Winkle Cottage - Meer- und Hafenblick

Winkle Hütte ist ein 1800's Fischerhütte in den Brixham Hang eingebettet, Blick nach Norden über die Bucht in Richtung Torquay und hinaus zum Meer. Das Anwesen wurde im Jahre 2017 einer umfangreichen Restaurierung unterzogen und wurde liebevoll in sympathischer Weise restauriert und beherbergt Reichtum an Charme und Charakter. Die Hütte verfügt über eine Fülle von Original-Features, einschließlich ausgesetzt Steinmauern, 2 Feature-Kamine und eine fantastische Sonnenterrasse mit Blick auf die Hafenschüssel und offenen Ozean.

Ein 2-minütiger Spaziergang von der Haustür und Sie sind Kai, mit einer Fülle von traditionellen Gasthöfen, Cocktail Bars, Bistros und Restaurants. Ein kurzer Spaziergang weiter und du bist am Strand und Meerwasser Lido, mit Berry Head Nature Reserve und St. Mary's Bay und abgelegenen Strand auch zu Fuß erreichbar.

Winkle Hütte bietet eine fantastische Basis für Tagesaktivitäten und Abendunterhaltung, mit vielen Festivals und Veranstaltungen bringen Einheimische und Touristen zusammen, um eine fantastische Atmosphäre zu bieten. Seien Sie sicher zu überprüfen, was ist auf 'bei der Planung Ihres Urlaubs.

Pleasant little property close to the main town. Parking is a major issue with very little parking close to the property on many occasions. Although a short walk from the main town the area is very steep and is not suitable for anyone not fit and able. The hosts of the property were very responsive with messages and accurate and slick at check in. We did however find the accommodation not a clean in arrival as some other properties we have stayed in. The fridge and freezer was not turned on for arrival and no simple cleaning products left for the start of the stay. We did enjoy our week we would choose this property again when booking for next years trip.

Lovely cottage in a fabulous location

We loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to return. The cottage is in a great location with stunning views and is really comfortable with lovely decor. The host was very patient and helpful with the booking process, which I was even more grateful for when I saw what a lovely place we had to stay in.

Lovely little character cottage, great location, parking little tight in places, first come, first served. Fantastic views of the whole harbour. Plenty of eatery's in the town, lovely coastal walks.

The cottage was very clean and the beds very comfortable. Brixham harbor is only 5 minutes walk.

Perfect gem

This beautifully presented holiday cottage was so clean and fresh I think we must have been the first people in. Everything you need for a comfortable stay from the large comfortable sofas and beds to the lovely rain shower and fluffy towels. The cottage has a small very well equipped kitchen, Large living room with smart telly etc, but for us the patio area overlooking the harbour with the sun all day long was the best. We would definitely like to return to winkle cottage again soon.

Fabulous house in a fabulous location!

Stayed for 1 week in April. Proximity to Brixham harbour is fantastic. We enjoyed strolls down to the front and along the coast in both directions. House is well equipped and decorated well. It was lovely to sit on the front terrace with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. The house is in a very peaceful location despite the closeness to town. We can highly recommend Liberty’s cocktail bar for a Pina Colada or two and their cakes are fab too. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Shoals restaurant whilst watching seals in the water. A fantastic stay - thank you!

Beautiful comfortable harbour cottage

Great cottage with fantastic sunrises and sunsets. Very comfortable lounge and bedrooms with an easy style throughout. Well considered holiday home in a fabulous location. Plenty to see and do and all from a great cottage that feels like a home from home. Would definitely recommend and revisit - Brixham has so much to offer from the engaging harbour to fantastic food and a beautical walks to coves and bays.

Charming period cottage - stunning views

This charming property which has been sympathetically restored, was clean, well maintained, had every convenience you could wish for in a home away from home. All the shops, cafes, bars and harbour attractions were within a short walk and the atmosphere in Brixham was most welcoming. We will be back and hope that Winkle cottage is available when we do, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Property & Location - Fabulous Holiday

The Property is in a great location, just a short walk from the shops, restaurants and the sea. From the terrace you can see right over the harbour which is stunning at night with all the lights. The decor is modern and done to a high standard, all our needs for a relaxing break were catered for. The property is child friendly so no issues if you have little ones running around. It was clean and well maintained, we would highly recommend this property and happily send our friends & family there. We had a fab holiday *

We would definitely come back some other time!

The house is a newly renovated lovely cottage at Brixham's hill at the harbor. You have great views from the house across the harbor and the whole town, even across the bay to Torquay. The house is well equipped and comfortable. We stayed with four people, which was ideal. You have all comfort with smart TV (2), Bluetooth speakers and good wifi. The beds are really comfy and the house has been tastefully decorated. All shops and restaurants are close by. Be aware though in Brixham you always have to walk up and down the hills. You can drive up to the house. The upper part of North View Road gets quite narrow between houses and parked cars. We almost got stuck with our SUV. Better just back up the short bit to the house and then park in the wider streets above like Mount Road. There are always some parking spaces there and they are free. We really liked the cottage and would definitely come back some other time.

This Place Is Great!

This place is great. It's a short walk to the town/harbour (albeit on some steep steps!) which contains lots of great restaurants and pubs. It has been very recently refurbished and contains everything you need right down to a beautiful bottle opener from harrods! It was more than we could have asked and was ideal for us as a family with 2 small children. Brixham itself is a lovely town with a proper fishing industry at its core. The stand out feature for me was the unpretentious, fresh flavoursome and fishy food. Would definitely visit winkle cottage again.

I am a primary school teacher, a full-time mother of 3 and proud to offer Winkle Cottage for the enjoyment of others. My partner John and I lovingly renovated this property returning it to it's former glory and have fully equipped the cottage for our family. We love to hear feedback from our guests and continuously look to improve the cottage to give future guests the best possible experience.

Quiet no-through road location. Incredible views of the town, the harbour, across Torbay and out to sea. A spacious but cosy traditional fisherman's cottage which is immaculately presented, meticulously clean and fully equipped with everything for all guests, be that for family holidays or couples looking for a romantic getaway.

We appreciate how difficult holidaying with children can be, so the cottage is equipped with retractable baby gates and 2x toy chests to keep young children safe and entertained.
