Der abgeschiedene Garten mit mehreren Palmen und Olivenbäumen ist sehr privat, ideal zum Sonnenbaden in absoluter Privatsphäre. Es gibt Rasenflächen, die sich ideal für Boule, Volleyball usw. eignen, und es gibt eine Holzspielkiste mit vielen Gartenspielen. Wir haben einen Gasgrill und einen Holzkohlegrill auf einer Seitenterrasse am Pool (8 x 4 m). Die 2-Bett-Wohnung, die zu vermieten ist, verfügt über Terrassentüren, die auf eine private, abgeschlossene und abgeschiedene Terrasse führen, auf der sich Liegestühle, Matten sowie Tisch und Stühle befinden. Es gibt auch Tische / Stühle und Liegen an den Seiten- und vorderen Terrassen der Wohnung und an verschiedenen anderen Stellen rund um den Garten. Der Pool ist komplett privat und wird ausschließlich von unseren Gästen und uns genutzt, obwohl wir ihn nur selten nutzen, wenn Gäste hier sind.
Außerhalb der Hauptvilla, in der wir wohnen, befindet sich an der Seite ein schöner Sitzbereich, in dem Sie sich entspannen oder auf einem der Grills zubereitete Mahlzeiten genießen können.
Auf der Hauptterrasse vor unserer Villa mit Blick auf den Pool befinden sich Ess- und Ruhebereiche mit Musik, Spielen und Xbox, wenn wir zu Hause sind.

Alojamiento Rural sencillo y muy económico.

Malgré un accueil convenable, Dès notre arrivé, on a du faire le ménage (2h de nettoyage) après un voyage de 2000 km. l'état de la maison était très salle, notamment les poils d'animaux, toiles d'araignées partout. La maison n'a pas était airée. En gros, la maison n'était pas prête à 100% pour accueillir une famille. Une surprise nous attendait et qui n'était pas mentionnée dans l'annonce est que la climatisation était payante et pas comprise dans la location. Sinon, les paysages sont atypiques et merveilleux et ça vaux le coup d'aller visiter l'Andalousie.

Good stay in Southern Spain

We had a good stay with Carol and Richard at their property in Cartama. The couple are welcoming and very kind but also leave you alone to enjoy privacy during your stay - they have the balance just right. The accommodation is a compact rustic casita, typical of the area and is well equipped for a self catering holiday. With two bedrooms, a private sun terrace, access to a pool and fully equipped kitchen it is extremely good value for a family of up to 5 people. The location is ideal for those wishing to explore this part of Spain with easy access to beaches, national parks and tourist attractions. A nearby town allows you to experience Andalusia with the locals and embrace the Spanish way of life.

Lovely 10 days near Málaga

Spent a lovely 10 days just outside Málaga at Carol and Richard's place. Great hosts, very knowledgeable and can't do enough to help you. We arrived very late due to a delayed flight and Carol and Richard were both there to greet us after midnight. The lodgings are compact and spotless. Loads of games for the kids and information about the local area. The pool really helped during the August heatwave, as did the tv and the comfy beds during our siestas. Really handy location, Cartama is small but a typically Spanish town but if you fancy more touristy places, then Torremolinos and Benalmádena are close by...all worth exploring...we hired a car to try and see as much as we could! Would stay again 👍 Muchas gracias Carol, Richard y los perritos ❤️

Terrible. Location très sale. Pas adapté pour 5. Excréments de chien au bord de la piscine.

