Das Summit House ist ein 1.100 m² großes 2-Schlafzimmer-Haus mit 1 Bad, das sich auf dem Gipfel einer Firstlinie tief im US-amerikanischen National Forest befindet. Der Gipfel Haus ist völlig Off-Grid und bietet eine unglaubliche Flucht aus der Hektik der Großstadt.

Der Gipfel Haus bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den See und die Berge von jedem Zimmer. Herrliche Aussicht bringen Entspannung vom geräumigen König Master-Schlafzimmer sowie die zweite Königin Schlafzimmer. Die Summit House großen Wohn- / Essbereich bietet einen Raum für eine schöne Zeit mit Freunden und Familie, während ein frisches Getränk zu genießen. Eine schöne Bar aus der Küche wird Sitz 5, wo Sie eine Mahlzeit genießen können in allen Edelstahl-Küche oder dem Grill zubereitet. Wenn Sie Ihre Mahlzeiten im Freien auf der Ebene 2 Deck zu nehmen in den Ansichten bevorzugen, wird es auch Outdoor-Möbel sein.

Es ist für jeden etwas aus dem abenteuerlich Wanderer zu den eifrigen Vogelbeobachter oder auch die bookworm zu tun. Dann sind Nächte Himmel ideal für stargazing und die Sternschnuppen zählen. Kommen Sie und entspannen Sie sich im Summit House für Ihren nächsten Urlaub!

Fahren Sie ein - Das Summit House liegt 8 km von der Autobahn 259 entfernt und ist über US Forest Service-Straßen erreichbar. Es ist eine schöne Fahrt. Wir sehen oft Weißwedelhirsche, Truthähne und Greifvögel, darunter auch Rotwedelhirsche und verschiedene Eulen.

Zufahrt - Sie benötigen ein Fahrzeug mit einer gewissen Freigabefähigkeit und ein wenig fahrerischem Geschick, um die Zufahrt zu schaffen. Wir empfehlen dringend einen kleinen, mittleren oder großen Geländewagen, einen Lastwagen jeder Größe oder einen Crossover. 4x4 ist nicht notwendig, aber hilfreich, da Allradantrieb ist.

Wenn Sie vorhaben, ein Boot mitzubringen, können Sie einen Slip in Beavers Bend Marina mieten. Der Anhänger wird Ihr Boot schleifen und beschädigen.

Wenn Sie einen Minivan oder eine Limousine fahren, empfehlen wir dringend, dagegen zu fahren.

Die ersten 2 Meilen der Fahrt ist einfach, Sie können 25 Meilen pro Stunde fahren. Die restlichen 3 Meilen sind langsamer und erfordern etwas Aufmerksamkeit. Unterwegs überqueren Sie 4 oder 5 kleine Bäche. Wasser ist selten tiefer als 10 cm. Die Straßen sind steinig und holprig. Sie werden niemals schlammig sein. Einfach holprig.

Auf Schotterstraßen gibt es auch Gehalte bis zu 12%. Das heißt, Sie fahren den Berg hinauf, bis Sie unseren Berggipfel erreicht haben.

Im Summit House ist ein Handy-Service verfügbar. Verizon und AT & T funktionieren am besten. Sprint und T-Mobile funktionieren überhaupt nicht.

Sie müssen Ihre eigene Unterhaltung für das Summit House mitbringen. Kein Kabelfernsehen. Sie müssen Ihre Filme auch auf Ihrem eigenen Gerät vorab herunterladen, bevor Sie in unserer Kabine ankommen.

Geländefahrzeuge - Saisonale Fahrten sind auf den umliegenden US-Forststraßen gestattet. Bitte erkundigen Sie sich bei der US-Forstbehörde nach den zulässigen Daten. Bitte lesen Sie ALLE Regeln sorgfältig durch und befolgen Sie sie genau. Es dürfen nur zwei Fahrer fahren, die speziell für eine solche Maschine entwickelt wurden. Alle Kinder unter 18 Jahren müssen einen Helm tragen. AUF DEN STRASSEN BLEIBEN. Kein Alkohol. Die örtlichen Ranger setzen die Regeln gerne bis zum letzten Buchstaben durch. Es ist für eine Gruppe von Fahrern möglich, mehrere tausend Dollar an Geldstrafen in Anspruch zu nehmen.

Kabine ist eine haustierfreundliche Kabine. Die Gebühr für Haustiere beträgt 40 USD / Tier bei maximal 3 Haustieren. Nicht Katzen. Bitte überprüfen Sie die Hausordnung, bevor Sie Ihr Haustier mitbringen, da bei Verstößen gegen die Hausordnung zusätzliche Bußgelder erhoben werden.

Frühe Check-Ins und späte Check-Outs werden nur selten genehmigt, da wir zu 80% ausgelastet sind und unser Reinigungspersonal nach einem Check-Out die Zeit benötigt, um die Kabine vorzubereiten.

Best Yet!!

This was our 4th stay with Bear Creek Vacation rentals. First two times at the Cliff House, then the "Phoenix Rising". These were fantastic .. but this most recent stay at The Summit was the best yet. Clean, spacious and super comfortable. Beautiful big deck to enjoy the view during the day and the stars at night. View of God’s country

This the second time we have stayed at this property and it has exceeded our expectations every time! To get to the property from the highway is 5 miles of beautiful landscape with a stream winding on both sides of the road. We saw several deer on the way to the cabin which was a joy along with all the mountains. The cabin is beautiful with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and lake! We can’t wait to visit again!

