Holly Cottage wird bequem eine vierköpfige Familie schlafen, oder wäre ideal für Paare, die sich in der wunderschönen Landschaft verlieren wollen. Egal, ob Sie alle Aktivitäten in den Beacons nutzen oder einfach nur gemütlich mit einem guten Buch vor dem Kamin sitzen möchten, Holly Tree ist der richtige Ort für Sie. Es gibt eine schöne Kneipe, ein paar Minuten zu Fuß über die Felder, und es ist eine kurze Fahrt in die geschäftige Stadt Brecon, oder das Zentrum der Aktivität von Talybont-on-Usk. Wanderwege, die direkt vom Hof führen, führen Sie auf die Hügel, hinunter zum Kanal oder entlang des atemberaubenden Usk-Tales. Am östlichen Ende der Beacons gelegen, sind Sie weit weg von den Massen, die zum Pen Y Fan strömen (obwohl erfahrene Wanderer es direkt vom Cottage aus erreichen können).
Beginnen Sie Ihren Tag mit einem warmen Frühstück neben den Panoramafenstern mit Blick auf das Usk Valley und planen Sie Ihren Tagesausflug auf der Wandkarte neben Ihnen. Machen Sie ein Picknick mit den Leuchtfeuern oder planen Sie die Wanderung, um in der Royal Oak im Dorf zu Mittag zu essen. Danach kehren Sie zum Cottage zurück, um sich zu entspannen. Im Sommer können Sie mit Gartenmöbeln und einem Grill den Ausblick vom Garten genießen. Wenn das Wetter nicht so gut ist (und das passiert manchmal in den Beacons ...), zünden Sie den Holzofen an und machen Sie es sich in dem gemütlichen, steinernen Wohnzimmer gemütlich, mit Freesat TV oder DVD zur Unterhaltung.

Oase der Ruhe in wunderschöner Landschaft

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes und durchdachtes Cottage, schönes gemütliches Wohnzimmer, große Küche mit tollem Blick , Schlafzimmer mit sehr gemütlichen Betten. Alles sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt, hochwertige Einrichtung. Kleines Bad. Schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen. Alles vorhanden, was man braucht, wir haben uns total wohlgefühlt. Tolle Lage in den Brecon Beacons, Wanderwege direkt vor der Tür. Einzige Einschränkung: der Warmwasserboiler ist in einem Schrank im Hauptschlafzimmer untergebracht und hat uns morgens früh beim Schlafen gestört. Der Vermieter hat daraufhin die Zeit von 7 h auf 8.30 h geändert, wir brauchten auch früher kein warmes Wasser und ohnehin keine Heizung, so dass das Problem für uns damit gelöst war. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war wunderbar, immer erreichbar, sehr hilfsbereit! Tolle Erfahrung, wir würden sehr gern wiederkommen!

Lovely remote cottage

Sämtliche Fragen werden verbindlich und unglaublich freundlich beantwortet. Das Haus ist ideal für alle, die die Stille und die Natur lieben. Man kann direkt vom Haus aus in die Berge wanden. Lovely cottage, amazing location, couple of issues.

We had an amazing stay at this cottage for a few days of walking the Brecon Beacons. Cottage has everything needed, is in a great location for walking and has an amazing pub ‘Royal Oak’ with superb food in easy walking distance. Pity about the issue with the heating and TV didn’t work, but these were minor issues compared to the great cottage. Thank you Richard

Beautiful location

A lovely spot in the Welsh countryside. Great views and nearby walks across the fields to the valley. We did find the driveway a bit difficult in our hire car that did not have a lot of clearance, so once we had unloaded luggage we left the car down the driveway and walked in and out of the property.

