Das Hotel liegt in 56 Hektar eigenen Wiesen und Wäldern. Das Bauernhaus befindet sich in einem großen Innenhof. Das 200 Jahre alte Bauernhaus aus Stein ist mit einem modernen Touch ausgestattet, ohne das traditionelle französische Flair zu verlieren. Die Küche ist handgefertigt aus einheimischem Kastanienholz. Es gibt einen 6-Flammen-Gaskocher und einen Doppelofen-Rangemaster-Herd, so dass die Selbstverpflegung mit der Anzahl der Personen in Ihrer Gruppe angenehm und stressfrei sein kann. Für Frühaufsteher oder späte Abende, die vor dem Holzfeuer plaudern, gibt es im Küchenbereich einen viersitzigen Tisch vor dem Holzofen. Es gibt auch einen großen Esstisch aus massiver Eiche, der bequem Platz für 8 Personen bietet.

An der Vorderseite des Bauernhauses befindet sich eine Terrasse mit Ess- und Grillbereich im Freien. An der Rückseite des Bauernhauses befindet sich ein umzäunter Garten mit privatem Swimmingpool und Rasen mit Sträuchern, der sich auch hervorragend zum Essen im Freien und zum Grillen eignet.

Vor Ort haben wir einen 12m x 6m großen beheizten Salzwasser-Gemeinschaftspool mit 3m integriertem Planschbecken. Obwohl der Pool mit uns und den Gästen von Kinda Kamping geteilt wird (es gibt eine große Terrasse und eine Rasenfläche um den Pool herum). Wir glauben, dass es nie überfüllt ist und eine großartige Möglichkeit ist, im Urlaub neue Leute und Freunde zu treffen. Der Poolbereich ist eingezäunt, um den anerkannten Sicherheitsbestimmungen zu entsprechen, und verfügt über ein Nummerncode-Verriegelungssystem für das Pooltor.

Es gibt viele Aktivitäten vor Ort, bei denen jeder beschäftigt sein kann, falls Sie dies wünschen. Wir haben eigene Mountainbike-Strecken, einen kleinen Angelsee, Badminton und Tischtennis, um nur einige zu nennen.

Diese ruhige Umgebung ist ideal, um sich zu entspannen und die fantastische Aussicht auf den Perigord-Nationalpark und die Tierwelt zu genießen. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Limoges und Brantome (auch bekannt als Klein-Venedig) sowie schöne Badeseen sind bequem zu erreichen , Kanufahren und zahlreiche französische Märkte machen dies zum idealen Urlaubsziel für alle.

Wonderful Week!

We spent a fantastic week at the property. Our party was made up of 4 adults and 2 children (aged 7 and 2). The pictures of the property do not do it justice! It’s spacious, clean and has everything you need for a great holiday. The location of the property is ideal for exploring all that the Dordogne has to offer. We visited Brantome, Périgueux and Oradour-sur-Glane, all of which are mentioned in the welcome book. Leigh was was very friendly and welcoming. The large pool along with the hot tub was a huge hit with all. We didn’t use the small private pool as we were the only guests there. We were all sad to leave! Thank you for a brilliant week.

Beautiful farmhouse, in a beautiful setting

We had a fabulous time, pool was fantastic, farmhouse well equipped,stunning rural location although nearest village a short drive away. , it was a little quiet for the teenagers,but they still had a great time, table tennis, badminton, swimming and we all loved the addition of a hot tub, great for stargazing! Thanks Leigh and Dave, we had a lovely stay ☺️

Peaceful Location

The farmhouse is quite remote, situated in beautiful countryside. This suited us very well as we wanted a relaxing holiday. The hosts Leigh and Dave were very helpful when anything was needed and ran a delightful little restaurant on site, which was always well patronisd by local people and visitors to the area. The two swimming pools were lovely and much needed when we were there in 30+ degrees. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would thoroughly recommend the farmhouse and the area.

Séjour reposant et services omniprésents

La location est pleine de charme au sein d'un petit hameau non loin du centre de Miallet (5km) et ses commerces de premières nécessités. Leight et Dave sont aux petits soins, aussi discrets que serviables au besoin. Tout est à disposition, piscines, fléchettes, panier de basket, ping-pong, pétanque, balançoire, et barbecue pour les plus grands ! Excellent séjour en résumé avec pour seul bémol la propreté de la cuisine

A French farmhouse in the North Dordogne

We had a wonderful family holiday in the farmhouse on Leigh and Dave’s extensive property in the heart of the French countryside. Fabulous swimming pool and hot tub. Lots of activities for all the family- bike trails,BMX track, table tennis, ball games etc. We were never lost for anything to do. Local markets, interesting towns, lakes with beaches, animal parks. We must not forget the great food in Dave’s restaurant

Fantastic family holiday

Really good accommodation with excellent amenities and fantastic family facilities. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant on site was a huge bonus. Well located for enjoying the local recreational lake facilities. We would highly recommend!