Accueil qui ne s'est pas fait immédiatement à la location mais au restaurant ou les propriétaires mangent régulièrement. Après plus de 1600 km et 17h de route, il nous a fallu faire le ménage entièrement de la location. Location sale (frigo, micro ondes non nettoyés, placard cuisine qui sentait mauvais, wc sale, sdb sale). Aucun nettoyage du sol. Vaisselle non adaptée pour 5. Cafetière italienne pour 1 personne. Peu de vaisselle, pas de bol, 4 couteaux enfin nous avons demandé à une amie de nous fournir de la vaisselle. Draps sales. Oreillés avec taches de sang qu'on nous changé, mais cela reste inadmissible. Barbecue non nettoyé, encore de la nourriture sur la grille. Pas de table pouvant accueillir 5 personnes dans la location. Les jours où nous avons eu de la pluie, il était impossible de manger dehors car la terrasse n'était pas couverte. Utilisation de la machine à laver pour seulement 20 min. Avec un programme comme celui-ci, le linge n'est pas lavé correctement. L'utilisation de la climatisation est payante dans une ville comme Malaga, qui atteint plus de 40 degrés en été. Incroyable. Blatte dans la location. Génial. Le comble de la maison, les wc où il ne nous était pas possible de jeter du papier dans la cuvette. Nous devions les jeter dans une poubelle !!! Non mentionné sur l annonce. Inadmissible. La piscine peu nettoyée où il y a des excréments de chiens sur les dalles à côté de la piscine et la "pelouse". Les chiens viennent uriner dans l'herbe à côté de la piscine. Nous ne recommandons absolument pas cette location.

Brilliant Holiday

Had a great week in the flat and Carol and Richard were very helpful. Flat had everything we needed - forgot there were two bedrooms so we had a wardrobe each which was useful. Wi-Fi was very hit and miss but managed to get it in front of Carol and Richard's house. We enjoy walking into town for evening meals which in this case was not possible as it would have been a thirty minute walk (the first part was an unlit lane with dogs at most properties) although Carol and Richard do offer a taxi service. Carol and Richard's three little dogs and two cats are brilliant. Just a warning weather wise - we had a lot of rain the night before we left which resulted in road closures and what should have been a half hour journey to the airport taking an hour and a half. Beautiful area and fab hosts!

I stayed for a week in Sept, my first holiday alone with my two children 3.5 and nearly 2.. I got car hire which is a must. Carol and Richard met me at a bar in the town, where they bought us drinks and chatted for a while before showing me the way to the villa. It's setting is beautiful. The accommodation is small but adequate and has plenty of out door space.. When your on holiday you don't spend much time inside so this didn't phase me. The pool area is lovely and you are free to use this whenever, we had it too ourselves morning or afternoon when we weren't at the beach.. It was clean but yes their are flies wasps overnight so there is a net to use, which again you expect.. I also had ants in there the first night but was given a spray to use and a vacumn. As long as you clean up after Making food or eating there was no issue for the rest of our stay. Carol and Richard are amazing hosts and nothing was too much for them, they did us a bbq, watched my two little ones from time to time, gave advise on where to go, we're very sociable in the evenings, and lent me mozi treatment, and even socks. They really couldn't have done more. My children loved the 3 gorgeous dogs and still ask after them (Toby is their fav) and still talk of Carol and Richard too bless.. Thank you x

Value for money!

Spent 8 nights and had a wonderful time, Richard and Carol were very friendly and helpful, really good for recommendations on what to do. Have to say that their 3 dogs were one of the highlights, friendly laid back and extremely sweet, living their best lives! Oui c'est exactement un lieu superbe.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié cette location. Notre ressenti doit énormément à l'accueil qui nous a été offert par ce couple magique. Il existe des choses moyennes dans la location mais il existe une chose unique c'est l'envie incessante mais pas envahissante des propriétaires de toujours donner satisfaction et de se démener pour ça. Nous sommes proches de malaga, de la mer et donc de ce que nous voulions. Un seul bémol le passage des avions qui sont quand même haut mais que l'on entend mais on s'habitue très vite et cela est sans conséquence sur le sommeil. Mais les propriétaires quels diamants pour l'humanité et la bonté.qu'ils donnent sans contrepartie.

One night was more than enough!!!!!

