Beautiful views. Cozy cabin.
Overall this cabin met our expectations.
For people with kids:
With a toddler, it was important for us to have enough space for her to roam and play, and for it to be child safe. They had outlet protectors in place in the majority of the common areas and the ‘kids’ room. No open stairwells. They had children’s dishes available with all the recent superhero’s and princesses, and an adorable toddler sized rocking horse, which our daughter named Patch! ☺️ There was not a sled available in the garage, but Safeway had plenty and we left ours for future use!
Kitchen:
Pros - fully stocked, plenty of dishware for a large dinner party. Refrigerator was large and relatively new model. Plenty of pantry space for groceries.
Cons - most of the cookware was outdated, there were few cutting boards which were in rough shape, knives were few and far between, cooking utensils were falling apart at times, and the nonstick pans were peeling. The drawers and cabinets were very disorganized and it was difficult to find what we needed. As I said before, it’s stocked with everything you could need, but the trick was finding it!
Bedrooms:
Very cozy. The linens were comfortable, plenty of pillows to choose from. The master did not have a closet available (it’s locked) and minimal space for clothes in drawers, but the other bedrooms had large closets to compensate.
Vacasa provides plenty of toiletries, soaps, etc, so the House was well stocked and we didn’t have to make any runs at midnight for more toilet paper, which was nice.
Open concept:
The living area was nice and spacious with plenty of windows to soak in the views. Sunrise was amazing here. The kitchen overlooks it, so if you have kiddos, not to worry.
Again, we truly enjoyed our stay here, and would be happy to come again in the future. Close to all of TAHOE Donner’s amenities, 10 minute drive to Truckee, and easily accessible to the highway.
Thanks for a great stay!
