Enjoyed our stay. Loved the pool. Small fabric sofa in living area was very dirty and recliner couch did not work well. Fridge had missing shelf/ shelf would not pull out. Beds comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay but some of living area furniture needs replaced.

Reviewer Comments: This Is our second time staying at this rental vacation sleeping is priceless lol I slept like a baby, but I suggest there be lights in the backyard because it was already dark by 6ish and we weren’t able to see anything downstairs, also the Wi-Fi was a 0 we never got service on the Wi-Fi we had to use our own hotspot to connect to anything for the weekend. Communication the first time was superior this 2nd time around was not so great. Over all we loved the stay but those few details were to be addressed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our large family took our first beach trip together to Port A recently and stayed at La Casa Gialla for 4 nights. From check-in to check-out, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and La Casa Gialla was clean, comfortable and accommodated our large group well. The bedrooms were nice size and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen and living room areas were roomy enough for all of us to be together at the same time and still not feel crowded. We weren't able to enjoy the outdoor patio as often due to mosquitos and the heat, but this wasn't a big issue for us as we spent most of our time at the beach. The only recommendations we have is there wasn't space in the kitchen for non-perishables (pantry space), so we had to leave most of our groceries in bags on the floor. Having a gate between the kitchen and hallway would have been helpful to keep the little ones safe and away from the stairs. The outdoor shower wasn't working properly, so we weren't able to rinse off when returning from the beach and before entering the home. These are all minor issues and none that we felt hampered our stay in any way. We highly recommend La Casa Gialla for a family wanting to spend a fun trip at the beach while having all the comforts of home.

Family Summer vacation 2022

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: Big home, private pool, golf cart, close beach access, large driveway.Cons: Check in was a disaster! We received a ready to check in email) as it states to hold off on check-in until we receive code) @4:03 pm and home was far from ready/cleaned. We waited another 30minutes as our frozen foods were melting in car. We then had to wait again for quick home inspection. We Checked in, left house to check out area and beach,came back to hot home upstairs and we tried adjusting A/C unit but seemed to not be adjusting correctly as it was set at 80. We called the “after hours” service and were charged $150 for doing so as they said someone tuned on heater (still makes no sense to this day and we were at blame for it). Guest room outlets we’re out so had to wait until following day to use any plugs there. That same room also had missing TV remotes. This home has lots of stairs and not suitable for elderly or babies. Also, plan to bring your own trash bags as cleaning crew left none. We brought along our dog but there was no grassy area, so we had to leave the home each potty break or use puppy pads. Overall, we had a nice family vacation but seems to be somewhat unorganized due to “busy summer bookings”.

Great family option

This was our second time staying at La Casa Gialla and we enjoyed it again. It comfortably accommodated my husband and me, our four kids, my parents, and my brother and sister in law. The kitchen is incredibly well-appointed for cooking just about anything, though if anything, it could use fewer duplicative dishes to allow for a little space for your own food, spices, etc. One down side for us is the fact that there isn’t a grill. And if you bring one, you have to use it in the driveway where there’s no shade. Makes no sense, IMO. The pool is great. The sunshade wasn’t over it when we got there, but we called the management company and they were responsive. Sent someone out the next day to put it on. That made a big difference, allowing us to use it for longer periods and cooling off the water significantly. The downstairs master suite is beautiful with lots of room and a separate tub and shower that are both pretty awesome. Be sure to get the key to the back fence, which allows you to access the outdoor shower when you get back from the beach so you don’t have to track all the sand in the house. Highly recommend!

Great week

We had a wonderful week in the house! The house was very clean! The kitchen is incredibly well stocked - plenty of bakeware, serving dishes, plates, glasses and flatware, etc. We were able to bake cookies for the holidays and fix lots of wonderful meals with what was available for our use. The pool is not heated so we were unable to use that and there is no grill so we brought a small one, both of these items would be great additions. The house is well set up with comfortable furnishings and plenty of linens. The instructions for anything you need to do are clear and easy to understand. The check in and out process were really easy. The grocery store on island is really expensive so it is definitely worth bringing your groceries in from Corpus Christi. The local store is pretty well stocked for anything you forget or run out of. The house is conveniently located for accessing the beach - it is a bit of a walk but just a few minutes by car. We would definitely use the property again! Our group was 3 seniors, middle-age couple and 2 singles in 20's.