Stay with two young families

We had a great trip to Leigh and Dave's property in June. The Farmhouse was plenty big enough for 4 adults, two toddlers, one child and a dog! Leigh made sure stair gates were put up, she supplied two cots and two highchairs for the youngest members of the group. There were also lot of toys and games for the three little ones. Leigh was excellent in responding to any questions we had (and there were plenty!) and both Leigh and Dave provided us with lots of information when we were there. The restaurant is being refurbished but Leigh and Dave were still happy to organise pizzas etc. We just ate in the farmhouse as it was so hot when we were there. There were lots of great lakes and towns to visit within a 20-30 minute drive. The farmhouse is in a really remote location, but we found that was the same with most places we visited whilst across in France. The area was extremely beautiful. Overall we had a brilliant time and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

French Gite Family Holiday

The farmhouse was clean cool and spacious which was great as the temp topped 38 degrees during our stay , open plan down stairs 8 seat dining area Smart TV with English sky free view . 3 bedrooms plus a two bed bunk room 3 bathrooms 4 toilets washing machine dishwasher range cooker private hot tub small private swimming pool larger communal pool table tennis and badminton nets . Leigh and Dave the owners live on site are very accommodating , they also run a small restaurant seasonally on site which is very useful. Would we stay again yes . It is a good 7 to 8 hour drive from Calais we added that to our holiday by booking hotel rooms on route and return to sample different areas of France which only made it a more cultured experience. If you want a relaxing time with family its great for adults and children alike feels like a family home . Leigh and Dave thank you for our stay with you we hope you have a great summer , Adrian , Rachel and the boys

Beautiful find and such lovely hosts.

We ended up staying in the owners own property which was amazing, but the farmhouse is beautiful too. Dave has done most of the work himself and is a true craftsman. Nothing was too much trouble. The land surrounding the pwwas stunning, and there is so much to do if you are prepared to drive a few miles. The local lakes are wonderful, if you get to them in the morning you can have the whole lake to swim in by yourself. Pleanty of places around to eat, drink, visit and watch the world. Equally you could stay the whole of your holiday at the property and escape from the rat race. The recent addition of a restaurant is an added bonus, paethe stone backed hand made pizza. This is a place you have to try.

Perfect relaxing family holiday

The hosts Leigh and David were great, they made us feel at home and couldn’t do more to ensure our stay was relaxing and stress free. All the facilities were brilliant, from a lovely farm house with all mod cons, to a wonderful pool area and great outside space for the kids to run free. The restaurant on site was perfect and proofed a hit for all in our party. We’ll definitely be back to this hidden gem as it has been the most relaxing and stress free holiday we’ve ever had.

A beautiful tranquil location in a quiet part of the Dordogne. Great hosts and a brilliant gite.

Leigh and Dave are really hospitable hosts but also left us alone to enjoy the gite, pools and woodlands. The gite was extremely clean and well equipped. It is spacious and comfortable. The area is brilliant for cycling - quiet roads and beautiful routes.

Great property, really well equipped, lots of garden games, pool and hot tub.

We had.a great stay here, tucked away in a lovely part of France. Our children loved all the toys and games available. The house is well renovated and well equipped. The owners are lovely and are on hand if needed. The on-site restaurant run by the owners was fantastic and appreciated after travelling there. Having a hot tub and pool was great. The property has massive gardens and woodland to explore and situated at the end of a road there was no passing traffic so was safe for our children. Overall we would definitely recommend to all, especially families.

France cycling holiday

Beautiful French farmhouse, set in very tranquil countryside. The accommodation is superbly refurbished & has great facilities but maintains plenty of character, I found it a very relaxing place to be. Highly recommended for a cycling trip or to get away from the pace of everyday life completely unwind.

Fabulous Farmhouse

Wow. This accommodation is outstanding. We booked online from reading reviews and they could not have been more spot on. Everything was perfect. We had 2 one year olds and a 4 year old in our party and the facilities for them were brilliant (Stairgates, highchairs, cots, plastic cutlery and plates). The farmhouse, pool and hot tub were spotless, and Leigh and Dave went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure our holiday was perfect. The pizza night is an absolute must, we all agreed it was the best pizza we had ever eaten! I would 100% not even hesitate to return or recommend to a friend. Thank you Leigh and Dave.

Amazing place

We really struggled to find a great place on the internet and we were so worried after some of the stories we had heard. We needn't have worried, I can assure you this is a home from home, 5 star in our opinion. Beautiful home, garden, space, pool, hot tub and mostly owners Leigh and Dave. You really could not ask for a more wonderful property, setting and welcome. Everything is supplied down to books, games, dvd's etc, just turn up with your clothes and enjoy.

Superb winter break

We have just returned from our first winter break in an area we know well, and visit regularly. We could not have chosen better accommodation for the crisp and chilly temperatures. Right from the outset Leigh and Dave were as warm, welcoming and accommodating as their fabulous farmhouse turned out to be. The farmhouse was kitted out perfectly for winter – a roaring woodburner, cosy duvets and throws, electric radiators in all rooms all made the farmhouse extremely comfortable for a winter stay. All of this, in addition to a beautiful renovation, in immaculate condition with high spec equipment throughout. From the fantastic range cooker, oak kitchen,, ensuite bathrooms and useful utility, every need is catered for which made our visit an absolute pleasure. Looking at the fabulous swimming pool and the lovely private surroundings its clear that the farmhouse would be equally amazing in the summer. If you are looking for French character accommodation at a luxury standard, in a fabulous area with plenty to do, you couldn’t choose better.

Something for everyone!

We had a lovely time in this beautifully restored farmhouse which has the benefits of all mod cons whilst still retaining the character of the 200 year old farmhouse that it is. Very clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The farmhouse is located in a tiny hamlet with wonderful views which makes for a relaxing time if that's what you want but there are plenty of activities on offer too by the owners Leigh and Dave.....'if the kids are happy'!.... and there's a lovely large pool which although heated we weren't brave enough to dive into in April! Not too far away are the pretty old villages of Brantome and Bourdeilles and some lovely lakes with beaches for bathing which are all well worth visiting.. Friday is market day in Brantome. All in all a perfect holiday....thank you Leigh and Dave!
