Ein beeindruckender und geräumiger umgebauter Scheunenhof, der zu einem hohen Standard renoviert wurde, ohne dabei seinen Charakter zu verlieren. Die Hauptunterkunft bietet Platz für 15 Personen in 5 Schlafzimmern und mit La Petite Folie bis zu 19 Personen in 7 Schlafzimmern.

Die Hauptunterkunft bietet Platz für 15 Personen in 5 Schlafzimmern im ersten Stock, alle mit eigenem Duschraum und Toilette im ersten Stock. Der große offene Wohn- / Essbereich ist mit einer großen, voll ausgestatteten Küche mit einem Smeg-Doppelofen, einer Waschküche und einem Hauswirtschaftsraum sowie einer großen rollstuhlgerechten Toilette verbunden. Der schattige Verandabereich bietet einen zusätzlichen Essbereich mit einem großen Steingrill.

Neu für 2018 - La Petite Folie ist ein separates angrenzendes Erdgeschoss Eigentum mit 2 Schlafzimmern für bis zu 4 Personen. Es ist ideal für die Großeltern, die ein bisschen mehr Privatsphäre wünschen oder für diejenigen, die eine ruhigere Gegend mögen. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein voll rollstuhlgerechtes Duschbad mit WC und Waschbecken. Es hat ein zweites Schlafzimmer und ein zweites Duschbad und WC. Der offene Wohnbereich verfügt über eine definierte Küche / Essbereich und doppelte Glasschiebetüren, die auf die gemeinsame Veranda führen.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass La Petite Folie niemals separat vermietet wird, so dass die Gäste den Parkplatz, das Grundstück und den Pool immer exklusiv nutzen können, unabhängig davon, ob sie diese Unterkunft buchen oder nicht. Beide Unterkünfte sind im Erdgeschoss komplett barrierefrei.
Umfangreiche Gärten und Rasenflächen umgeben das Gebäude mit viel Platz für Ballspiele sowie einen Bouleplatz, Kinderschaukeln und Rutsche, eine Tischtennisplatte. Das solar beheizte 12-Meter-Salzwasser-Schwimmbecken ist sehr sicher, da es mit einem abschließbaren Tor dezent abgezäunt ist. Es gibt eine weitere 9 Hektar große Wiese und Wald zu erkunden, darunter einen kleinen Fischteich und eine 300 Jahre alte Eiche.
Beide Unterkünfte verfügen über WLAN, Flachbild-TV, FreeSat für UK-Programme, DVD / MP3-Player und eine Hi-Fi-Anlage. Es gibt viele Bücher, Karten- und Brettspiele und Spielzeug für jedes Alter.

Unsere Schlafzimmerarrangements sind sehr flexibel und wir werden immer versuchen, die perfekte Konfiguration für jede Gruppe bereitzustellen. Alle Betten sind vorhanden und ein optionaler Endreinigungsservice ist auf Anfrage verfügbar.

Family holiday
Beautiful gite with plenty of room for everyone, indoor and outdoor. The pool was perfect for the children with a lockable gate to keep the youngest safe. Would have benefited from a bit more local information but otherwise a great family gathering.

An excellent location with super hosts
The property is in an excellent location for a brilliant family holiday in a quiet location not far from many attractions for the whole family to enjoy and a couple of hours drive from the coast. Excellent swimming pool and other facilities on site. The hosts Julia & Eric were superb and extremely helpful, definately 5 star all round.

Fabulous pool and gardens
We were 3 families with 6 children aged from 2-10 years. The pool was fantastic, such a fabulous temperature and the baby pool at the end meant we could all be together in the pool and the very little ones were able to stay in as long as they liked. The grounds are extensive and we enjoyed a couple of great games of cricket and the children had plenty of room to run around. We also made the most of the outdoor bbq area. The only time we left was the daily commute for bread or shopping. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, utensils and we fell in love with the little lada and all its pots and pans. Overall we had a fantastic time in a fantastic location. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning gite in a peaceful location
We have just returned from 10 nights and have had such a lovely and relaxing holiday. We were a group of 4 couples/families with children aged 7-16yrs, and all had a great time. The gite is so well set up. Plenty of room and the bedrooms all spacious (each with their own shower rooms which was amazing!!) We didn’t spend much time in the living area, but it was all well set out and plenty of space. The outside area was great! A beautiful pool area with plenty of sun loungers and totally enclosed for the children. Lots of land to explore and a fantastic outside dining and lounge area with bbq (where we spent our evenings!) Julia and Eric are lovely hosts, on hand for any queries/requests, and they have created a lovely holiday home that we cannot recommend enough. Thank you! We did not want to leave!!