Cozy, fun and has all the things!

It was just a wonderful experience and the home was cozy and had everything you needed. The master bathroom was amazing! It was rainy when we stayed but my twin boys loved sitting on the deck and jumping in the pool anyway. They would get cold and go straight to the master rain hot shower. Perfect distance to the beach with the free golf cart. That was the highlight! The outdoor shower wasn’t working but maybe we didn’t know how to turn it on so we could have reached out and I’m sure the rental company would have helped us. They were a pleasure to work with and seemless transaction getting in and out of the property. Thank you for such a great stay for our family and a very much needed get away.

The private pool was a very nice part of the stay.The only thing I have against the stay at this property is there was a two car garage, which renters don't have access to. Gates were locked with no key to gain access to. This is important to know if you travel from a place far away, you will have chairs, canopies, coolers; which most properties don't want inside the house. So, there is no were to secure your beach stuff, especially if you're in a pickup truck. I called the Property Management company to ask if there was a key, and they stated they've never been asked that before. She said she would call the maintenance folks and get back to me. It's been a week since we've left the property and I'm still waiting on that call.Also, the golf cart that comes with the property, looks very nice, but was a dog. Not much power to it. The company that managed the cart, stated it went twenty miles an hour. I don't think so. We used it once, then decided it wasn't worth the trouble.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Good: Location, Furnishings, Golf Cart. The Bad: No Garage access or side gate access. No backyard access accept down the stairs in back. Anything you want to take to the pool must go up front stairs, then up the interior stairs and then down the back stairs...super inconvenient! Zero mosquito control, we were swarmed every time we opened the door. The interior was not cleaned well, trash in the kitchen, stains on couch, pots/pans dirty, soda cans in the living room. The pool was dirty and there is no bbq pit available. If you bring your own you must cook on the front drive, won't let you cook by the pool. Won't be staying at this place again...especially for what we paid for the place.

The kitchen is well stocked and there were plenty of towels. The private pool and provided golf cart were definitely a plus.Cons: Check in was at 4pm and we did not receive our door code until 4:15pm. Once in, my grandson went straight to the pool only to find out that it was filthy. The bottom was covered with sand and wrappers. The mgmt company called the owner's pool guy immediately but there was no response. The pool was finally cleaned the next day at 1pm. Paid extra to have a private pool that we didn't get to use for almost 24 hours...very disappointing. Also, you should know that you have to walk up to the 2nd level and go out on the deck and walk down two levels of stairs to get to the pool because the owner will not allow you to go through the gate to the pool. Also, to get to the first floor master bedroom you have to walk up a flight of stairs and then down a flight of stairs because the only first floor access to the master is through the garage that you do not have access to. Overall, this is a really nice place to stay and I would stay again if the pool was clean and I didn't have an elderly person with me that had to deal with the stairs.

The golf cart was a nice addition, however I wasn't aware that we had to arrange drop off of the cart. It is not located at the house. It wasn't a problem to get it though. The house only had 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and none were full rolls. We had to go buy toilet paper and paper towels almost immediately. The only pool access is from the top floor, inside the house. The gates outside the pool were all locked creating a problem when trying to take coolers, etc. to the back yard and the pool was pretty dirty. The access is also seems like a fire hazard since the only exit is up the stairs to the top floor of the house. The kitchen area is much smaller than depicted. We had 10 people in our group and it was tight. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of extra linens were stocked, and wifi/tv all worked great. Starkey service was excellent as usual.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful, clean and very spacious. Penny at Starkey is THE BEST!!!! She actually went to the house while we were shopping and fixed the TV's for us old folks that are electronically deficient!! My only complaint is that the outside garbage cans were full when we arrived which left no room for our garbage for a few days. Other than that I would go back in a heartbeat!!
