Oriuolo apartment is an elegant and very comfortable apartment with a surface of more than 100 sq.m. ( sq.ft. 1.076) : 4 large rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 large hall and a long corridor and a beautiful sunny terrace ( 35 mq. sq. ft. 376.)
The best place where to relax after a day spent visiting all the beauties of Florence.
Very well equipped , air conditioned and internet Wi-Fi.
The apartment is on the first floor of a 19th century house, in front of an ancient cloister (13th century) now " Oblate Library and cultural centre".

Its location is in the heart of Florence, 100 meters from the Cathedral and within walking distance from many restaurants, museums, monuments, theatres and the famous fashionable shopping areas.
It is suitable for two couples or a family.
The internal disposition of the rooms allows the best privacy when sharing the apartment.
It has 2 separate bedrooms: the first is a large charming room with a king-sized bed, separated by an entrance and a long corridor from the second, which has cast-iron twin beds. There are 2 bathrooms, both with showers.
The living room has a sofa bed for 2 persons and leads to the beautiful terrace.

Really nice stay in great location

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is right in the heart of Florence. Apartment was well equipped and clean. Front bedroom can get a bit noisy on weekends as closer to the street. Check was easy and owner was pleasant and checked on us if we needed anything. Overall great find.

You will never want to leave....

This apartment is fabulous. Step 1 - First impressions. The location is perfect. Cobbled streets, surrounded by historical buildings, with main attractions within walking distance. So many restaurants and shops to keep you occupied. Step 2 - The minute you open the front door, the wow factor hits you. Very spacious, beautifully decorated and has all your holiday requirements. The courtyard area is delightful. A perfect place to sit with friends enjoying a glass of wine, and listen to the church bells. Laura, the owner, takes time to meet you to ensure you have everything you need. We stayed one week, next time we will stay longer.

Well equipped and ideally located

We spent a very enjoyable week at this delightful apartment, which is well equipped and ideally located. The air conditioning in the bedrooms and living room are effective and quiet.and the terrace includes plenty of optional shade from a parasol and electrically operated awning - a real boon in hot weather. The Duomo is 200 metres away and the Uffizzi and Accademia galleries, Santa Maria Novella, the Medici chapels and Santa Croce are within a kilometre. There are supermarkets and a wide range of restaurants with excellent food in easy walking distance. We can strongly recommend the apartment.

Wonderful!

My son and I stayed at this property and could not have been happier! The charming owner, Laura, was incredibly kind and even tried to find crutches for my son, who was injured. The apartment was roomy and lovely. It had everything we needed. It was extremely well located in the center of Florence, but it was not noisy because it was on a fairly quiet street, near a library. What was also wonderful was the pleasant terrace. I can't recommend this apartment highly enough!

The location is outstanding. Everything is walking distance. The apartment is spacious with a wonderful balcony. The hosts are amazing. They gave very useful travel tips. Coming and going. We had trouble securing a taxi big enough for our luggage so my wife and son went in a taxi and Laura’s husband gave us a ride to the train station. We would stay there again for sure. If this apartment is an available, book it now.

you can expect a five star property

The apartment in Florence was even better than the photographs. Laura met us there when we arrived and walked us through how everything worked. She even accompanied us to the supermarket with a shopping cart which is just a block away. The apartment is spacious and spotless. There are ample linens and bath towels. The beds are comfortable, and sheets are crisp and soft. Bathrooms are perfectly adequate. The kitchen is very well supplied with lots of pots, pans, utensils etc. And of course the terrace is as lovely as pictured. Sunny from noon till 5:00. Colorful flowers and the chirpings of birds makes it an idyll when you return after a hard day of sight seeing. The location couldn't be better. As soon as you come up the street, the duomo looms. Perfect landmark from anywhere in the city. And yet, it is a quiet street opposite a well manicured park and library. MY husband fell and needed medical attention. Laura came to access the situation and even made an appointment for him to have an X-Ray the following morning. She is an attentive host who is there if you need her. We will definitely come back here when we return to Florence.

Fabulous Week in Florence for a Family of Four

We cannot say enough positive things about our stay at this apartment in Florence. From the reservation process, the check in, the actual stay and the check out. Laura and her husband met us at the apartment when we arrived and allowed for us to check in early. They greeted us with a bottle of wine and a giant chocolate Easter egg. They proceeded to go through instructions for all of the appliances, etc. All of the basic necessities were supplied; bottled water, coffee, detergent, dish soap, paper products, etc. The terrace is easily assessable and stunning. There is a lift available which we used to take our luggage up and down, as well as groceries. The owners even provide a foldable grocery cart on wheels which came in very handy. The location was central and convenient to everything in the heart of Florence. We were able to walk everywhere and the location allowed for us to stop back into the apartment during the day if we wanted to drop things off or have a respite. We look forward to booking this apartment again in the future. Laura made sure that we had her number and communicated with us during the week. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up to go to the airport. Thank you Laura and Gabriele!

WONDERFUL!

Our family had such an amazing stay at this beautiful apartment. Just as all the reviews say, Laura is the best and warmest host. She greeted our family, took us to an amazing restaurant for our first dinner, and genuinely cared and looked after us during our stay. The apartment is so spacious, clean, amazing location, and has all the amenities you would ever want. We can't wait to go back to Florence and to also see Laura again :)

Excellent apartment in unbeatable location

Walk out the front door, turn left and within 100 yards you are at the Duomo and other must see sites, as well as great restaurants, trattorias, gelato shops, and all that Old Florence has to offer. The apartment is well appointed, very clean, and all rooms have A/C. Laura is a wonderful host and gave us some excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to pick up groceries and wine, etc. we had a great ten days and would come back and do it again in a heartbeat! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the outdoor patio/terrace - a great place to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening.

