Diese geräumige 3-stöckige Villa ("The Cliffhouse") befindet sich direkt am Wasser an der Mündung der ruhigen und idyllischen Bucht von Zaton, nur wenige Autominuten von der historischen Altstadt von Dubrovnik entfernt und bietet die spektakulärste Aussicht auf Dalmatien Küste.

Das Cliffhouse hat einen privaten Zugang zum Meer und ein wunderschönes Schwimmbecken. Selbst in der Hochsaison können Sie sich abseits der Massen im Meer erfrischen und entspannen oder auf einer unserer 3 Panoramaterrassen oder 4 weiteren Gartenterrassen mit Feigen-, Pflaumen-, Zitronen- und Mandarinenbäumen entspannen. Die Villa verfügt über eine helle offene Küche, ein Esszimmer und eine Lounge mit Blick auf die Bucht und das offene Meer. 4 klimatisierte Doppelzimmer, alle mit Meerblick, 3 Badezimmer sowie ein zusätzliches WC. Wifi zur Verfügung gestellt. Privater Parkplatz.

Ein Aufenthalt im Cliffhouse ist der perfekte Weg, um die Ruhe und die natürliche Schönheit der Küste mit den Kirchen, Klöstern, Brunnen, Cafés, Restaurants und dem raffinierten Nachtleben von Dubrovnik zu verbinden. Die nahe gelegenen Inseln erreichen Sie bequem mit der Fähre.

Das Haus bietet Platz für bis zu 8 Personen. Aufgrund der Anzahl der Stufen vom Parkplatz zum Haus und hinunter zum Schwimmbereich ist das Cliffhouse möglicherweise nicht für Personen geeignet, die Schwierigkeiten mit Treppen haben.

What a view!

Wir waren hier als Freundesgruppe und haben eine wunderschöne Woche in dem Haus verbracht. Die Zimmer sind toll eingerichtet, die Küche hat alles was man braucht. Der Ausblick ist unfassbar schön (mit Sonnenuntergang). Der Pool ist zwar etwas kleiner, als wir ihn auf den Fotos erwartet hatten, aber auf jeden Fall ausreichend. Zum richtigen Schwimmen kann man nämlich die Treppe runter zum privaten Meereszugang nehmen. Du solltest kein Problem mit Treppen steigen haben, sonst könnte es schwierig werden bei dem Haus ;) Am einfachsten ist man mit einem Auto da, wir hatten keinen Mietwagen und haben Einkäufe und Trips mit Uber gemacht. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und sind sehr dankbar für die schöne Woche, die wir hier hatten! :)

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit, vielen Dank!

Das Haus ist super aufgeteilt, mit einer tollen Terasse, einem schönen Pool und einem eigenen Zugang zum Meer. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Anstrengend waren die vielen Treppenstufen hinauf zum Auto, insbesondere um Einkäufe für acht Personen ins Haus zu schleppen. Aber so kann man auch im Urlaub etwas Sport treiben :-) Alles in allem ein rundum gelungener Urlaub.

Mehr "Schein" als "Sein".

Die Aussicht von dem Haus ist wie beschrieben sehr schön. Die Beschreibung im Übrigen entspricht aber nur eingeschränkt den Tatsachen: Das Haus bedarf an zahlreichen Stellen einer Sanierung. Bei Ankunft war die Spülmaschine defekt und verschmutzt. Ein Austausch fand nach 5 Tagen statt, ohne das der korrekte Einbau bis zur Abreise erfolgt ist. Die Gläser waren sämtlich blind. 12 Gläser erhielten wir neu. Es gibt kein einheitliches Geschirr für 8 Personen (z.B. nur 4 Eierbecher vorhanden). Die Küchenausstattung ist insgesamt keiner professionellen Vermietung angemessen. Der Essbereich im Haus verfügt nur über 6 Plätze. Die dort befindliche Stereoanlage ist vollkommen kaputt. In den Zimmern befinden sich Gartenmöbel, in einem Zimmer gibt es nur eine Kleiderstange und keinen Kleiderschrank, insgesamt also keine angemessene Einrichtung. An vielen Stellen im Haus befinden sich private Utensilien (Kleiderboxen unter Betten etc.), eine „Rumpelkammer“ wird nur durch einen Vorhang von einem Zimmer abgetrennt. 2 Bäder verfügen über Badewannen ohne jegliche Duschabtrennung. In einem Bad ist nur einer von 4 Licht-Spots funktionsfähig. Das hat sich bis zur Abreise nicht geändert, da der Fehler in der Elektrik liegt. Die Badematten in einem Bad waren total verschmutzt und wurden ausgetauscht. In einem Zimmer fehlen Lamellen in den Fensterläden. In einem anderen Zimmer lässt sich die defekte Balkontüre nicht öffnen. Es gibt 4 Gartenliegen für 8 Personen. Die Polster für die Gartenmöbel sind verfleckt. Es gibt keinen dem Haus zugewiesenen Parkplatz! Die sog. „Slip-Road“ ist tatsächlich ein von der Hauptstraße abgehender, schmaler Schotterweg. Darauf können größere Autos nur hintereinander stehen (Passieren unmöglich). Man teilt sich diese Fläche mit den Bewohnern des Nachbarhauses und ist gezwungen, sich mit diesen abzusprechen. Es wäre schön, wenn das Haus – wie das Nachbarhaus – wegen der zahlreichen Stufen zum Parkplatz ebenfalls über einen Lastenaufzug verfügen würde. Insgesamt ist in das Haus, seine Ausstattung und auf dem Grundstück noch einiges zu investieren, bis der Begriff „moderne Villa“ gerechtfertigt sind. Daher nur 2 Sterne. Dr. Peter Hoh-Malewski