Exactly what we wanted!

We loved our visit to the Summit house with our two dogs. Gorgeous views, relaxing retreat with nature. The listing description is very accurate… you are off the grid. We loved the back deck and so did our dogs. We brought a wire gate to go across the deck steps so they could relax with us. We look forward to returning!

Exactly as depicted!

Relaxation, seclusion, privacy, and immaculate views is exactly what we were looking for and precisely what we got! Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway from the hustle and bustle of Dallas! Our only hiccup was one of the A/C units was not working to it’s potential - we were able to communicate with the property manager and they promptly got it fixed for us and the rest of our stay was fabulous. NOTE: if you plan to bring pets and go out hiking—the paths are rather rocky and is hard on their paws for longer distances.

Amazing Adventure!

The cabin location was absolutely beautifully! Pictures don’t do it justice. We loved the seclusion and peacefulness. The kitchen was well stocked (a plus for us bc we like cooking). We really enjoyed riding some of the trails in the area in our jeep. We would definitely love to come back in the fall for the beautiful views!

Lovely stay - peaceful and beautiful.

A beautiful oasis. Super clean inside. Washing dishes in the sink was actually joyful with that view. We settled in for two days and didn't leave once, it was so cozy. Definitely will bring a 4-wheel drive vehicle next time. Our Mazda CX9 did struggle a bit getting up the dirt/gravel steep inclines, but it was a fun adventure. Having wifi was an unexpected surprise, so we got to binge some favorite shows when we weren't gazing at the view. Some trouble with bugs (Harvestmen spiders hatched outside during our stay blocking the front door and gathering in shaggy clumps for about 24 hours before magically disappearing our last day - grateful for a quick Google search that helped identify them - thank you, wifi!!!), but that is to be expected in a remote, mountain cabin situation. Our only complaint was that someone in a neighboring cabin was using a drone nightly and early mornings. It would hover directly above our deck and seemed as if it was peering in the windows. This is not in control of the owners, of course. Just really not friendly of the neighboring renters. We will definitely be back when the weather is cooler, and plan to bring our teens...who will be much more on board with coming knowing there is wifi. Thank you for a beautiful stay! What a lovely property!

Extremely Disappointed

My family and I selected this property for our vacation because it was listed under the “family friendly” section but when we arrived it was abundantly clear that the property was anything but that. The doors to the back deck don’t have locks on them. Instead they are kept shut by a 2x4. This is not unsafe but also a fire hazard. When I brought this up to the host, they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. The property was also unclean when we arrived. Finally, the road to access the property is much more dangerous than the description provided. The hills are much steeper than described by the host. My family and I felt so unsafe at this property after a disastrous first night that we paid to stay in a different location for the final two nights of the trip. We would recommend this property to anyone. I’ve attempted to get a refund from the host but they refuse to grant anything.

Peaceful and Beautiful Cabin

We celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary and wanted a low key getaway. The Summit House did not disappoint. We were able to watch the sunset, sunrise and even a dense fog sunrise which was absolutely stunning. We even stargazed one night and saw a couple of shooting stars. We can't wait to plan our next trip and check out the other properties. Thank you for the beautiful memories.

Peaceful retreat

This cabin is great place to get away and unplug from everything. Very clean We took food & cooked our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. We went with another couple and enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and sitting on the back porch & relaxing during the day. Had a great time and didn’t want to leave . We hope to make another trip in the fall.

Beautiful view and quiet location

We enjoyed the large deck and amazing view of the lake. The birds and wind were the only noises we heard except the short time the generator ran (back up for the solar power) which was understandable because it was cloudy the entire 4 days. The house was cozy and just the right size. The multiple windows made enjoying the lake view and distant storms wonderful. I would have liked to have had blinds or curtains in the bedroom to use if desired while trying to sleep. The owner was very responsive to an A/C issue and it was fixed rapidly. Overall a terrific rental experience.

Eclipse Adventure

We had a memorable weeklong stay at the Summit with our 1.5 and 3.5 year old during the eclipse. The view is truly stunning, and the campfire is placed perfectly for s’mores every night. The cabin was just the right size for us…comfy mattress, soft throw blankets, well-equipped kitchen. We were a little concerned about the ride up and down the mountain, but it was actually really fun for our 3 year old, and we went into town almost every day. We did need 4-wheel drive in one stretch going up. In town, we absolutely loved the Hochatown Rescue Center (went multiple times), and we also did the mining and sand art (in the same complex as the HRC), Beavers Bend State Park, and the wildlife safari. All super fun. The weather was sunny for the first 5 days and cloudy/rainy for the end, but we had fun every day. There was a storm one morning that was so intense…deck chairs flying around, but it was cozy in the cabin, and was followed by blue skies. No issues with the off grid aspect…the generator kicked on a few times for a bit when it was cloudy…otherwise we wouldn’t have noticed anything.

The additional directions provided ensured we arrived without getting lost and our stock SUV made it up without a problem. We discovered a small issue our first morning but I messaged the owners and they were very quick to resolve it. We loved the views, the location, and had a great time. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! It looks even more heavenly in person! Our three kids had a blast and loved playing on the large porch. You absolutely need a 4 wheel drive to get here smoothly. The description of the property is exactly as described. The drive in is scenic and beautiful! The last few minutes you need to pay attention and slow down! There is a reason they call it ‘The Summit’! You are UP THERE!!! But, that’s why the view is so spectacular. I’d recommend this cabin to everyone! Enjoy every minute you’re there because it is a special place.
