Ein malerisches, traditionelles französisches Bauernhaus in einem kleinen Weiler mit abgeschiedenem Garten in herrlicher Landschaft. Das Haus liegt am Ende der Gasse, die dann durch Felder und Gehölze in einen Grasweg übergeht, also keinen Verkehr. Perfekt für diejenigen, die einen ruhigen ländlichen Rückzugsort suchen, aber mit vielen nahegelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten innerhalb einer kurzen Fahrt. Es ist auch nur wenige Autominuten von einem Dorf mit 2 Boulangeries, einem Gemischtwarenladen und einer Apotheke und 20 Minuten von mehreren großen Supermärkten entfernt.

Die Küche ist geräumig mit Platz für 8 Personen, komplett ausgestattet und führt in die Lounge mit großen bequemen Sofas und Holzofen. Treppen führen zu zwei geräumigen Schlafzimmern mit en-suite Badezimmern. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich zwei weitere Schlafzimmer mit französischen Fenstern, die direkten Zugang zum Garten und zum Pool bieten. Eines der Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügt über ein eigenes Bad. Es gibt auch ein viertes Gemeinschaftsbad mit Dusche im Erdgeschoss.

Der Garten ist komplett privat, hat aber eine großartige Aussicht auf die umliegende Landschaft. Kletterrosen bedecken die Wände des Hauses und im Garten befindet sich ein kleiner Obstgarten mit Kirsch-, Pflaumen- und Feigenbäumen, mehreren schattigen Plätzen und Verstecken sowie einem Kiesparkplatz und einem separaten Bereich, wo Sie Pétanque oder Tischtennis spielen können.

Römische Treppe führt in das beheizte private 9mx4m große Salzwasserbecken, das von einheitlicher Tiefe ist und mit einem Alarm ausgestattet ist. Es gibt 6 Sonnenliegen zum Sonnenbaden am Pool. Es gibt auch eine erhöhte Terrasse mit Blick auf den Pool mit einem großen Tisch mit Platz für 8 Personen, Sonnenschirmen und einem eingebauten Grill.

Und wenn Sie abends nicht kochen möchten, können Sie einen 15-minütigen Spaziergang durch die ländlichen Wege zu einer nahegelegenen Auberge machen und ein köstliches Essen mit lokalen Produkten zubereiten. Dann spazieren Sie zurück, wenn die Sonne untergeht, zünden Sie den Pool für ein letztes Bad an oder legen Sie sich einfach auf eine unserer Liegen zurück und beobachten Sie die Sterne bei klarem Nachthimmel vorbeiziehen.

Beautiful and well equipped farmhouse.
This really is a beautiful home. You can see the love and attention that has gone into it. Everything is of high quality and exceeded our expectations. Although it appears to a popular holiday rental you can tell the owners have renovated this property with real passion and all furnishings and fittings, great and equipment are good quality. The grounds are not extensive but are sufficient and very prettily set out amongst the ruins of the outbuildings with various seating areas. The pool is a good size and is evidently heated but we found it a little cold despite using the cover every night. There are boules, table tennis table and various inflatables etc. We did have a problem with a smelly upstairs bathroom and we made the caretaker aware of this although he never did turn up to fix it. The situation is very rural but there are many nice trips out and is close to supermarkets and many nice marked routes to explore directly from the property (we travelled with our dog). The info pack put together by the owner is excellent by the way. Overall though we loved our stay and would recommend without hesitation.

Nous avons passé des vacances formidables dans cette magnifique maison très bien équipée. Le jardin est splendide, très bien entretenue et la piscine est très agréable. Le jardin est clos et le site à proximité de belles balades, de magnifique village et beaucoup d'activités que ce soit culturelles ou sportives. Bref nous ne pouvons que recommander cette location !

Beautiful house in a peaceful position
We arrived on a very hot evening and upon opening the gates we were greeted with the most beautiful gardens, pool and view of the fields behind. The house had everything you could wish for with comfortable beds and good showers. The bbq and eating area are lovely and the pool had 6 comfortable loungers. Josie and Mark, who look after the property, live in Puylagarde and are happily on hand for any questions you may have. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back again soon!

Très belle maison calme absolu
Très belle maison, beaucoup de charme, calme absolu, très bien entretenu, idéal pour contempler les étoiles par beau temps. Evidemment c'est isolé, une voiture est nécessaire pour tous les déplacements (même Puylagarde) mais largement de quoi s'occuper dans les environs proches (de 10 à 40mn) ; beaucoup de marchés locaux dans les villes aux alentours et grand supermarché à 15 minutes. Les renseignements donnés sont très complets. Les deux chambres à l'étage sont sous les toits, avec Vélux, plus chaudes l'été, mais les ventilateurs fournis aident. Les chambres en bas sont très agréables, en enfilade (on peut sortir d'une de ces chambres soit via le jardin, soit via l'autre chambre). Très bien pour un famille. Nous avons beaucoup profité de la piscine, avec un début de séjour marqué par la canicule en France. C'est au milieu de la campagne avec des arbres fruitiers, il y a donc guêpes, mouches et frelons à l'extérieur (en particulier lors des fortes chaleurs que nous avons eues), mais rien qui nous ait empêché de profiter des lieux. A noter aussi une connexion internet bien performante, appréciée par les ados (le réseau est tombé dans la zone pour les deux derniers jours suite à une orage mais ça ne doit pas arriver très souvent! ). Nous recommandons vivement pour un séjour tranquille et reposant en famille, en faisant quelques activités autour.

