"Our Guernville Cabin"

This stay marked my 2nd in 3months time. I loved it so much in March with my immediate family, I just had to share this beautiful little cabin with my extended Family when it came time to celebrate a family wedding in Occidental. It provided, both times, the perfect place to visit and enjoy all the richness Sonoma County has to offer. Good times and memories were made there. It was magical to be nestled amongst the Redwoods. Waking up to these beautiful trees right outside our windows was such a treat. Many of the trees were hugged there. The hot tub, hammock, gas fireplace, deck and kitchen were well utilized by us all. Our Baby Sissy, Niece and now 2 Great Nephews recently relocated to Sebistobol. There's absolutely no need to look any further; we look forward to our next stay in "our little red house." Magical Forest

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Red House Plus was located in a fantastic spot, in what felt like a magical redwood forest. The decor and furniture is great, the kitchen is well-stocked with all the appliances you need. The hot tub worked perfectly, as did the fire table. Two issues, in case you end up staying in the bottom room as well. There is almost no sound insulation, so if you’re in the downstairs room with the separate entrance (which is only rented out in conjunction w the upstairs) then you will hear every step people take upstairs. Not a problem since they’re your group, but we had children with us who woke up at 6 am and we were up then too. Another issue is towels: there were 7 of us (and we let the management company know) and there were only 6 towels. They make it clear that you need your own towels for the hot tub, which we had, but if you’re staying for three nights you’re going to need more than one towel per person. Also, they provided only one tiny sliver of bar soap per bathroom and only 6 dishwasher pods/detergent. This doesn’t detract from the fantastic place, which we would rent again in a heartbeat and have recommended to all our friends. It just gives the impression that the rental management company is somewhat cheap, despite the pretty hefty charge for the rental.

Charming house in the redwoods!

This vacation rental offers a cozy escape filled with charm and character. If you're looking for a retreat that's both inviting and whimsical, this is the place for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wanted to suggest updating the property photos to reflect the fantastic furniture arrangement and decorations. The current setup adds a lot of charm and character to the space, and we believe updated photos would better showcase its appeal to potential guests. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would love to see the property accurately represented in its listing photos. While our stay was enjoyable overall, we did encounter a couple of issues in the kitchen that could use attention before the next guests arrive. Firstly, the water kettle handle was broken, which made it difficult to use safely. Additionally, we found that there were no unused sponges or a new dish scrubber available upon our arrival, prompting us to purchase our own. Ensuring these items are replaced and readily available for guests would greatly enhance the overall experience. Upon leaving, we observed a broken window in what appeared to be the owner's storage space. Unfortunately, we were unable to inspect it closely. While this didn't directly impact our stay, it's worth addressing to maintain the property's integrity and security. Thanks again for a charming experience :)

Great Cabin!

To celebrate my 50th bday, my friends and I stayed in Guerneville to enjoy the Russian River. Our stay in the cabin was great, we enjoyed the birds, the tall trees, and the hot tub. There was some construction going on across the road, but we were out and about town, so it wasn't an issue. The river, the redwoods, and the beach were all very close to where we stayed- it was really convenient. The host was very responsive and the place was a cute home away from home.

just an amazing house amongst redwoods

This house was super cute and had a ton of amenities. I really loved swinging in the hammock and staring up at the redwoods. Communication with the team was great. We would really love to return.

Great stay!

The property was great. The only note for someone reading a review is that you do have to be able to handle stairs as the property is on a hill with 2-3 flights of stairs to the front door. Otherwise it was perfection! Easy communication, and everything we needed was there.

Cool cabin, “okish” neighborhood.

Cabin was cool, had all the necessary kitchen and cooking supplies. Location was ok, neighborhood a little run down but doesn’t really take away from the cabin. As constructive feedback, there seems to be high or unnecessary fees associated with this rental. But it’s California so I guess its expected.

Perfect for Two Families!

We wanted the kids to be able to play together while the parents caught up, cooked, relaxed and did a little remote work when needed. The Little Red House was absolutely perfect for this! The neighborhood was cute, quiet and had friendly neighbors. We walked dogs, used the grill, and the kids got to do a little safe exploring nearby. Minutes from Monte Rio, Occidental and of course Guerneville itself, we had so many opportunities to adventure together and really soaked in the time. Would definitely recommend/return!

Delightful forest getaway

We loved staying in this charming home in a quiet neighborhood. Redwoods tower all around. The house was comfortable and well-equipped. We rented the whole house and with four bedrooms, everyone had the space they need. Check in was straightforward, lights and music were on to welcome us. The hot tub was a treat, very easy to use and in such a serene setting. Lots of great hikes available in the area - don’t miss Armstrong Preserve!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed seven nights in The Little Red House Plus and absolutely loved it! I was worried it would not be as nice as it looks in the photos, but it did not disappoint. The house and the setting are stunning! The wow-factor is definitely there! The entire place was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked for making our own meals and the gas grill worked well. The beds were very comfortable, the water pressure in the showers was good and the Wifi speed was fast. We enjoyed evenings sitting on the deck, in the hot tub or inside by the fireplace. The central location was convenient for day trips to Sonoma, Napa, and the coast. It was a quick walk across the street to the golf course, coffee shop, and restaurant. Management was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The only negative aspect are the excessive fees charged, which are disclosed when making your reservation, so there are no surprises. I’m ready to reserve my next stay!

One long, perfect weekend in a perfect place

I loved it the minute I saw it online, and I loved it even more once we figured out where to park the cars! (that is one thing that needs a bit more definition, for those arriving after dark, especially!). There was no attention to detail overlooked- lovely, warm atmosphere, thick, cushy beds, great appliances, nice fireplace, great outdoor space, and the huge, full, green lovely redwoods. It was absolutely perfect, close to the main street, close to Safeway, restaurants, the ocean, the wineries. Honestly, I can't recommend it highly enough. I cannot wait to return. It was a little bit o' heaven in a little bit o' heaven.
