Rocksalt ist unser schönes Ferienhaus mit 4 Schlafzimmern, etwas außerhalb von Rock an der Nordküste von Cornwall. Das Haus wurde 2008 auf sehr hohem Standard erbaut und eingerichtet. Es befindet sich in einer herrlichen Umgebung mit weitreichendem Blick über die Landschaft von Cornwall und ist nur wenige Autominuten von Rock entfernt, wo Wasserski und Paddle-Boarding angeboten werden, dem Surfstrand von Polzeath und kinderfreundlicher Daymer Bay Strand.

Die Unterkunft ist hell und luftig und verfügt über 4 große Schlafzimmer mit 2 Badezimmern und 1 Familienbadezimmer. eine offene Luxusküche / Lounge / Essbereich, die sehr gut ausgestattet ist mit großen bequemen Sofas, einem Flachbild-HD-TV und allem Komfort. Es gibt einen nach Süden ausgerichteten Garten (der vollständig gesichert ist, da er vorne und hinten eingezäunt ist) mit einem Grill aus weber Holzkohle und einer Außendusche für heiße und kalte Surfer.

Das Haus ist nicht nur gut an zahlreiche schöne Strände angebunden, sondern in der Nähe befinden sich auch vier hervorragende Golfplätze sowie eine Vielzahl weiterer Aktivitäten wie Surfen, Wasserski fahren, Kajak fahren, Radfahren, Segeln und Tennis. Zu den Tagesausflügen gehört das malerische Fischerdorf Port Isaac (Drehort der Fernsehserie Doc Martin). Padstow mit seinen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und hervorragenden Restaurants, darunter Rick Steins berühmtes 'Seafood Restaurant' (die Wasserfähre fährt tagsüber ständig von Rock nach Padstow); Der malerische Kamelradweg von Bodmin nach Padstow über Wadebridge (ideal für alle Altersgruppen und einfach zu organisierender Fahrradverleih) und etwas weiter entfernt das weltberühmte Eden-Projekt. Barthek!

Barthek means wonderful in Cornish. I stay in rental properties often, usually arranging week-long vacations with family and friends. RockSalt is among the very best. Plenty of space, iconic view of the Cornish countryside, equipped with everything (and it all worked easily.) We had no hassles and the owner answered our questions quickly and throughly, obviously wanting us to have a wonderful time in a wonderful area of Cornwall.

Great property.

We loved our stay at the property. It is a good size, is well decorated, great lay out and high quality furnishing. The location worked for us, close to Polzeath, Rock and Wadebridge, yet out of the way enough to be away from the crowds. Initially we wondered whether being on a site of holiday homes would be a problem, but it was quiet and all the other holiday makers were respectful. There is a good set up. The house itself is a really good size and it is the little things that make a difference; three large comfy sofas; neff appliances; big comfy beds; powerful showers; plenty of plates and cutlery; outside shower to clean beach gear. There is also a utility room to put beach towels, swimwear etc. The outside space is good. The table could be a little bigger, but we only used a couple of times. The field at the back which is advertised as a space the kids can play is currently uncut, but makes for a nice view of wild flowers and long grass. If I could add one small thing: a downstairs separate toilet, but that would be being picky on an overall excellent 10 star property. Would defo stay again if in the area.

Fabulous property

We have been visiting Cornwall for many years, staying close to Rock and padstow, Rocksalt has been by far our favourite stay. The location is great, just a stones throw from Rock where there’s a quick boat trip across to padstow or a quick drive to Polzeath. The property was immaculately clean and tidy, lots of space for our family, plenty of outdoor space to relax and for the kids to play. Communication with Ros was great, a quick note to make sure we were happy with everything was appreciated. Overall a great stay at a lovely property, hope to be back soon.

Three generation visit to Cornwall

We had plenty of space for our family of seven and thoroughly enjoyed the view from this well thought out retreat with comfortable seating for all. The children enjoyed the yard toys left for them and the adults enjoyed having a well stocked kitchen to enjoy some meals in. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. Great location for visiting Polzeath beach and Tintagel Castle. Don’t forget to sample the Cornwall Pastis!