Best VRBO we have ever had (and we have rented dozens all over the world!)

There is no way to describe this rental and do it any Justice. The photos do not convey the uniqueness of this property. I will detail the house but adding details on reasons you might hesitate to book first (and why you shouldn’t). FIRST the stairs are not a big deal if you are physically fit. I was a little stressed as we traveled w my parents who are in their 70s and our young sons and it was perfectly fine. I expected them to be much more intense based on the reviews. Next UBER was extremely easy and always available. But more importantly there is a bus stop adjacent to the road on the top of the property so pick up was not only easy it was extremely safe (and we had two young boys 5&4 w us so this was such a great surprise). It is very close to Old town (and Ubers were cheap). The house was extremely clean and the layout was great for a family spread over two floors. There are two master suites so no one feel like they don’t get a great experience if you went w two families or two couples. We spent our time either on the porch, by the pool or down on the cove w a private entrance to the water. The swimming was very calm in the sea all but one day and it was still easy to get in and out (even for the kids). Running out of room but the boat/cave tour was awesome (that they arranged for us), and there is an easy way to get to a GREAT beach which has two restaurants without walking on the road at all! Best VRBO of our lives! We’ll be back!

Amazing stay - highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cliffhouse in August 2022. We were welcomed with a tour of the property, as well as a complimentary fruit platter and bottle of local wine. The location was perfect for our first trip to Dubrovnik. Away from the hustle and bustle of the old town but only a short Uber ride away! We had stunning views from the terraces, balconies and newly fitted swimming pool. Perfect spot for sunset, watching the boats go by and we even spotted Dolphins one morning! The Villa was well kept, clean and had everything you’d need. Great communication with the owner Charles in the run up to the trip who ensured we had all the relevant details. Adrian, the property manager was super friendly and always available to answer any questions we had throughout our holiday. For those worrying about the stairs - there are a lot of steps but if you take your time they are manageable. Adrian also helped to carry our luggage up the stairs on our departure which we really appreciated. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would recommend the Cliffhouse to anyone!

Location fantastic but the property is tired. At this level there should at least be a coffee machine that works, The furniture is old. That said the views are amazing and should not put anyone off staying here. With a very little investment this villa could be 5 star.

Fantastisk ferie i et skønt hus

Vi havde taget børn og svigerbørn med på ferie til Kroatien. Huset var perfekt indrettet til 8 personer, og lå med en fantastisk udsigt over Zaton-bugten. De mange trapper var en udfordring, men var samtidig gøg træning. Vi nød i fulde drag, at vi havde egen adgang til vandet, og kunne svømme og springe fra klipperne helt uforstyrret. Den store terrasse var vores base, Her kunne vi nyde udsigten mens vi spiste, spillede spil eller blot nød solen. Afstanden til Dubrovnik er overskuelig. Man kan tage en taxi for omkring 200 kr. eller hoppe på den lokale bus . I øvrigt kan vi varmt anbefale den lokale familierestaurent "Veranda", som serverede fantastiske lokale retter for os. Huset kan varmt anbefales, men det kræver som sagt nogle gode ben.

