Clean house with a 5 minute walk from the beach and from shops & restaurants. Has that 1970s surfer house vibe. Beach chairs, towels, kitchen appliances provided. We loved the outdoor shower. If you haven't been to Hanalei before know that it is gorgeous but is definitely the wet side of the island.