HEAVEN'S PATIO

Necessary supplies are provided. The location is magnificent as it is a short walk to the Duomo. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and a great small supermarket named Conad's a short walk away. The best part of the stay was the apartment had a lovely patio on which we had meals and shared adult beverages. The only drawback to the location was a scarcity of taxicabs. Our numerous calls to different drivers went unanswered and the APPS were unreliable at best in our experience over a 10 day period of time. Laura went out of her way to call on our behalf. Without her intervention, we were out of luck. We befriended a few locals at nearby shops who told us the taxicab people do not answer the phone if the origin number is not local.

Wonderful apartment

We stayed eight nights and loved. It’s exactly the type of property I would want to own and live in. We walked out of the building to a street view of The Duomo and were within 15-20 minute walks to all main historic sites. Our hostess greeted us as we arrived and got us settled in. She responded quickly when we had a problem with the bathroom and made sure we had our taxi reserved and on time for our departure. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Florence.

Perfecto! Ten stars!

The lovely large apartment is even better than the description! It is perfect for families or two couples traveling together with two large bedrooms, two bathrooms and fully appointed gourmet kitchen, sitting room and lovely outdoor patio that is an oasis after a day of sightseeing. Our hosts, Laura and Gabriele, generously greeted us on site, gave us a full tour and orientation to the property and then walked us to our dinner location which Laura had kindly reserved in advance. We felt so taken care of! Laura even included a chocolate Easter egg for my daughter and a bottle of Prosecco for us. The back patio with gorgeous plants and a fruited lemon tree was our favorite spot to hangout as a family, so much so we often rushed back from the tourist attractions to catch the special 2-4 pm sun. We thoroughly enjoyed preparing our own meals and with the grocery store only a short walk away, everything was so easy. If we could given this spot 10 stars we would. We will be back! Thank you Laura and Gabriele!

My New Friends in Florence

Most tourists I met during my month-long stay in Florence were there for only 2-3 days. They were so busy juggling maps, cameras, museum brochures and restrictive itineraries that they had little time to appreciate Florence’s greatest asset - its people. I had been one of those tourists for four previous trips. My husband and I thought of Florence as the perfect place to wrap up a longer stay in another part of Italy. This September, as an 80-year-old widow, I found the Saint’ Ambrogio apartment to be the perfect place for immersion into the community. Laura and her husband Gabriel were perfect hosts. After introducing me to what would become my home away from home, Laura familiarized me with the nearby grocery store and my new neighborhood. She proudly showed off the building’s new elevator. Laura and Gabriel became my first friends in Florence. Within a month, I felt like a true resident. I knew how to find the best bargains while grocery shopping, and how to sort out and recycle the trash. Shopkeepers and I became fast friends, and we shared countless stories about our lives and families. The fifth generation, older owner of a handmade paper shop recalled how, when he was 18-years-old, he decided not to carry on the family tradition but later changed his mind. The owner of a gift shop and I would laugh at the antics of his toddler son, who was being raised surrounded by refrigerator magnets of the Duomo, Silky Florentine scarves and leather purses. I didn’t know a single person in Florence before I went there, but by the end of one month, the names and phone contacts of new friends seem countless. The neighborhood felt very safe, both night and day. My wonderful apartment was beautifully decorated and spacious. I miss opening the windows to the street below and listening to the sounds of life in Florence - the welcoming, warm sounds of its people.

Wonderful Apartment!

My 21 year old son and I came to Florence before my son began his semester abroad there. The apartment was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we would need on our stay. The location was perfect to get around the city and within walking distance to all the sites, and the outdoor terrace was perfect to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings. Laura was so wonderful in meeting us when we arrived at the apartment and giving us great tips on our stay. She and her husband Gabriele were so gracious and kind! A perfect way to stay in the beautiful city of Firenze!

Fantastic Florence Place

Laura is a very nice and resourceful person. She helped us with finding a camp for kids and a parking place. The apartment is gorgeous!!!!

Highly Recommended

We were delighted with our stay and highly recommend the accommodations. Laura met us at the apartment and gave us a thorough overview of the workings of the apartment. She checked in with us during the week to ensure all was going well. She walked us down the street and introduced us at a restaurant and made a second recommendation for Ristorante Natalino which was very good. A taxi strike meant we had no way to get to the airport for a very early return flight. Laura was a lifesaver. She proactively called in a favor and found us a driver. The accommodations were everything you could want. The lift meant getting luggage up to the first floor was easy. Air conditioning in both bedrooms and living room meant you had a cool retreat from the blistering heat of the day. The location is just a short walking distance from the sights and a grocery, but still quiet. Kitchen is well equipped.

We love to travel and meet new people. We live in Florence, not too far from Oriuolo Street.

The location allowes you to visit Florence without any difficulties, enjoing to be near to all you "must" see in town!
The apartment lets you feel like to be at home: paintings on the wall are belonging to the family and some made by my husband's father.
So an important part of us, of our feeling and way to live is reflected in Oriuolo apartment.

The terrace offers you a quiete place where you will relax enjoing the sun and that special feeling that only in some hidden corner of Florence you can still find.
The new small LIFT( not suitable for wheellchair) is an important plus in the historic center of the city as well the terracce.
The location wich is unique near to the Duomo, museums, shopping area. etc.