Perfect setting

We very much enjoyed our stay at the property. We didn't mind the steps. Having access to the water was ideal. Swimming and snorkeling from the rocks was great. The views from the terraces and balconies are impressive. We often didn't want to leave for side trips since we enjoyed relaxing at the house so much. You need a car to get to the grocery store. You can walk to the local restaurants in Stikovica. A few negatives. The kitchen has some water damage at the walls/cabinets. Moisture must be coming in from the exterior. I didn't find the beds comfortable on the third floor. These negatives wouldn't prevent me from renting again.

Wonderful stay!!

We had a wonderful stay here! Close to Dubrovnik, but far enough away to have your own space away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property manager, Adrian, was extremely helpful with check in and giving us an overview of the property. He was also very accessible for questions afterwards. We rented a car and were easily able to drive to Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina!

traumhafte Lage; auf 2 Stockwerken jeweils 2 Schlafzimmer mit eigenen Bädern; ein Zimmer mit eigener Dusche; jeweils mit Terrasse bzw. Balkon; Klimaanlage sehr angenehm; darunter der große Wohn-Essbereich mit großer Terrasse, die durch Steinmauer und Geländer gesichert ist, was wir, da wir mit eineinhalbjährigem Kind da waren, sehr stressfrei fanden. Der Blick von den Terrassen in die Bucht mit den einfahrenden Kreuzfahrtschiffen einfach sensationell. Eigener Meerzugang über die Steilklippe empfand unsere 10 jährige als besonderes Highlight. Fußläufig (10 Min.) Stikovica mit flachem Strand für Kleinkinder und guter Gastronomie. aus unserer Sicht ein absolutes Muss ein Ausflug nach Bosnien-Herzegowina (Mostar) und für Weinliebhaber auf die Halbinsel Peljesac. Unseres Erachtens für 2 Familien mit 4 Kindern bestens geeignet auch wegen der guten Rückzugsmöglichkeiten auf zwei weiteren Terrassen unterhalb des Wohn-Essbereiches. Adrian, der Manager vor Ort sehr hilfreich; hat einen Tagestrip mit Ausflugsboot zu den elaphitischen Inseln perfekt organisiert. 120 Stufen zum Haus und 130 Stufen zum Wassser sind natürlich nichts für Gehbehinderte, Unsere Bestzeit vom Meer zum Haus betrug 25 sec.

Magnifique pays , des paysages fabuleux avec une eau couleur vert émeraude ,À visiter absolument

Très belle maison , bien équipe , propre , fonctionnelle , spacieuse avec climatisation dans toutes les chambres. La literie est de qualité .L accès privé à la mer est un vrai plus . il vous faudra monter et descendre des escaliers pour y accéder mais accessible facilement sauf pour personne à mobilité réduite . A proximité des restaurants , plage etc ... je vous conseille fortement cette villa si vous voulez passer un magnifique séjour . Aucun point négatif , Adrian qui vous remettra les clés est très arrangeant et vous donnera de très bon conseil pour visites , restaurants etc...

Hard to find better

I have given this rental 5 stars because we were really sad to leave and that is a great indication of a quality stay. Here are the pros and cons as we see them. Pros Just amazing view every day. Plenty of space for 6 and lovely areas to relax Light modern design and tasteful decor Walking distance of Stikovica with the great pizza place which is v good value and does tasty fish and meat dishes. Also the more expensive but fab Konoba Veranda. Canoe rental from pizza place. Possible for skipper of boat trip to drop us at our little dock. Short drive to Zaton for food and nice walk in woods. Swimming frrom bottom of garden. Private. Water warm in June. Comfortable rooms. Quiet Cons You sometimes hear neighbours on holiday Broken shutter in top room. Put towel in front No help getting suitcases up and down. Lots of steps. Good workout ! Could have used more beach towels Hob slow That being said would love to return

Exquisite, Stunning Beauty - Precisely as Shown

Well this was a real gem of a find for our extremely highly rated Croatia trip we just returned from. I would recommend the house just as much as the consideration of Croatia as a country to visit. It is important to note and not dismiss that everybody staying in the home does need to be physically fit and able to traverse a couple hundred stairs a day without issue, as there is no other choice. Otherwise what seems a bit difficult certainly becomes much less challenging by the end of your stay, and again this is an absolute artists dream of capturing the views the Adriatic Sea has to offer from the coastline of beautiful Croatia.

A perfect week!

We loved the Cliffhouse! The location is ideal -a lovely, quiet cove away from the crowds but close enough to Dubrovnik to make several trips. The water was clean, clear and warm. It was so pleasant to visit Dubrovnik in the late afternoon after the crowds abated, have dinner and return in time for a twilight swim. Adrian arranged a fun boat tour with Antonio for a visit to the Elafiti Islands and some cliff jumping for our boys. We also kayaked in the bay to a secluded beach, explored and swam off the peninsula across the bay and took a day trip to Kotor in Montenegro. On our last night, we had a delicious traditional dinner at Konoba Veranda a 5 minute walk away at Stikovica. The house is clean and comfortable with lovely views - and lots of steep stairs for hardy travelers!