A lovely cottage for a stay in Brecon Beacons

A lovely little cottage that had everything you need. We stayed with our two young children. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it, but we have two areas that weren't perfect. Getting the boiler just right took a while. There wasnt enough hot water on our first night, so the kids ended up with a tepid bath and theln in trying to sort that out we set the boiler to come on early in the morning so we could have hot showers - the boiler is noisy and so woke us up very early. After the first night we got the balance sorted and it worked perfectly - perhaps worth speaking with the owner ahead of your trip to make sure everything is right for your first night. Our second issue was with access to the parking, its up a very steep slope off a narrow lane. We have a very long estate car, which made it difficult to access the parking (wheels were spinning on the concrete after rain). We did manage to get in each time, but it was tricky. I imagine with a shorter car it would have worked better, as the angles would be easier. Equally a 4x4 would easily do it. Despite those negatives it was a great place to stay and the communication i had with the owner was very friendly and helpful.

This is our home in brecon beacons

This was our 3rd stay in this place and like always we had a great time. We love having a fire in the evening, plenty space for kids to run around safetly, peace and quiet, fully equip kitchen and games.

The pictures do not do this place justice. The location is amazing and the cottage is decorated exceptionally well with everything you could need with nice touches such as having books and games to entertain in between walks. One of the best places we have stayed!

A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country. It is really well equipped (not something you find in all holiday properties)A nice surprise to find some wine waiting for us on the kitchen table. There are some good walks from the front door. Logement très confortable et bien équipé. Facile à vivre. Espace extérieur restreint mais accès malgré tout à un petit jardin. Très belle région : les fiches de circuits de randonnée nous ont été très utiles. Un seul petit regret qui n’a rien à voir avec la location elle même : ne pas avoir pu rencontrer les propriétaires. En louant, nous pensions qu’ils étaient sur place. Rien de grave, mais ces locations avec « boite à clé » ne font pas beaucoup de place à la rencontre. C’est dommage, personnellement c’est ce que nous cherchons, souvent, dans le voyage.

Beautiful spot

Beauiful spot with spectacular views. The cottage was very comfortable with all the amenities we required. A short walk up from the pub in the evenings was perfect for walking off the dinner at the local pub. Lovely walks right from the front door too.

Cosy stay in the Brecon Beacons

This is a cosy property on farmland in the Brecon Beacons with good access to the surrounding areas. We used it as a base for the Hay Festival and exploring other attractions. Pub in the village and plenty of walks. Property is clean with everything you need. Outdoor space being on a steep incline, however, not great for younger children.

Beautiful location with amazing views

Location is great, you have the most amazing views from the property and you can start hiking from the front door of the property. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, very well equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is very well equipped as well, you really feel like you are at home. Nice big garden as well, my kids loved running up and down the garden and you have an even greater view from the back of the garden which sits above the roofline of the property. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is the heating. This is a subjective comment as we live in a very modern and well insulated house so the cottage was very different for us. The bedrooms were always warm but there was a horrible noise when the heating was on from the water tank that is just behind your head when you're in bed in the main bedroom so we didn't need to put alarms on as the noise woke us up every morning. Downstairs none of the radiators worked as there was more air in them than water but electric radiators were provided. Still downstairs felt too cold for us so we didn't spent much time there. The floor in the kitchen was especially cold so I would bring some very warm slippers or socks to wear. Please don't let that deter you from booking this property, it is totally worth it and the owners have put a lot of thought into making guests feel comfortable. The kids absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back there. They especially loved having some DVD's to watch, all the board games provided, the comfortable beds, the view out the window and especially all the sheep and lambs that graze all around the property. There is WiFi with about 20mbs download speed which is amazing considering you're up a mountain on a farm. There is also a fireplace and there were logs there to use if you chose to (with an honesty box to pay for the wood) but we didn't make use of it as we had no idea how to do it safely.

Brilliantly located cosy cottage

A brilliantly-located, peaceful, and well-equipped cottage. Equally good for long days walking in the hills or for activities to do with young children. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, it's all great! Be sure to check out the incredible grove of ancient yew trees in the nearby churchyard !
