Mit den Eigentümern nebenan haben Sie Zugang zu einer Fülle von lokalen Informationen, sollten Sie diese benötigen, aber Sie haben Privatsphäre, um sich in diesem charmanten historischen Anwesen mit offenem Kamin zu verstecken. Lovely Cottage

Very welcoming cottage...the hosts left us eggs,milk,a lovely cake and a wonderful bottle of wine to start our holiday!! Although Justin was on holiday himself,he was always reachable for us!!! Dovenby Cottage is perfect for a quiet holiday and we had everything we needed.

Best lemon tart ever!

Upon arrival we found milk, a bottle of wine and a lemon cake as a warm welcome at the cottage. The location is perfect for a peaceful break in the countryside and yet close to many attractions. The cottage offers everything you need and the owners of the premises, Justin & Philippa, are lovely and very helpful people. We enjoyed our stay very much and are looking forward to come back soon again.

Komfortables Cottage in Bilderbuchlandschaft

Großzügiges Cottage mit modernem Komfort. Geschmackvoll und funktionell eingerichtet, Liegt etwas versteckt, aber idyllisch in Nettleton, im südlichen Bereich der Cotswolds. Bath und Bristol sind mit dem Auto leicht zu erreichen.

Wunderschönes Cottage

Good location

Location is good for Bath, Bristol, Chippenham and getting back to LHR! Excellent accommodation and Justin is very flexible and worked with us for parking when we had our local family come visit. Will be coming back later in the year and stay for a few days. The cottage remodel is so well done and top grade! Loved It!

Another lovely stay

We have stayed here twice now. It’s the perfect place for a get away, especially in the cold months. House is spotless and kitchen well equipt. We couldn’t ask for more. Will be back.

Stunning Little Gem

This lovely cottage was immaculately clean and well presented. There were some little touches added to make it feel Christmassy as it was in between Christmas and new year. This made it feel even more homely. We visited some nearby picturesque villages and the local pub. The whole stay was top notch and would definitely recommend.

Lovely stay that even the weather couldnt spoil

So Storm Bert gave its worst but didnt ruin our stay. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, everything else was as described and we had a lovely time. Communication with hosts was perfect and the welcome gift of cake, wine, eggs and milk were a godsend.

2nd wedding anniversary

50th birthday surprise

I booked this as a surprise for my girlfriend. I picked this cottage as it was out of the way and quiet, but not too far from places to visit. When we arrived it was exactly as i had hoped, the cottage was spotless and perfect for both of us. It would seem I made a good choice as my girlfriend wants to go back again next summer, as do I.While we didn't get to meet Justin, he was just on the end of a text if we did need anything, but Both Justin and Phillipa had thought of everything, from a pint of milk, eggs and a lovely cake. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all and relax for a few days.

Initial impressions excellent. We stayed for 7 days in September 2024 Probably the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in. The best holiday cottage yet

This beautiful cottage is immaculately presented with quality fittings and excellent taste. The photos do not show just how big it really is. Fantastic bathroom and lovely modern kitchen. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything, there's even bathrobes, a torch if you need to get up in the night, plastic food boxes for picnics, garlic press, egg whisk and rubber gloves. The welcome goodies of wine, freshly baked cake and eggs were especially appreciated. The sunny patio with its beautiful trellised plant trough was a delight to sit in when we returned from our excursions each day. There's a parasol if the sun gets too hot. The bed is huge and very comfortable and has plenty of electric sockets for hairdryer, fan etc. We loved the cosy cottagey feel to the lounge area and wood is provided if you want to have a fire in cooler weather. Lots of dvds, cds,books,information leaflets and playing cards to keep you entertained. The information book provided has everything you need to know about the cottage and the area. We found it very useful.We cannot fault a thing. We have already booked for next year. Thank you.

Everything was of the highest quality!

Justin and Phillipa were excellent hosts and communicators. My partner and I were both incredibly busy right up until the day of our visit, so it was wonderful to receive a very detailed email of the location check-in process and local sights from them the evening before our visit. The cottage was just delightful and decorated and provisioned to the highest of standards and tastes. We completely relaxed as soon as we placed our bags down. The cottage was extremely peaceful and relaxing but with lots to see and do at a short drive away. Highly recommended for a short or long break.

Dovenby Cottage

Great cottage in the southern part of the Cotswolds. Rural location, but peaceful and idylic, and only a short drive to either Bristol or Bath. Many interesting things, towns and villages to see within an hour's drive The cottage looks nicer in person than in the pictures, and has everything needed for a great holiday.

This a family owned property with the family living next to the property. We are a married couple with a teenage son. We are both professionals and work during the week, but remain available should you need any local advice.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Built in 1900 as a stable block and tack room Dovenby Cottage has been used to house horses, donkeys, sheep, chickens, carts and even soldiers on leave from WWII.

In spring 2013 we lovingly converted it to a cottage of the highest quality, whilst keeping many of its period features.

We love this area of the South Cotswolds because whilst being a beautiful part of rural Wiltshire it has great accessibility to a wide range of amenities. We are surrounded by National Trust sites and properties such as Dyrham park, Laycock Abbey and Avebury, plus are very close to Bath and Bristol. One of our favourite things to do at the weekends is to walk to Castle Combe for lunch.

Dovenby Cottage is a lovely place to snuggle up on a cold day. It has underfloor heating throughout, but if you prefer this can be switched off and you can light a log fire. The cottage' garden has far-reaching views across fields.

Ideally located to venture in to Bath, yet escape the crowds for rural tranquility at the end of the day.
