Unsere wunderschöne Sweet Rose gehört zu den Pilgrims Rest Cottages an der englischen Riviera. 4-fache Finalisten für die beste Selbstversorgung an der englischen Riviera und in Süd-Devon, 2017 als Zweitplatzierter und 2017 Gewinner des "Most Dog friendly Accommodation Business".

Nach dem englischen Heritage Grade 2 * von nationaler Bedeutung, die Jahrhunderte zurückreicht, wurde Liebe in ihre Restaurierung gegossen, um einen besonderen Ort für unsere Gäste zu bieten, wo Geschichte auf modernen Luxus trifft.

Voller Charakter mit einem beneidenswerten Slipper-Bad, einem super bequemen King-Size-Bett, einem entspannenden Raum im Erdgeschoss mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, die die Gäste gewollt haben, begrüßen wir seit 2009 Gäste, die sehr viel Spaß mit Gästen haben, die uns über Ownersdirect (jetzt Homeaway) gefunden haben. .

Mit einigen Willkommensgeschenken als Dankeschön, kombiniert mit unseren eigenen detaillierten Informationen über Spaziergänge / Strände / Restaurants / künstliche und natürliche Attraktionen, um Gäste zu den vielen Edelsteinen in der Gegend zu führen, bieten wir einen wundervollen, malerischen Ort zum Verweilen an Sie können Edelsteine in unserer Gegend von South Devon, der englischen Riviera, mit oder ohne ihren vierbeinigen Freund im Schlepptau erkunden.

In einem der historischen Dörfer, die heute Torquay ausmachen, sind wir nicht so isoliert wie so viele historische Orte, und so finden die Gäste unsere Auswahl an lokalen Geschäften in einem zweiminütigen, ebenen Spaziergang, ideal für ihren Aufenthalt.

Tierfreundlich, was in einem 4 * Platinum-Anwesen ungewöhnlich ist, können wir auch verwöhnende Behandlungen in Ihrem Ferienhaus arrangieren.

Unique cottage

The Sweet Rose is quite neat very small downstairs but a lovely bedroom,unusual to have bath there and I was a bit concerned that my wife could navigate the stairs as she has Parkinson’s but she was absolutely fine. The dog loved the garden and meeting the other dogs in the neighbouring cottages.We really enjoyed the visit and would recommend the cottages and the Barton area.

Short Break

Sweet Rose Cottage was very clean and pleasant and as described in the details online. It was nice to be greeted with a bottle of wine and snacks, milk coffee tea and sugar enabled us to have a drink on arrival, even better as we arrived around 9pm after visiting family earlier. (even our dogs had snacks provided).

3 day break Easy to find with local shops close by . Parking is tight so ensure you reverse park for ease of getting out of the carpark . Hosts are wonderful . The cottage is so cute for 2 people , plus our dog , everything you need. Oven works well and the welcome note and wine , treats for the dog was a lovely jesture. Pic shows spiral staircase , be prepared for the steepness. Great use of space . Bath is lovely to soak in after a day exploring the area . Loved our stay and we will be back.

Cottage was fully equiped , dog friendly , and contained everything you would need for your stay . Off street parking , a bonus in Torquay . Sweet Rose cottage is in a great location to explore the many and various beaches etc. Very comfortable with all you need to enjoy including a nice enclosed private peaceful garden. My wife and I enjoyed our stay in sweet rose cottage. It was exactly as described in the listing. The check-in process was very smooth and Martin was a great host. We love partnering with holiday owners in this hidden gem of the UK. Pilgrims Rest Cottages is a fantastic example of this. Proud owners Martin and Kim restored the cottages and have been welcoming guests since 2009. Since then they've picked up multiple awards but still have the same passion and drive to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Sweet Rose is one of three award winning barns at Pilgrims Rest. This quaint one bedroom property features a luxury roll top bath and king sized bed making it a relaxing and cosy place for a couple to stay and explore the English Riviera.

Sweet Rose is all about relaxing and unwinding. As you enter this lovingly restored cottage, you will find everything you need for a cosy space for two people. The open plan ground floor layout includes a sofa, dining table and kitchen area, while spiral stairs take up upstairs to the bedroom where you will find a super king size bed a a gorgeous roll top bath to enjoy a luxuriating soak with a glass of wine or champagne.

Guests also have access to a range of beautiful outdoor spaces that are shared with the other cottages on the site. Choose from the sunny courtyard at the entrance of the properties, to a beautifully furnished orchard garden featuring an oak table and chairs, sun loungers to enjoy in those blissful summer evenings. Why not BBQ in Orchard Garden which all 3 cottages are welcome to share.

Please note that upstairs is accessed via a spiral stair case, with stair gates at both the top and bottom. The stairs may be challenging for those with mobility issues. For any questions or concerns around accessibility, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Dating back to the 15th century with links to the Spanish Armada and the Prince of Orange, now loving restored with historical roots but filled with modern day luxuries. To stay in such a place, yet have access to excellent local shops within a stroll, beaches, countryside and all that Torquay and surrounding villages offer, is brilliant.
