Highly recommended - if you want to get away from the busy "typical" tourist towns, come here!
As this was our first visit to the South of France we were so lucky to have spent it in this Villa in Portiragnes! It has given us taste for more!
We are a Family of 5, our children are aged 8, 6, and 4. The Villa itself felt very spacious due to its clever lay-out. The private Patio area leads into the kitchen and living area, where all of the equipment one would hope to find in a kitchen was there, and more. Downstairs a double bedroom and bathroom, upstairs a cosy room with 3 beds for the little ones, a "balcony" bed and a further bathroom. The Villa was, in its entirity, clean and tidy.
We felt we had a lot of space and were not on top of eachother the whole holiday because the patio offers a large area to play, sit, read, etc .
The pool is basic but was concipated presumably with the idea that it is only going to be used to have a dip to cool down, which is what we frequently did. The enclosed aspect of the complex made us feel safe to let the children walk around alone and explore and play. Both the pool and the complex were extremely clean.
Portiragnes itself is an 8 Minute walk from the Villa, the beautiful long beach also about 8 minutes by foot. It is a great place to enjoy a quiet evening meal, ice cream or crepes, or to look at the handful of "tourist" shops, and also to be used as a base to visit many other places along the coast and inland, which we did.
Communicating with Regina has been a pleasure. My emails were answered within a few hours at most and the information package was extremely useful for us. Thank you once again for making the booking and organisation so simple.
All in all... 14 days of pure relaxation! We are definitely going back again!