On arrival at the property we found the property owners to be very hospitable. First impressions were how very small the property was extremely cramped for the 5 people it slept, the details on this website are misleading to say the least. The Property needed a good clean surfaces and floors were sticky, tiles broken, generally grubby. Ants in the kitchen probably not helped by leftover food in cupboards from previously guests, and ants in in the bathroom. Bathroom was horrendous a bi-fold door leading directly into the kitchen that wouldn’t close. Following 3 of us having showers, water took a long time to drain leaving a raw sewage smell behind, only worsening as the evening progressed. I could go on and on listing the issues, but feel that having to fork out for alternative accommodation says it all. We had booked the apartment for a week but after spending one night, in the heat, air conditioning was inadequate and only in living room. With a combination of heat and raw sewage making sleep near impossible my husband ending up sleeping in the hire car. After our first night we left the apartment early the following morning and decided we couldn’t stay another day in those conditions and made the decision to find alternative accommodation, which we did and returned later that day to collect our belongings and advise the owners of our reason for leaving. After we left we contacted the owners via email asked for reimbursement in view of the fact we had only stayed one night - they dismissed our complaints. We contacted them again asking for compensation they refused simply pointing us to their terms and conditions something which was never offered or received. An official complaint was lodged with HomeAway but at the time of writing no response has been received. When looking for holiday properties we always read reviews, it’s great to hear what other guests have to say about a property and helps when trying to decide where to stay. Normally we don’t leave reviews but feel that for this particular property it is important that future guests are aware of what they are getting, we can’t understand why the previous reviews are so good, it truly doesn’t deserve it.

Bon séjour

Des propriétaires formidables, toujours présents si on a besoin d'eux. Dès qu'il nous manque quelque chose, ils sont là. Mais la location m'a semblée un peu petite, la vaisselle très sommaire (5 assiettes, 4 fourchettes et 5 couteaux) et la propreté laisse à désirer (beaucoup de toiles d'araignées partout, réfrigérateur limite) mais j'avoue n'avoir refait un petit ménage en repartant (j'ai laissé dans le même état trouvé). Dernier point négatif : les sanitaires, on ne peut pas jeter le papier dans les WC. Heureusement le soleil et les propriétaires étaients présents. Bon séjour dans l'ensemble

Cozy home with good location when exploring the Andalusia area

We stayed a week at Carol and Richard's place on May 2017. There were 3 of us and had lovely time and plenty of space. Our daughter loved the dogs and swimming pool. We had BBQ almost every evening and afterwards explored the area by walking around the small roads. This was our first vacation in Spain and we're happy to choose this place for staying. Brilliant holiday!

Carol and Richard made us feel really welcome from the start. We had a great holiday with great people! We loved the dogs and the bungalow was great. We hope to book again in the future.

We chose this property in 2000, because of its ideal location for everything. It is within 25 mins walking distance from the village, where you have access to good train and bus services, should you prefer not to drive. The village has all the necessary facilities of banks restaurants and shops and a lively Sunday market. For people who have not visited inland villages, you will find drinking and eating out is very cheap. Menu del dia, a 3 course lunch is approx 9€ in most places and the village Chinese does a 3 course meal, Tuesday to Friday at a really good price. Of course most bars are famous for their selection of tapas and fish.
Taxis to and from the village, should you choose not to drive are approx 8e.

Elegimos esta propiedad en 2000, debido a su ubicación ideal para todo. Está a 25 minutos a pie del pueblo, donde tiene acceso a buenos servicios de tren y autobús, si prefiere no conducir. El pueblo cuenta con todas las instalaciones necesarias de bancos restaurantes y tiendas y un animado mercado dominical. Para las personas que no han visitado los pueblos del interior, usted encontrará beber y comer fuera es muy barato. Menú del dia, un almuerzo de 3 platos es aproximadamente 9€ en la mayoría de los lugares y el pueblo chino hace una comida de 3 platos, de martes a viernes y es moy bien. A quiet break in a secluded area, where guests can relax on their own or join in with any of the games we have. Complete privacy was a must when we purchased the property.
