Dieses Ferienhaus in Seaham liegt in ländlicher Umgebung und am Meer. Ryhope Engines Museum und Penshaw Monument zählen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region. Wer etwas unternehmen möchte, wird hier fündig: Cineworld Dalton Park und Massive Attack Paintball. Ebenfalls einen Besuch wert sind diese beiden Highlights: Funshack und Karting North East. Wunderbarer und ausserordentlicher Ort!

Wir haben im Juli 2022 3 Wochen im Castle verbracht und haben es sehr genossen! Für uns hat alles perfekt gepasst! Der Bau, die Ausstattung und die einmalige Lage mit der wunderbaren Aussicht machen diese FeWo einzigartig. Wir haben viele Ausflüge in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung gemacht. Sind zum Meer herunter gelaufen, haben die Ruhe genossen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Es ist definitiv ein Ort um wieder einmal hinzugehen.

Wohnen in einm alten Türmchen mit Blick auf die Nordsee

Liebevoll restauriertes antikes Türmchen in typisch englischer ländlicher Umgebung mit Höfen und Pferdeweiden. Vom Vorplatz sowie auch aus den Fenstern beeindruckt die Aussicht auf die Nordsee. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer und die Küche. Hier könnte die Ausstattung an Besteck und Geschirr noch etwas ergänzt werden, man kommt aber gut zurecht. Zum Empfang stand ein reich ausgestatteter Präsentkorb auf der Anrichte mit typisch englischen Produkten. Im oberen Stockwerk dann zwei Schlafzimmer und das etwas spartanische Bad. Hier fehlen ein paar Haken o.ä., z,B. zum Aufhängen der Handtücher usw. Alles in allem aber kein Problem, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Simply perfect - a true gem.

We would love to keep this as our secret, but Kinley Hill Tower deserves the publicity. This place is really unique, not only because of its history and the hospitality of its owners, but also because of its surroundings. The fact that the tower is placed on a working farm means that it is surrounded by paddocks populated by numerous horses. It might well be every girl's dream. But also the male travellers in this party enjoyed it a lot. The tower well equipped and even has the best wifi of any holiday property we have experienced so far. The sea view is stunning and the walk especially to the smaller of the two beaches nearby offers some sort of adventure for children. For most other activities a car is obligatory. We chose to visit this part of England mainly because of the tower, but have soon learned that the area itself is quite underrated. It offers a lot to see and do with bigger cities like Newcastle and Durham and extraordinary sights like Hadrian's Wall nearby. Shopping is another option with Dalton Park outlet centre only a short drive away. We were really quite sad when we had to leave Kinley Hill Tower and we hope to return someday soon.

Wunderschönes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Mitten im grünen stehender Turm, umrahmt von Wiesen und Feldern. Sehr schön eingerichtet und gemütlich. Absolut sauber. Auto wird benötigt. Seaham ist eine nette kleine Stadt direkt an der Küste. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten inklusive Outlet Shopping Center, Restaurants sind vor Ort. Mit dem Auto ca. 10 Minuten

Mini Castle on the Hill

Fabulous stay in this unique folly! it was lovely to see the sea and horses from the windows each day and there was plenty of activities to keep the children entertained close by - especially finding sea glass treasure on the local beaches.

Truly amazing!!!

This place is even more beautiful and unique than the pictures! We had an incredible stay here and really loved the location, wildlife and surroundings. Very clean and well kept, tastefully decorated and made for an unforgettable visit. Would love to come back one day!

Folly good fun!

Such a lovely place, in the centre of fields with horses grazing peacefully around making the setting perfect! 10 mins on foot to the beach (to go sea glass hunting) and 10 mins in the car to Morrisons. The beach is pebble and it has a steep incline so if (like me) you suffer with bad knees, you need to take care but it can be done. I have a tween and a teen and they loved the setting enough to put their phones down and enjoy family time 😊 Durham Castle & Cathedral are also well worth the visit. Will definitely be back as there’s more to see and we ran out of time 👍

Perfect Castle on the Hill

We had a lovely stay at this little folly, first impressions were justified and it looks amazing sat on the top of the hill! Property was very clean and welcoming on arrival and nice and cosy. Lovely little supply of tea, coffee and biscuits (although we had brought our own!) Comfy beds we all slept very well with the combination of sea air and walks to go on! Also good supply of hand towels and soap for hand washing. Having read previous reviews about no curtains in the bedrooms we took some temporary black out blinds (the sort that can be cut to aize) and pleased we did as the sun rises in the window of the master bedroom! Gorgeous views all arpund, farm and countryside one way and sea views the other, and very friendly horses! We even saw Dolphins in the sea. Overall a peaceful and tranquil setting perfect for our short family get away! Would definitely recommend!

Wow! What a beautiful accommodation! Pictures dont do it justice. So clean and comfortable. Me and my husband stayed here for a weekend celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. Beautiful Accommodation / Location

Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay.

New Years Stay

We've stayed in this absolute gem of a "mini castle" (as our kids call it) and will definitely stay again. Cute, cosy, well appointed, loads of character, near some beautiful walks, no neighbours but some horses..... what more could you want! Owners brought us up a set of scales to do some new years eve party baking within 20 minutes of calling them. 5 stars all the way.

Fabulous place

We had a lovely stay even though the weather was stormy. The folly is beautiful and had everything we needed. The host has put heating on for our arrival and also helped us to find it in the dark which was much appreciated. The views from the property are amazing. Seaview and horses outside. We felt really comfortable and cozy and we'll definitely be back.

Beautiful getaway

The tower is decorated lovely, it's comfortable, homely and immaculately clean with everything we needed in the kitchen. Set away from any main road it's perfect for quiet down time surrounded by fields. It's perfectly situated for visiting lots of beaches nearby and a short drive to Durham and the famous Seaham Hall beach for collecting sea glass.

Beautiful!

We absolutely loved our stay here, the house/folly was really lovely,clean and well equipped. I had read on another review the bedrooms had no curtains so we took some bin bags and popped them at the windows, would recommended doing this if you like to sleep in darkness! We would definitely be back and book again as our kids loved it and the horses! Thanks fkr a lovely stay 😀

Kinley Tower is located on our family Farm, and has been recently renovated, it is located a five minute walk from Hawthorn Nature Reserve, and easy reach to Dalton Park (shopping outlet) and Metrocentre, Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle.