A fabulous holiday with a group of friends and children
We had the most incredible time at the gite. A large group of friends and their children had a holiday together and we had a fabulous time! The swimming pool was perfect and really safely gated. There was a very secure gate which only adults could really open which gave an extra sense of security. The swimming pool was gorgeous. It was the perfect size for the whole party and there was also a smaller paddling pool which was perfect for little children who cannot swim. This would warm up in the sunshine which was such a treat for the little ones. The garden is beautiful and expensive and there is plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy their own thing. We really enjoyed the ping-pong table and the little playground. The location is very peaceful and beautiful and there’s a local river which had the possibility of canoeing and local horse stables as well. Julia was a wonderful host and she was so responsive. On a few occasions we needed her input and she was very patient with us and kind. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home and for giving us a holiday that we will always remember. Eyes

Amazing week
We had such a great week here. The Gite is very well equipped and has everything u need. Lots of space inside and is pretty impressive from the outside to look at too. My parents stayed in the little apartment Attached to it which was wheelchair accessible, perfect for them. We spent most of our week in the pool. What a fantastic pool, it is very well kept and lovely and clean. Lots of Water toys for the kids to play with and the little baby splash pool was fantastic, we couldn’t keep our baby girl out of it. The gardens are huge and so much space for everyone to play as had table tennis, basketball, swing and slides. We were two families plus our parents and we had plently of room for all of us. A very friendly couple who were more than happy to help where needed. Wish we could of stayed longer.

Tres bien Le Gite
We have stopped at the Gite now on 3 occasions and each time have thoroughly enjoyed it. This time we took another family and all had a brilliant holiday. It was an extremely relaxing week where we enjoyed the beautiful countryside. It is a perfect location for both walking and cycling. The Gite is beautiful inside and out, its extremely well equipped and has plenty of space. The owners Julia and Eric are very welcoming and on hand if there are any issues. They are always happy to help. They have also provided a wealth of information on the local area for reference. The pool is perfect for all the family to enjoy. There is also a barbeque and outdoor seating area where we spent a lovely sunny evening eating al fresco. I would highly recommend Le Pontreau, as would my friends. We will definately be going again!!

A large well maintained Gite with plenty of room both inside and out for our family of 18 stay. Julia and Eric were immediately on hand to handle the one or two very minor issues that we had. The property is well stocked with all cooking equipment and ancillaries. The beds were firm which meant a good nights sleep for everyone. There isn’t any air conditioning and the bedrooms did get rather warm on a couple of nights. The pool was very good, big enough for all of us to be in there at the same time and our hosts cleaned it on a regular basis. There were also plenty of outside play equipment provided as well which we made use of. The property is in a tiny village but only about 15 minutes drive from the main roads.Overall we had a lovely stay at Le Pontreau and would recommend this Gite to other large family groups looking for a an authentic stay in France.

Luxury gite in sunny Vienne!
We've just returned from spending a fabulous week at 'le gite du pontreau' in Vienne, France. The gite is very spacious and has lots of rustic charm, with a large outdoor terrace and BBQ, huge south facing private garden and lovely 'sun trap' pool area. The owners live next door which is handy if you need some help or advice, otherwise you won't even know they're there! The gite is situated in a tiny hamlet surrounded by farmland and we saw hares, a red squirrel, partridges and a pheasant during our stay, most of them from within the garden!. Away from the peace and tranquillity there's plenty to do and see in the local vicinity. We had a wonderful lunch at a restaurant terrace on the banks of the river Charente at the Hotel du Commerce in Civray, lovely on a sunny day. For a more energetic pastime try canoeing down the river Clain from the canoe hire centre in nearby Vivonne, or for nature lovers there's The valley of the Monkeys about 15 minutes drive away. Overall I would give the holiday and the gite a 5 out of 5. The only thing that could have been better would have been to stay for 2 weeks instead of just the one!
