Casa Nova was one of the loveliest places to relax in. A beautiful villa in a quiet, peaceful location surrounded by olive, lime, fig and almond trees.
Everything you needed for your stay was available, it was hot when we stayed, so we ate outside every evening - the BBQ was a great asset and the kitchen was well kitted out and well stocked to meet all our cooking needs.
The house is very clean, with a lovely decor - and when it was chilly in the evening, it was really cosy inside. The tiles in the bathroom were great!
Some of the best bits of the stay was the outside space - there was only two of us, but if there were more, we imagine having the terrace from the master bedroom upstairs as well as the 'ground floor' area, would avoid making the space feel too crowded. The pool was brilliant, cool and clean - much needed after too much sun!
We chose to stay at the villa after a busy stint in Lisbon a few days before, so we didn't go out much. Saying that, we wandering down to the village and ventured to Loulé for a couple of hours; The village is small, but has a couple of cafés and bars, small supermarkets and a good looking fishmongers which only opened for a few hours each day. Loulé had a food market selling lots of fruit, meat and fish as well as some good wine!
Communication with Sarah was brilliant- very easy and she quickly answered questions and offered some excellent information about the area and gave very clear directions to the property. While Sarah was not in Portugal at the time, Remco greeted us on our arrival and was very welcoming and answered any questions we had as well as being just phone call away.
I would highly recommend this listing as somewhere to stay, it was everything that was needed for a very relaxing getaway. Thank you Sarah!