Of course lot of stairs to climb every day but that was known before and if you took it as an daily workout it was ok :) mornig swim in the sea was really great experience. Lot's of space for our team of 6 people. Kitchen very well equipped. Well, new coffee maker would be a bonus for next visitors. Housekeeper is very nice and helpful. We had a car so moving around was easy. Also taxi is quite cheap and Uber works very well around Dubrovnik. You can not really walk anywhere, the roand are so narrow so it would be quite dangerous. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you !!

Beautiful home with incredible views

We had a fantastic week at the Cliff House. The house is comfortable and nicely furnished. There were four of us so each couple had their own floor and bath but the home can easily accommodate 6- 8 people. Adrian, the caretaker, was extremely helpful and willing to help make our stay enjoyable. He arranged an all day boat trip to the islands that was spectacular. We liked the house being outside the city as it was nice to return home at the end of the day and relax. There is a local restaurant within walking distance, Konoba Veranda, that I highly recommend - the food is fantastic. The only drawback is the steps - there are 126 steps from the road to the house. They were not a problem for us because we exercise regularly. Getting the luggage down and back up the steps is a struggle. The neighbor has a lift for luggage but we were told they will not allow guests of the Cliff House to use. This needs to be addressed. Overall we had a great week and I would definitely rent this house again.

The "Cliff House" is Wonderful

Our family had a wonderful week in the "Cliff House". The home is spacious, well furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. And the views!! We will never forget sitting on the balcony (there is more than one), reliving our day, drinking fine local wine and watching the sunset over the bay. Our special thanks to Adrian the property manager. He was always very responsive to our questions and requests. He arranged two terrific day tours. An all day private boat ride to the nearby islands (fun swimming and hiking) and an all day private tour in Montenegro. However, be sure to note there is a long staircase from the parking area down along the cliffside to the house. It was easy to get our luggage back up the hill thanks to an electric powered lift but those with mobility issues may find the stairs a challenge. For us, it was no problem and simply a feature of a home in a spectacular location.

First class accommodation.

This property is ideal for anyone who enjoys comfort, relaxation, snorkelling or climbing steps. Adrian the agent was very helpful and kind. He arranged a private day out on a boat for five people and we snorkelled and had lunch on one of the nearby islands and were treated to a 12m cliff dive (only the kids were brave enough to do it). Zaton was very nice and had good shops and a nice walk. Excellent snorkelling (including a friendly conger eel) and nearby secluded beach. Handy taxi ride to Dubrovnik for evenings out. Nearby Slano was worth visiting. All-in-all an excellent stay, superb weather and about 240 steps from the car to the sea meant we got fit.

Cliffhouse

We had a fantastic week at the cliffhouse. The location was excellent, with a great view over the entrance of port of Dubrovnik, and bay of Zaton. The house was nice and everything was in good order. The highest rated restaurant in Trip advisor for Dubrovnik was only 5 min. of walking away, Konoba Veranda at Stikovica. If you are looking for a peacefull place, we highly recommend the cliffhouse. The house manager Adrian was very helpful, and gave us good advices about what to do.

Paradise on earth!

The Cliffhouse was our holiday home for one magical week ! We were a party of 8 with 6 adults and two teenage boys. All of the adults had there private rooms, and the two teens shared a spacious room. The house layout is such that everyone can enjoy time together, or be secluded either indoors or even outdoors on one of the many patios facing the sea. The bedrooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the linens are new and super soft ! We enjoyed dinners out in Cvtat, ice cream and wine tasting in Dubrovnik, and day trips to the surrounding areas with much ease. We were even lucky to have seen dolphins from the balcony as we awoke early in the morning ! Apparently a rare sighting. The priviledge to dive directly into the Adriatic from the private platform was a welcome wake up activity every morning ! Our communication with the hosts was friendly, easy and quick. We will be back very soon to enjoy more of Croatia. We highly recommend this holiday home!

Great seafront property with stunning views

The villa is very spacious and well-equipped, with breathtaking views. Adrian the property manager was incredibly helpful with organising activities for us. There are a couple beaches close by that were very nice too. A quick warning: the villa has many stairs both from the road and to the sea and I would not recommend it to anyone who has problems with steps.