Beautiful house with wonderful views
We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful farmhouse, staying here with our 3 kids, mother-in-law and our dog. The views are stunning and we enjoyed the pool, which is very pleasant and at a nice temperature. My 87 year old mother-in-law even went for a swim here! We also really liked this area, which is not as touristy as for example the Dordogne but just as beautiful. The check in process was made easy by the housekeepers and when somehow our internet didn't seem to work on the first day they immediately came over and fixed the problem. There were flowers and wine upon arrival which made us feel very welcome. Before our stay I emailed back and forth with Shelby about arranging a taxi for the airport for part of our group and she responded right away and made sure a very nice lady in a taxi came to pick us up on the last day. Thank you! The house is very romantic and the garden is huge. Our dog could just run free, since the property is entirely fenced. She had the best time! (although our dog did have an encounter with a poisonous toad, perhaps an idea to include a general warning on this in the information book? For us city people this was a new experience...;)) The living room and two bedrooms downstairs are very nice and stay cool, even when it's very hot. Upstairs this is a bit more difficult, since the rooms here are straight underneath the roof. But with the provided fans it worked out just fine. The kitchen has everything you need and the pantry provided even more space. We didn't use the TV so can't say anything about this. If I would have to say one negative thing, it would be the bathroom in one of the upstairs bedrooms. There was a bad odour there so we didn't use it. Instead we used the other bathrooms (there are 4 bathrooms in the house!) I think it's hard to change since this is an authentic farmhouse and there is not a lot of circulation, but I want to be honest and it doesn't smell good. But also honestly, on the whole this was such a minor detail on a perfect holiday that I still give 5 stars for everything. Thank you!!!

The Farmhouse was just perfect for a family holiday. First impressions exceeded expectations. The house, grounds and swimming pool were pristine and we all felt at home immediately. The house is very well equipped with absolutely everything you require including an abundance of cooking utensils, an array of useful items such as coffee filters, cool box, tea, coffee, sugar etc. Swimming Pool towels were provided and a ready supply of table tennis balls and bats for the daily family tournament. The Caretakers are lovely and visit the house twice a week to look after the Swimming Pool and Grounds with weekly house cleaning and linen change. The owners are extremely welcoming and provide you with a comprehensive welcome pack prior to arrival. The location is perfect for exploring Najac, St Antonin Nobel Val, Penne, Espinas and the numerous day and night markets. We loved it and hope to return.

A most enjoyable and comfortable stay in a lovely old converted farmhouse
We found the house with no problems by following the instructions provided despite it being off the beaten track. The house was well equipped with comfortable furnishings and beds etc. plus also many thoughtful little items were provided which are not normally found particularly in the kitchen/breakfast area. There was a plentiful supply of towels for both use in the house and also for the pool area. As stated, the house is fairly remote, and as a result was very quiet and most enjoyable. However, one had to use the car for any purchasing trips as the local bakery/store in Puylagarde was closed since last November. The outdoor facilities such as pool and sunbeds, BBQ area and outside dining plus various comfortable chairs were well used and most comfortable. All in all we have a very enjoyable two week stay and we would highly recommend the property.

Superbly appointed rural farmhouse full of rustic charm … perfection!
This is an outstanding property that offered everything that we could possibly hope for … beautiful tranquil location, superb garden/bbq area, petanque (do make sure you play it, it’s great fun!), table tennis, excellent clean and well maintained pool with good quality loungers, various trails from the property that we enjoyed with our dog, very comfortable beds, plus modern conveniences such as sky tv and wi-fi. Even pool towels are provided. A great base to visit the many charming towns and villages in the surrounding area such as St. Antonin-Noble-Val, St Cirq-Lapopie, Belcastel (near Rodez), Bruniquel, Puycelci. We booked 15 months in advance to make sure we secured such a lovely place and, despite having high expectations, were very pleased to find even these were exceeded. Excellent communications from the owner, Shelby, who was extremely helpful and clearly cares about her guests. The welcome manual is full of helpful recommendations and information. Caretakers are lovely too – and offered to do the change of bedding a day early during our 2 week stay to suit our needs. Thank you Shelby for a most memorable and wonderful holiday.

