Das ehemalige Laird's House in Morenish eignet sich ideal für große Familien- und Freundesgruppen sowie für Wanderer, Angler und Radfahrer. Zurückgesetzt von den Ufern des Loch Tay, innerhalb eines 50 Hektar großen eigenen Gartens / Grundstücks, können die Gäste einen gemütlichen Spaziergang hinunter zum Loch unternehmen. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, eines der Hauptmerkmale ist der zentrale "Hub" - dazu gehört ein großer Raum mit integrierter Küche (mit Aga!), Essbereich und Wohnzimmer (mit Holzofen) - durch die offene Raumaufteilung wird niemand ausgelassen, und am Ende eines langen Tages können Sie sich hier wunderbar treffen! Unmittelbar vor dem Haus befindet sich der Innenhof, sicher für kleine Kinder, große Rasenfläche (Krocket jemand?)sowie Wälder und Bäche - es gibt sogar einen Wasserfall! Vor der Haustür finden Sie zahlreiche Aktivitäten wie Lachsangeln, Bergwanderungen, Kanufahren, Wassersport, Golf und Vogelbeobachtung. Verschiedene historische Stätten und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bequem mit dem Auto zu erreichen, darunter die berühmten Wasserfälle von Dochart in Killin.

Excellent spacious warm welcoming family accommodation in beautiful surroundings.
Relaxing experience with a large family group from children to grandparents. For some in our group, this was our 4th trip back! The ample accommodation and facilities give plenty of space and freedom, yet a place to be altogether. The owner and caretaker were attentive and helpful.

Very authentic feel to the building and the decor, we had a lovely stay. The house is a little like a maze due to the size but so lovely. Kitchen could do with a couple more essentials such as tin foil and clingfilm but there is a local shop in driving distance with all the things you need!

Great time at Morenish
Great time was had by all at Morenish house, the house is great, perfect for us and so much room for all 12 in our party, the Loch is is 10min walk but a bit of a hike with the SUPS and kayaks 😜 we still made great use of the Loch and used it as much as possible, John the housekeeper is alway very helpful and friendly and nothing is to much trouble, I can recommend this house to anyone looking for a large house with a lived in feel and close to a Loch with plenty of walking around the area, many thanks to the owners and of cause John.

Just a great find
This property is so unassuming but truly excellent. The house is akin to a tardis and is just a gift that keeps on giving! We had an excellent time not least because John (the caretaker) was such a genuinely nice person. The area is lovely with lots to do including a wee swim in the Tay. Amazing Accommodation
We are four old Uni friends who were looking for somewhere to spend a few days catching up along with our mums and kids so nine in all. Morenish House could easily have held twice as many and was the perfect location for us. The house itself was fabulous and the views over the loch were totally breathtaking. We will be back.

Lovely family get together in a great location
We had a great stay at Morenish House. It is a perfect place for a large group as there’s so much space both inside and outside. The cooking and eating facilities were great and all 14 of us enjoyed meals together and slept in comfortable beds. The furniture and decoration is in keeping with an old building which must need a lot of maintenance. We particularly enjoyed the pool table and table tennis table and used the outside space to relax. We walked down to the loch and enjoyed the scenery and had a great meal at the Killin Hotel. Everyone agreed it was a perfect place for our family get together and we hope to be back soon.

Magical!
A perfect place for my large family, room for us all not to be on top of one another. The house facilities were perfect and the rooms quiet at night. The house was lovely, warm and homely. Near to visit fun places for all the family, we went to the Crannog centre and Auchengarich as well as a good walk to the falls at Bracklinn. We wish to come back another time as we all live at opposite ends of the country and a perfect meeting point

We had a lovely break at Morenish House. The house caters very well for large groups with mixed age groups. The communal kitchen/dining/seating area is definitely a great hub for everyone to gather with many other areas for the kids and teens to spread out and have their own space. Access to Loch Tay allowed for some swimming and paddle boarding while the surrounding area was lovely for walking the dogs. John and Alistair were both great at dealing with any problems or questions we had promptly.

We had a very pleasant stay at Morenish House with our family of 20 persons (between16-85 years old). Close to the lake for an early dip in the morning (if you like cold water), close tot several munroes for nice walks, close to the village of Killin for shops and other things, and close tot the golf course for those who like to play. The house was very well equipped (kitchen, play-room, plenty of sitting-space) had plenty of rooms and bathrooms for a family and is situated in a very nice environment. Communication with Alistair was very accuare and friendly, and also John (Caretaker) was very friendly and helpfull. I would very much recommend this house to families up to 20/22 persons for celebrating a nice and quiet holiday in the Highlands of Scotland. Jeroen Duvekot, The Netherlands

A fantastic Christmas in the Highlands
We stayed in Morenish over Christmas and booked Asda to deliver food for the whole holiday (a good tip). First the house is amazing, quite quirky in a great way - Alistair and John ensured the house was ready for us with loads of logs for the wood burner. Our four dogs loved the opportunity to run loose in the ample grounds, down to the Loch. The more energetic of our group had long walks in the snow but the inclement weather prevented us climbing Ben Lawers. Would we recommend Morenish - no hesitation in saying absolutely it contributed to a fantastic Family Christmas.

Charming and spacious
Morenish was perfect for our group - amazing location and views out to the loch with the ability to wander in the grounds and go for a loch swim. The rooms were varied as some had doubles and singles and there were plenty of bathrooms. Beds were comfy and warm. The house was warm with the heating and aga and we loved the ability to start our own fire. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooling implements and a variety of basic spices. Communication was excellent with the owner and the check-in/check-out process was easy and streamlined. Thanks for a great stay, definitely a place I would book again if needed somewhere to accommodate a large group.