Clean & comfortable in great location

We had a lovely stay at Rocksalt. The accommodation is spacious , very clean & comfortable and in a great location for visiting this part of north Cornwall . Kitchen is very well equipped for self catering with lots of pots/ pans and good supply of crockery & glasses. Great appliances too! Communication with owner was excellent, who was very helpful & accomodating. Will definitely visit again and would recommend to family & friends.

This is a fantastic house for our family of 6. Great sized bedrooms, good sized living room and great south facing back garden. The house is in a perfect position to get to Rock within 5 mins drive and Port Isaac in 15 mins. Would highly recommend!!

Great stay in Cornwall

Lovely house, well maintained and well equipped, with plenty of space for our family of five. Nice garden, comfy beds and good showers. Also an outside shower to wash away sand from the beach. We really appreciated the evening breeze after the warm daytimes. Only thing to mention is that the bedroom blinds are not blackout (venetian) so bring an eye mask if you like it very dark to sleep. Good location, nowhere reachable on foot but many places just a short drive away. Would love to return some time.

Spacious family holiday home

Clean, well furnished, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so great for extended family. Lovely quiet location with views over the Camel Valley. Close to Rock and Wadebridge but a car is necessary as the roads are not great for walking or cycling. Well equipped and spacious kitchen, which was great for sharing the cooking, BBQ for the dry days! Comfy beds, lots of sofas, exactly what we were looking for.

Amazing short break

This amazing property was perfect in every way for our first family break for over two years. Ros was the ideal host, keeping us fully informed from the point of booking and all through our stay, with an extra nice bottle wine surprise waiting upon our arrival. The property has been built and furnished to very standards, which is also matched with the cleanliness. The locations is idyllic, with incredible views (especially for those early morning coffee’s), and also as a launch point for visiting all those fabulous places within Cornwall. Can’t recommend this property enough, excellent value for money.

Loved it!!

This is a stunning property and the pictures are an accurate reflection. Everything is top end with Neff appliances in kitchen. The furnishings are lovely and beds were really comfortable. Ros had thought of everything and then some!! We were 6 mature adults there to play golf and walk. The property would work very well for families as well. We are looking to return at the same time next year. Thanks Ros for a fantastic stay

Wonderful house in a lovely area of Cornwall.

Very spacious bedrooms with excellent bathrooms with two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor which perfectly suited our family with an age range of 38 years to 85 years young. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Large open plan dining and lounge area with countryside views leading out on to a large patio area. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when visiting the area. Note: If you are looking for a detached property in it’s own grounds then this may not be for you as it is on the end of a row of other cottages with Rock Salt appearing to be the largest. This though does not change the fact that Rock Salt is a wonderful property.

Comfortable and spacious house

We (2 families with small children) enjoyed our stay at RockSalt. It was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The kids loved running around in the garden and the adjacent field. The owner was very helpful with many questions that we had before we came. There are so many attractions in the area that we will have to come back! Beaches are about 5-10 min drive depending on where you go.

My husband, Simon, and I were lucky enough to fulfil our dream and buy RockSalt in 2008. We both grew up in the west country and co-incidentally spent many holidays as children in and around Rock and Polzeath and wanted our children to grow up with the same happy memories. Hannah and Tom now have the same love of Cornwall as we have and although they have outgrown the bucket and spade days on the beach, they now love surfing, wake-boarding, walking and the fabulous food on offer from pasties in the Rock bakery to Rick Stein's fish and chips in Padstow.

We fell in love with RockSalt as it is situated right in the middle of our favourite part of Cornwall and is modern and very light and airy and has fantastic countryside views towards Wadebridge.

RockSalt enjoys a quiet countryside setting yet is only a short drive from Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay. Our home is furnished and equipped to a very high standard - towels are provided and beds are made-up for your arrival so that you can begin your holiday as soon as you arrive. A completely enclosed garden with BBQ is ideal to sit in during summer evenings and for children to play in.