Cleaning is rudimentary and maintenance is basic.
First impressions were very high. It's set in a beautiful part of the country, fairly remote and exceptionally quiet and peaceful. From outside the property looks like the perfect rustic farmhouse. Pool area appears quite lovely, with a wonderful view out over fields. On entering via the kitchen initial impression was a little dreary, dark with a slight musty smell. There are two bedrooms downstairs which seem quite bright and fairly roomy but the main surprise was the bathroom facility for these two rooms. You have to go through the sitting room, kitchen & the utility room to find it. Once there, complete disappointment. It is tiny, a toilet, a sink and a very small and cramped shower. Not a good start at all. Upstairs are two bedrooms which are fairly pleasant each with a velux window and another small window, leading into the bathrooms. Our room had a shower, toilet and sink. Room enough for only one person at a time, somewhat smelly, sorry to say, somewhere you don't want to take your flip-flops off. All a little in need of a complete revamp. Rather tired and completely underwhelming. The other room had a small bath with shower. Unfortunately, no chance of wanting a bath. This bathroom had a really bad odour for the entire course of our stay. The caretakers did come in to try and sort it out but with not much success. I feel this gite needs a little tender care and some updating. I think it's catering for too many people. Ideal for a family. The downstairs bedrooms, although doubles, are totally impractical because of the distance to washing facilities and the fact you have to pass several room to reach it. Perfect for children in my opinion. Pool area is a little shabby, decking is lifting in areas and paving slabs around the pool are loose. Reclining seats are past their best, two of which collapsed during our stay and were not replaced by the time we left. Barbecue does not cater for a larger party, really only suitable for two/four. I feel this place is somewhat 'rustic' in the extreme, bordering on tired and in need of some tlc. My general view is that just enough is done here to facilitate letting. Cleaning is rudimentary and maintenance is basic. The owner was very pleasant when issues were brought to her attention but no effective action was taken.

un endroit parfait
nous avons passer deux semaines dans cette magnifique maison et , même si le temps a été moyen, nous y avons passé un très bon séjour. La maison est charmante tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Tout y est très bien pensé et la propriétaire prépare les choses très bien. La piscine chauffée a une très bonne taille, la table de ping pong est un plus. Vraiment à recommander !

Peace & tranquillity personified
My wife & I and our two dogs spent a wonderful relaxed week at the Farmhouse. If you're looking for a holiday which is truly away from it all, then this is the place. The farmhouse is rustic and home from home with everything you'll need, with a garden and pool to die for. Sadly our week was interrupted by a couple of rainy days, but these were filled by trips to some beautiful medieval villages in the region.

A magical house in a magical location.
This house really gives the wow factor and we had the most amazing stay- we really didn't want to leave. The house and garden provides a wonderful and relaxing place to stay and is ideal for family or friends travelling in a group. It's also a great location as a useful base to visit many beautiful medieval towns! Would highly recommend this to anyone!

Peaceful rural setting with a very well maintained house and a spectacular garden.
Our family spent a wonderful week at this property. The house was spotless and very functional. The garden, pool and outside living area are spectacular and the surrounding area has much to offer for exploring or walking. A 5 out of 5 for our stay.

Fantastic Holiday, beautiful Farmhouse and stunning surroundings
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful farmhouse. The house was exactly as per the photos and descriptions and the house was very clean and well presented. The pool was excellent especially as the weather was very hot so we all needed to cool down. The caretakers were very polite and helpful giving us some usual hints and tips about where to go and what to see. We ventured out to Caylus for lunch and other local villages which was very pretty and went every day to the local Boulangerie which was well stocked and baked daily delicious bread and cakes. All in all a fantastic break, very relaxing and we will certainly book again.

A beautiful holiday home
We had a wonderful stay in this well-equipped, beautifully kept stone house. Although private and tucked away in a small hamlet, the house is only a 5 minute drive away from the village and is within 30 minutes drive from many beautiful medieval towns, which host their own market. There are also places to eat/buy delicious local produce nearby. The kitchen has everything you need and is a pleasure to cook in. The garden and orchard are lovely to relax in, and we very much enjoyed playing all the games provided (table tennis, boules, Kubb). The owners were very welcoming and communicative, and provided a lot of useful information on different kinds of activities in the region. Finally, while the pool was very welcome on hot days, we also found the interior of the house very cosy on days where the weather was less cooperative. We thoroughly recommend staying here!

Gorgeous French Farmhouse
We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful farmhouse. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing break, this holiday home is just perfect. The location is idyllic with beautiful views and only one neighboring house. The garden is lovely, we enjoyed soaking up the sun, lazing in the pool, playing table tennis and eating the delicious food bought from the lovely local markets. The house is gorgeous. It is very well maintained and equipped with plenty of space and very comfy beds. The local village is a nice country lane walk away and the little friendly shop sells delicious bread and croissants made on the premises. We took a drive a bit further afield to the stunning Saint Cirq Lapopie and amazing Cordes Sur Ciel. Both are well worth a visit and are about a 45 minute drive away. We really appreciated the excellent house guide with included very helpful, local information. Shelby was very helpful and replied to my emails promptly. I would thoroughly recommend it!

Relaxing

Home from home
This was out third stay at this delightful property, which speaks for itself! Everything about it was delightful - well-maintained bathrooms and kitchen, comfortable beds, spacious living room, beautiful gardens and pool. We enjoyed walking in the idyllic countryside, but also appreciated the easy drive into nearby towns for shopping and dining out. Perfect in every way.

Fabulous Home
This is one of the best holiday homes we've stayed in. A gorgeous, peaceful location and the house had absolutely everything we needed. The kitchen is brilliantly appointed with everything needed to make gourmet meals from local market produce. The pool and games area are wonderful for sunny afternoon relaxing and play!
